Premium Member The Lord Alone Is God - Deuteronomy 4: 32-40

Moses declares here the Lord is God
for what great things God has done
since He created man on the earth
ask all of heaven's host God is one!

In the midst of fire did any hear?
God's voice has been heard and is alive
surely not for God is the Lord
the only one that can revive

The mighty works God done in Egypt
seen clearly before Israel's eyes
who heard God's voice in their ears
to be disciplined by the Lord on high

Through this means God showed His power
by bringing them out of Egypt so great
so they received an inheritance to this day
leading them through to heaven's gate

In heaven above and earth below
God reigns supreme there's no other
obey His commands and life will be well
with Jesus HIs son your elder brother

(The Lord Alone Is God)
“For ask now of the days that are past, which were before you, since the day that God created man on the earth, and ask from one end of heaven to the other, whether such a great thing as this has ever happened or was ever heard of. Did any people ever hear the voice of a god speaking out of the midst of the fire, as you have heard, and still live? Or has any god ever attempted to go and take a nation for himself from the midst of another nation, by trials, by signs, by wonders, and by war, by a mighty hand and an outstretched arm, and by great deeds of terror, all of which the Lord your God did for you in Egypt before your eyes? To you it was shown, that you might know that the Lord is God; there is no other besides him. Out of heaven, he let you hear his voice, that he might discipline you. And on earth he let you see his great fire, and you heard his words out of the midst of the fire. And because he loved your fathers and chose their offspring after them[c] and brought you out of Egypt with his own presence, by his great power, driving out before you nations greater and mightier than you, to bring you in, to give you their land for an inheritance, as it is this day, know therefore today, and lay it to your heart, that the Lord is God in heaven above and on the earth beneath; there is no other. Therefore you shall keep his statutes and his commandments, which I command you today, that it may go well with you and with your children after you, and that you may prolong your days in the land that the Lord your God is giving you for all time.”)
Deuteronomy 4: 32-40.

Premium Member Jesus Teaching: Being Watchful

When you see the desolating (Emptiness or destruction) abomination (a thing that causes disgust or hatred) standing where he should not
Then those in Judea must flee to the mountains
A person on a housetop must not go down or enter to get anything out of his
house

And a person in a field must not return to get his cloak
Woe to pregnant women and nursing mothers in those days
Pray that this does not happen in winter
For those times will have tribulation such as has not been since the beginning of God's creation until now

Nor ever will be
If the Lord had not shortened those days
No one would be saved
But for the sake of the elect whom He chose

He did shorten the days
If anyone says to you then
'Look
Here is the Messiah! Look

 There He is!
Do not believe it
False messiahs and false prophets will arise and will perform signs and wonders in order to mislead

If that were possible
The elect
Be watchful
I have told it all to you beforehand

But in those days after that tribulation the sun will be darkened
And the moon will not give its light
And the stars will be falling from the sky
And the powers in the heavens will be shaken

And then they will see
The Son of Man coming in the clouds
With great power and glory
And then he will send out the angels and gather his elect from the four winds

From the end of the earth to the end of the sky
Learn a lesson from the fig tree
When its branch becomes tender and sprouts leaves
You know that summer is near

 In the same way
When you see these Things happening
Know that he is near
At the gates

 Amen
I say to you
This generation will not pass away until all these things have taken place
Heaven and earth will pass away

But my words will not pass away
But of that day or hour
No one knows
Neither the angels in heaven

Nor the Son
But only the Father
Be watchful
 Be alert

You do not know when the time will come
It is like a man traveling abroad
He leaves home and places his servants in charge
Each with his work

And orders the gatekeeper to be on the watch
 Watch therefore
You do not know when the lord of the house is coming
Whether in the evening

Or at midnight
Or at cockcrow
 Or in the morning
May he not come suddenly and find you sleeping

What I say to you
I say to all
'Watch

Premium Member Tribute To Women

Born into the lap of loneliness
Adam paced restless up and down
God knew he badly needed a mate
And willed the solitary man, a companion
Nonpareil in beauty and grace,
God wanted her to be the marvel of marvels
With wonderful craftsmanship,
God began working on His new creation

Seeing God laboring overtime
The angels in Heaven came in hordes.
Overwhelmed by awe and wonder
Rallying round Him, they asked in chorus
“Lord, you seem to take extra care
In the making of your latest work,
Have you any special intent?

God smiled a gentle smile
And said in solemn air
“She should be of a special stuff
Strong enough to withstand all the shocks
But delicate enough to bend and bow
Sweet enough to draw everyone to her charm
But tough enough to bear extra burden
She should have a heart very deep
To hold gallons of liquid love
And a mind patient enough
To forbear all rebukes
She should have a temperament
Willing to forgive and forget
She should be warm enough
To kiss away all tears
With the magic to heal the bleeding hearts
She should bear the seeds of progeny
And shall be the great MOTHER to all
Sister, friend, mate and mother- all rolled into one

The Angels were moved to surprise,
Over the attributes ascribed to woman
They wanted to have a closer look
And just touch and feel that hour glass figure
Unlike Adam’s steely frame
They found her to be of a soft texture
With projections and depressions
Curves and slants here and there
“Oh, she is so fragile and soft”
The angels exclaimed in unison
Not hiding their disbelief
They openly gave vent to their doubt
“With such delicate torso
How can she perform all her tasks?”

God replied in assured tone;
“She is soft, I agree, from hilt to heel,
 But equally tough………
None can guess what she can accomplish!
She can fight to the end for what she thinks is right
She has such great power of endurance
And the gift of intuition, but…. but,
As nothing of this world is perfect
This woman too has one serious flaw
She tends to forget her own worth”

Thus God’s supreme handiwork was born
A marvel of creation, a miracle worthy of adulation!

Premium Member The Christmas Ride

Dear Santa:

Our baby Troll Lilly started a discussion, last night, just to help… you know.
So Santa, I hope you don’t mind some advice from our dear family of Trolls.
Lilly had a question on a problem, about your ride, on your famous route.
She wanted to ask you, what happens when the reindeer get really pooped out?

Yes, she needs to know, what on earth you might do… so to her, you’d get thru?
I tried to assure her that you’d be all right, but she didn’t believe, that was true!
She began crying buckets of tears, so we told her just what we’d do to help you.
The Trolls also piped in, with great ideas to help, so she’d stop all the boo hoo’s.

They decided, their dragons would do, in case of a blizzard, and for extra warmth.
(But they’re too heavy to land on roofs; I cried for a week with mine, it’s the truth.)
Geese would be great in some areas, no doubt! But watch out where lakes are about.
Hunters may be present; Christmas goose is yummy when family gatherings sprout.

Most birds are strong and sturdy in flight, but watch out when full night comes.
They sleep in trees, so you’ll spend the rest of the night, hanging above the ground.
Bears are really sturdy, with great power in every move they ever decide to take.
But I doubt you could wake them in winter, without a truly massive earthquake.

Unicorns would be impressive, but my Trolls say that… they aren’t really real.
I say that they are, but you’d have to be on guard, people want their magic, to steal.
Planes would be impressive, but in a yard… they are really hard… to try to land.
Helicopters are so cool, but you’d be buried in the blowing snow, where you stand.

Dogs are good for mushing, but you might need a smaller sled to stand behind.
But, a few Trolls are perfect, with unswerving stamina, and strength well defined.
Another could help tote toys, sitting behind you and Lilly, who’d be great, by your side.
These ideas cheered her up a lot, she was even laughing, and no more did she cry.

But if you use the reindeer, remember we could be, if needed, quickly by your side.
Have a Merry Christmas, and Santa; please give Lilly a Christmas wish ride.
And you can’t go wrong with reindeer, Lilly, and a few extra Trolls supplied.

Yours truly, From The Eastman’s and their Trolls

Before the Gates of Alahsar - Version - 2 - 9

Now, once more,
the mists of time,
they close over DreamScape.
the vision, now gone,
yet soon the vision shall return,
Once again, DreamScape shall open.
The tale,
it shall sing again, soon,
the son of the storm, the Dak Man,
he shall be h be there soon,
the song shall live,
now, my thoughts must focus,
our tale shall progress,
the song of Alahsar is just paused,
there is much more to be told.

Chapter..........1..........Part..........1..........5.

Now let us return my Lords and Ladies,
golden Alahsar awaits,
the mists of time once more dissipate,
glory comes to us once more,
come, let us soar on high,
the song of Alahsar comes forth,
Charge the horns,
we return to the ancient jewel, Alahsar.
Now, mighty ones,
let us return to the mighty storm,
majestic terror does sing in Alahsar's skies,
This is but a mother.
sending forth her beloved son
the son of the storm,
now, ready to descend to the earth.

The storm does roar and roar again,
its ultimate fury, unabating,
It does rock Alahsar's skies,
fury's circle in fury's dance,
This storm shall cause no damage,
The mother calls forth her son,
her voice is deafening.
Now, all Alahsar watches the storm,
glory and honour to the Dark Man,
when he comes, exultation,
come now from Valhallah,
Dark Man,
son of the storm.

Mighty the cheer,
voices raised to the sky,
down on a lightning bolt,
black unicorn does descend,
Turvehr,
the king of unicorns,
the mount of the Dark Man,
giant, raven's wings held in at his sides,
A great power is Turvehr.
The horn of his power,
black majesty,
the most wondrous of mythical creatures,
down the lightning bolt,
glory and power descending,
The Dark Man,
he sits proud on Turvehr's back.

The Dark Man,
his true form, only ever seen by one mortal,
One pair of soft, brown eyes,
they alone know his majesty,
Dressed in black,
from head to foot,
completely covered,
a huge Cowal does cover his head,
his face never seen.
No flesh at all, ever seen,
only one shall ever know his true form.
The Tigress.
the one,
she never speaks of what she knows,
the son of the Gods,
the son of the storm,
he has now come.
Alahsar's greatest protector,
he is now come,
this is the night of nights.

To Be Continued...........

To The God of Poetry, Gift Thy Loving Kiss

To the God of Poetry, I this beg
extend thy helping hand, reclaim my pen
should we fail, falling to break racing legs
from Poet's heart forgive we mortal men.
Cast thy immense shadow upon mind's thought
We poets know, thy love can not be bought!

To the God of Poetry, this I plead
look deeper into our soul-searching hearts
for there hides, rose-red in the ink we bleed
and beautiful melody in verse we impart.
Cast thy immense shadow upon mind's thought
We poets know, thy love can not be bought!

To the God of Poetry, this I ask
should we weaken, in writing lose our way
shine brighter lights, in love's warmth, let us bask
even if our words are weak, let us stay.
Cast thy immense shadow upon mind's thought
We poets know, thy love can not be bought!

To the God of Poetry, this I know
thy power is in thy mercy and love
forgive us each and every low blow
grant us each, angelic muse from above.
Cast thy immense shadow upon mind's thought
We poets know, thy love can not be bought!

To the God of Poetry, this I need
wisdom from thy spirit, its great power
harvested crops of thy beautiful seed
in thy Light live, not in the dark cower.
Cast thy immense shadow upon mind's thought
We poets know, thy love can not be bought!

To the God of Poetry, this I give
devotion, from mind and my busy hands
blessings returned, from joy which I live
heart's sweeter songs, across thy golden lands.
Cast thy immense shadow upon mind's thought
We poets know, thy love can not be bought!

Robert J. Lindley, 5-07-2019
Rhyme, (Replying to Panagiota Romios's-- finely woven and deeply inspiring, poem titled- "To The God Of Poetry")
I composed this piece early this morn, before the sun rose to gift the day its brilliant hues, promised blessings and sweet
hours to love and be loved..

Note: To poets, poetry is far more than just writing- it is the act of joining.
Joining in communicating, sharing, creating, singing, dancing, loving, living
and many other beautiful blessings/emotions. The more communication/sharing the better for us all. The more gifting verse, words for future generations the better for us all..

Inspired by your superbly crafted poem my great friend..

Premium Member Lord God, You Are My Great and Powerful Christ

October 17 Relationship to God Bible Meditations Based on Acts 8-9

Key Verse – Acts 8:10 To whom they all gave heed, from the least to the greatest, saying, This man is the great power of God.

LORD GOD, YOU ARE MY GREAT AND POWERFUL CHRIST

Lord God, You are my great and powerful Christ,
always working beyond my incapacity
Thank You for healing me of my sin-caused infirmity
Truly extricating me from bewitching worldliness-vanity
Indeed beholding me with Your loving security.

Lord God, You are my great and powerful Christ,
always responding beyond my prayerfulness
Thank You for prodding me to do well with Your gracious steadfastness
Truly convicting me to repent of my unrighteousness
Indeed pardoning me with Your forgiving zealousness.

Lord God, You are my great and powerful Christ,
always granting beyond my desire
Thank You for declaring to me through the Scripture what You require
Truly moving me to believe You along Your revival fire
Indeed making me rejoice in Your bliss that does not retire.

Lord God, You are my great and powerful Christ,
always rescuing beyond my threatened situation
Thank You for accompanying me in my spiritual journey along Your direction
Truly leading me through Your divine vision
Indeed showing me Your goodness with Your compassion.

Lord God, You are my great and powerful Christ,
always upholding beyond my strengthened might
Thank You for proving to me Your amazing and confounding light
Truly watching me by Your counsels so right
Indeed taking me away from harm by Your protecting sight.

Lord God, You are my great and powerful Christ,
always cheering beyond my fear
Thank You for comforting me as to Your heart You draw me near
Truly making me whole against iniquity-affliction’s tear
Indeed enclosing me around Your care I hold so dear.

Lord God, You are my great and powerful Christ,
always comforting beyond my grievous weeping
Thank You for consoling me in my frustration-groping
Truly lifting me up when I lament, miserably coping while hoping
Indeed supplying me with Your blessings that are heaping.

Premium Member Super Hero Thing

While watching my parents being mugged and killed
At age thirty-one my calling was revealed
Got bitten by a rare deadly bug
While surviving a nuclear blast so snug

In a exploding toxic waste dump
As a comic meteor from outer space bumps
Than slams down to earth in front of my face
As the Sun's solar flare burns me in place

While I constantly am being zapped gory
By strange energy from a mad scientist laboratory
Of an intention gone bad but meant to be good
This stuff can't even happen in Hollywood

Of course this little mishap is for the best
Because you now know the rest
Just give me the mask, cape, tights and ring
Now I'm doing the Super Hero Thing

Vision of a thousand eagles
Able to smell with the might of a hungry beagle
Hearing keen, good looks and clean
I can do this Super Hero Thing

Strenght, as strong as a mighty hurricane
Both weak and strong know my Super Name
Invisable if the need and super fast with super speed
Fighting crime, the evil and those with greedy greed

Save the world by saving the sexy pretty girls
There are fringe benefits saving the world
Than loving them in my known name
Super Heros know no shame

Can transform and can fly being good is my high
Using super gadgets and with super powers I thrive
Save the world daily and through the night
While keeping a secret identity is my biggest plight

As a playboy billionaire paperboy photographer
While moonlighting as a mild manner court stenographer
Sidekicks, Villans and the public at large
There need for my fame gives me a super charge

Be it Truth Justice and the American Way
Or just mindless vengeance in play
With Great Power comes Great Responsibilty
And a winning smile and dynamic personality

Still one day it must all come to an end
I must pass the cape to a younger super friend
In the comic world I will be glorified
With a TV series and Movies deal magnified

People will always remember my Super Name
I will always live through my Super Fame
But when I go I'll be just an average Joe
The world will never really know

The guy with the mask, cape, tights and ring
Who saved the world by saving the girl doing the Super Hero Thing

Mortal Mother

Does it matter?
The future of our country, our world, the billions we're destined to create
Legacies built on humble ground form concrete jungles our sun cannot appreciate
Generations past saw less importance to sustain
Industry took place of sowing each vital grain
Filth fills our oceans, scatters the lands, and litters impressionable minds
More attentive equals more aware, requiring us to read between the lines
Willed to us great power and ever evolving ignorance
A choice to conform and ignore or seek out reverence
Generations ahead we cannot fathom have a future dependent on your uneducated selection
So many youth remain unaffected refusing to follow our direction
Unaware of Time as years are carefully woven thru deaths spindle
Spend wisely should apply to all which may eventually dwindle
Mother Nature will undoubtedly tire and she too, as us all, will expire
Be careful to Heed her warnings as they continually transpire
Passing the buck is no longer a valid option
Ambivalence is man made, a deadly concoction that will prove to be our most potent toxin
Extinction is not a myth, do you have dinosaurs as your neighbor?
Did you go to school with t-Rex smith?
sorry to say that your beliefs aren't relevant but who cares where you go in the end if all you left behind were empty cans and a big screen television.
It is a gift to exist, yet it's taken for granted, to really live we must embrace vision.
Preceded by people who changed everything but even the bravest of brave were only highly reactive.
This world we've been handed can only be changed by actions deemed as proactive.
We live in a bubble that we blindly assume is indestructible.
Well informed fools continue their path, blithely ignoring the undeniable.
Do you not feel mortal?
It's clear to some but many can not see the extensive damage we've done
Signs are everywhere, the challenge will be the years to come
An urgent call to action, thinkers and doers are among the highest in demand.
Open your eyes to what can be done,
Inspire your children to lend a tiny, yet capable hand.
Or choose to perpetuate civil destruction by sticking your head back in the sand

An Impermissible and Impossible Thing

Were it not a thing impermissible,
I'd take handfuls of all these silly bits of
Simulacra, and detritus, dross and debris:
The minutiae and impedimenta that are all these
Constricting, confining rules and bylaws, codes and regulations:
And toss them aerially, and burn them with flaming arrows.
For mine is an unfortunately anarchic style of poetry,
And undisciplined, wayward and incorrigible;
Yet free and full of the most veritable sort of life.
It moves here, it reposes and takes its leisurely ease there.
'Tis like unto the wind: variable and unknowable:
Incapable of the charting of windy cartography,
Unable to be predicted or supposed.
Unknown and unknowable, that is what my ilk of poetic oeuvre is like,
It is a free soul, yet ancient, imbued with the great power of the immortals of
Most current and archaic poetry....suffused with the life eternal surfeit in the
Breath and breadth of the words of the poets of the times past.
It locomotes and translocates to that where it will,
And I have no hold over the little anarchist, yet lovable.
Such is my poetry, and it and I will not brook the slightest imposition of the
Lightest controlling word or binding law on us.
We do as we wish, as we must.
I do not call all people to a freeness far too free, but only do I cry out
For the manumission of their works: Of their poetry.
My poems are often without the burthen of the rhymed,
Which I, except in sparing amounts, abhor.
All rhyme schemes are a thing detestable to me,
As to all truly apt and adept poets.
There is no profit in the silliness of utterly contemptible rhyme.
Rhyme is the province and realm, the bailiwick of children, of
The simple-minded.
It is for writers simple of mind, and readers idiotic and apish.
Powerful poems do not encumber themselves with the dread onus of rhyme.
Neither do solemn, serious poems.
For a poem to be real, it must, to indulge momentarily in the hated thing,
Think and feel.
Only those poems that are free and free of rhyme are worthwhile.
All else be a tale told by idiots, full of resonance and furiousness, and in signification, naught.
