The Univited Guest

Why did you come to visit
why can`t you let me be
my hopes, dreams and aspirations
I now no longer see

My children lost their mother
My husband lost his spouse
dirty laundry, floors and dishes
you stole our tidy house

You came without a warning
just like a thief in the night
turning my life upside down
I had no chance to fight

Clouds, rain and thunder
everyday`s a storm
my thoughts have raged against me
I recognize no form

Everything has frozen over
I`m trapped beneath the ice
for someone to pull me out of here
I think??? it would be nice

Morning, noon and night
everythings a blur
it’s hard to form my words at times
you’ve left me with a slur

It’s hard to keep my head up
under the weight of defeat
I often measure the success of my day
by whether I brush my teeth

You come without a warning
you bring a nasty blow
nothing but destruction
for everything in tow

I know one day you will leave me
when there is nothing else to steal
the last thing that you want from me
is my ability to feel

One foot in front of the other
one breath in and out
I will again return to me
I pray without a doubt

Walking On a Frozen Lake

February and its much-vaunted chill
comes down with vengeance, and does what it will,
this lake that in summer jams full with boats
is now frozen over, nothing can float.

Most people stay home at this time of year,
and a whole new set of sportsmen appear,
seeing as I walk, the snowmobile tracks,
patterns in the snow, absent where it lacks.
There are lots of trails in the nearby woods,
lots say the sledding around here is good,
I see them out there, riding towards the sun,
a pack of black wolves, having lots of fun,
still here the hum of engines blaring far off,
I think I’d try it, if not for the cost…

A few yards ahead sit a small shanty,
a man drills the ice so vigorously,
uses a hand-augur, this guy’s old school,
looking to find fish in waters so cool…
he has three lines out, now it’s time to wait,
drink beer with his friends, shoot bull half the day,
hoping to see what his efforts will bring,
only the steadfast go for ice-fishing.

Beyond that are tracks, coyote from the looks
the lake now a highway, free of the woods,
you see where they loped, crossing back and forth,
to field and forest, always seeking more...
more rodents hiding beneath the white snow,
the ice makes it much easier to go.

In the distance a town, by the lakeside
blocks of ice formed in a castle do rise,
cut from this same lake, for the festival,
the kids run around it, so life’s not dull,
and by that rises the toboggan chute,
its outrun is the plain of icy blue,
every year folks go down, sometimes quite far,
then walked back, amazed, by just where they are.

I can understand that, making my trek,
as I walk along, I must crane my neck
to take in the mountains, brilliant and clear,
unobscured because no trees grow out here,
the broad, sweeping vistas that we all love,
for me the feeling of that is enough,
most folks stay inside, but I love to take
long walks out upon a well-frozen lake.

Remember that Starlight and Stardust is Forever

Inspired by our Divinity. Keep shining. Be your authentic self.

Remember that Starlight and Stardust is Forever
By Michelle Morris
17/03/2025

You and I were created
From Starlight and Stardust
Such Magical beings we are
In our Divinity there is Trust

Trust that we are Eternal
Trust that we are Loved
Trust that we are Guided
Sent from Heaven above

For each of us has a Purpose
Each of us has Gifts
We are here for our Souls' missions
To conquer Darkness and Distance

Where Humans see Differences
Where we forget that we are One
When we go to War and Destroy Life
Out Souls remind us that we are Love

Those who are Unenlightened
Who shut off their Divinity
They're flailing in the Matrix
They're Afraid of being Free

But if each of us would Remember
If we would have Faith in the Unseen
We'd allow the unfolding of Miracles
Humanity would no longer be in the in-between

In-between the potential of Magical Moments
In-between the Faith and Fears
In-between the Light and Dark
In-between the Hope and Tears

There'd be a lifting of the Veil
There'd be cracks in the Darkness of Hearts
Light would fill the cracks of Sorrow
Hell's hold would be Frozen over

For anything is possible
Believe it and we can achieve it together
Let's ignite the Spark of our Divinity
Remember that Starlight and Stardust is Forever

For I have eaten of manna
I have witnessed the Holy Spirit I will
not shall not flee in the face of Danny
strange flesh messenger from hell a man
and horse walking on hoofs wearing the
bussom of a woman this unholiest
entered my home leaving a strange
stench of sap upon my windowsills she
opened her black wings beckoning my soul
flying over head with my ex husband
in her claws repent now I shall not
perish for I have been baptised by
the spirit my third eye pierced
Damnation as I passed into gods
kingdom escaping the gates of hell
where operation Danny dissolved
leaving the stinking sap from the
wrath of serpents again strange flesh
seeking her coven within the living
catering to the rotten flesh of evil doers
of hatred my father has casted you
down to hell your wrath is beneath
my beautiful bronzed feet can’t you tell

Be still and know I am God I shall never
ever fear the corrupt agent slithering
around with my ex husband reeking
havoc threatening me stalking me
Danita Delmont agent oh Danny
boy or girl her appearance was
of a woman and a man adultery her
image was a man and horse man and
beast she wore a woman’s bussum a
stench of yeast every time she arrived
ripping my husband from home straight
into her bussom controlling my ex
husband and the domestic violence
taunting me an evil unreal knowing she
carried a badge and a gun hissing
I feared my safety as she approached
God comforted me the Holy Spirit
embraced me during this calamity unholy
hell on earth from glen to glen craving my
death Danny has fallen into the Lake
Michigan where hell has finally frozen over

Christmas In the Desert

CHRISTMAS IN THE DESERT

The north is frozen over; it’s far too cold for me
The sun is hibernating and it’s much too dark to see
I’m glad I am at Orangewood; such a warm and festive mood
Stretching out our stories and enjoying Christmas food

We’re waiting out the winter, playing games and having fun
Slopping on the suntan oil, in the valley of the sun
The magic of the season, buried deep within our soul
Working on our attitude, to avoid that lump of coal

Its Christmas in the desert, my favorite time of year
Outdoors at our happy hour, enjoying a cup of cheer
We celebrate the season, with lights on every street
Up and down the laneways; a nightly walking treat

There’s a cactus with some lights, a Christmas one I guess
Careful you don’t get too close, you could end up in a mess
Flowers in hanging baskets, fruit on most every tree
Christmas in the desert, is such a pretty sight to see

We’ll gather at the main hall, right on Christmas day
So many grey haired seniors, all-trying to have their say
Who will talk the loudest, who can even hear
We’re celebrating Christmas, my favorite time of year

Premium Member The Doctor Said I'm Suffering From 'Bicycle Face'

I said I ain't been on no bike
He said, 'Well, there it is.'

Premature baldness and popcorn muscles
I told him I got a B in History

He said, 'What a life you're gonna have.'
This is what I'm paying for

Man hugs and comic sans garage dweller
As I lay in bed on my side

With the book open next to my eyeball
Country music in one ear

Chewing three pieces of gum simultaneously
Offering extra strong mints to friends

I am inside a wooden nesting doll
The windscreen is frozen over

I am a dog looking out the driver's window
A constant expression of weariness

He wants to see me again in a month
He asks for a mint as I leave

I ask reception for a shovel to dig to

Premium Member Hello Muse

Oh Muse wake up from your hibernation
I know it is bleak and grey outside
and crystalline snowflakes are falling
but I have writing to do and I need you
I will just give you a gentle slap
hello Muse . . .

The river is frozen over like a mirror
snow drapes all the bare tree branches
and I am dreaming in verses
why are you being so distant and hiding
I will just give you a soft nudge
hello Muse . . .

I know Muse that you usually come unbidden
but I need your help with my bottled up words
so lift your sleepy head and lets write
for I am drowning in swirling verses
you asked for it so here it comes- SLAP
oh, hello Muse . . .

Lets take a deep breath, a pause
I am holding my pen, Muse, just waiting
for the curtain of beauty to open
my mind is flitting like a dizzy moth
oh, do give me a moment, Muse, Muse
hello Muse ?? (are you sleeping, again)

there you are with your hush so soft
like a spiders web- a blanket of words
and the depth of my tears and heart
weep from my pen as blood dripping
Muse, now I am writing free . . .

As Autumn's Breeze

Pumpkins discarded as late autumn cleaves
Burning cherry wood scent floats in the breeze
Landscape quite barren with sparsely clad trees
Magical whirlwinds of colorful leaves

Sharp sting of Jack Frost in the atmosphere
Short sun deprived days fade fast without care
Unlikable cold nights grooming despair
Crystals of frost display winter is here

Ponds frozen over, ice skating begins
Crisp morning air turns to blustery wind
Lashing flakes of harsh snow the heavens send
Dark, dreary clouds as a blizzard sets in

Cars stranded on roads show the aftermath
Schools closed due to weather in the forecast
Winter’s cold fury, a frigid north blast
Dreams of springtime in a steaming hot bath

Premium Member Leaves Fluttering Down

Summer fading and seeing her fate! Leaves fluttering down,
a time of the year to love and hate! Leaves fluttering down.

The trees have now removed their bright gowns in emerald hues,
and I feel sadness at the park gate! Leaves fluttering down.

I will miss all the many rainbow flowers so lovely,
and the sweet birds who will soon migrate! Leaves fluttering down.

All too soon the park pond will be frozen over with ice,
but the good is that I can ice skate! Leaves fluttering down.

There is a beauty in the changing of each new season,
when nature has a plan to create! Leaves fluttering down.

And though I weep the passing of my beloved Summer,
I am bliss with leaves that fascinate! Leaves fluttering down
