Version 1
To my unfaithful beloved lover, my unfaithful spurned lover
I’ve been placed in the heat of love's passion gone
Betrayed since love's first kiss perceiving you were my heart’s desire
Always begging me to come over, yearning to hold my hand
I’m not taking this anymore, I’m the one to blame
From the heavens above, and the earth beneath
My soul is torn in this emotional game
Was it once love or is it now hate?
I am drowning in my tears, I am suffocating in my fears
All of the false hopes and dreams dead and gone
All Melted into ashes to rise up and to be strong
I am seeking for the remedy, the elixir of a new beginning
My mind wants to scream, my voice wants to choke
Pick me up, sunder my heart, I’m living alone in the dark
With each drop that falls from the sky, I’m bleeding away your love
This corpse of decay that once beat your name is setting me free for another love one day
Was it once love? I’m experiencing hate,
I’m drowning in my tears, I’m suffocating in my fears
All of the false hopes and dreams dead and gone
All melted into ashes to rise up and to be strong
I am searching for the ray of light for a new beginning
After being lost in the desert of scorching lies, I fall into a bloody gushing river, a river of life
Washing away the bruises from yesterday
Peeling the vivid masquerade clowns from my face
I see the reflection of a pulchritudinous figure being carved out of stone
I’m swimming in my tears, I’m overcoming my fears
All of the false hopes and dreams dead and gone…
Gentle hands upon rock foundation, the water flows freely
A sanguine drop on the rose petal nurtures a new creation
Feel the warmth. Start moving. Feel, take the breath of life
Out of the ashes from hearts laceration, I’m resurrected in the light
I am swimming in my tears, I am overcoming my fears
All the false hopes and dreams dead and gone
All melted into ashes to rise up and to be strong
A new beginning, crossing the boundary to a new frontier
Form:
As I reflect upon our lives
We thought we had forever
Until the dreaded C word came
With so much worry
With so much pain
We should have taken time away
Before it took your life that day
To laugh and run
Sit in the sun
Just you and I
‘neath clear blue sky
Turning back those hands of time
Cancer would still evolve
For life together cannot stop
Or happiness be put on hold
I am thankful for our good times
And the years we had together
For nothing is forever
That is certain
That is truth
And now to visit times gone by
I do not ask that question ‘Why’
For stored deep down inside my heart
These precious memories
There forever
for my heart and soul to treasure
Never to depart
At sad times
At happy times
I visit and enjoy
That very first kiss
‘twixt this girl
and that boy…

My Valentine!
Let’s have our first date
on St. Valentine’s Day!
Darling! What do you say?
First kiss I do expect
on St. Valentine’s Day.
Sweet Heart! I wish and pray.
Dear! How long can I wait?
On St. Valentine Day,
to propose, no delay.
Dear! you must accept
red roses in array
on St. Valentine’s Day.
Darling! I love you best
Don’t put me in dismay
on St. Valentine Day,
My Dear! Be passionate
bubbling,not inert clay
on St. Valentine Day.
My love! you are perfect.
Be mine and be gay
on St. Valentine Day.

'Best Rhyming Poem 2018' Contest by John Hamilton
Rumbling home on this train,
Can't even imagine if I'll again go through that pain.
Unsure of how fate will allow my life from then on to be,
So I'm just hoping my future won't be as lonely.
Elsewhere, far away,
The sky is blue with fading clouds.
The sun is welcoming my return to those I long left before.
God is reminding me He's with me.
Elsewhere, far away,
I hope that the sky might be the same (for you).
I'll always think about our one morning,
For surely that memory will always heal me.
When I'm feeling blue,
I ask myself why I didn't throw myself over that bridge
Or why the seizures will never put me into an eternal sleep.
Strength in weakness and weakness in strength…
I contemplate my own death,
Yet I even also pleasantly dream of the future…
What doesn't kill me makes me stronger.
You're like a blend of all four of those I've always known.
You were my first kiss,
My first experience of a different kind of bliss.
Likewise all the others in personality, but someone even more to miss.
I may be weird, but thank-you for accepting me wholeheartedly.
Elsewhere, far away, staring outside,
I'm writing my heart and mind out.
I know the life I reside is a blessing with subjective pain
And a brighter future to eventually gain.
A woman can be a fragile thing
What you need to know is they’re like a bee that can sting
In your arms gentle and kind they may feel
What’s inside to be feared is also real
When you have that first kiss
Your mind goes instantly to future bliss
And that’s where the games begin
The moment that intellect kicks in
You think that you are on equal ground
Until those thoughts are proven unsound
For in a contest of wills
She'll give you more than just the chills
Long before the conversation is over you’re worn out
Making you want to scream and shout
Every point made receives a counter punch
It is far better to end it now and have lunch
For women travel in a pack
Are you ready for a group attack
Though your ego will take a blow
It is your manhood that must now show
Once scorned it is better to go into retreat
Revenge is not something to repeat
For in the end you will lose it all
From their graces you shall fall
Better to live another day
Than to end it some other way
So there you have my advice at best
Realizing I say all this in jest
Our sweet first kiss
Was undoubtedly
The genesis of our connection
Where the stars nudged the vault
Of our earthly tropical paradise
The air was fresh and you were proud
And elated, as your body
Trembled slightly. I was strong
And joyful seeing you shiver
And as eloquent as the city's poet
Love is sometimes like a disease
It brings joy and pain. It also ruins lives
One must never, never, never forget
That the first kiss is the apex
Of all erotic or intimate relationships
Where there are occasionally some victims
Like the heart of a newborn baby that beats
That's how it is. Like a wooden clock
The heart normally takes its first steps
This same organ, one day, will stop at the narthex of death
Where silver, gold, and diamonds are worthless
What is essential is to experience happiness.

L’Apogée De Notre Hart
Notre doux premier baiser

There are some things in life
That we never forget
Buried deep down in our soul
Our very first kiss
Our first two wheel bike
The very first cookie we stole
Nothing quite compares
To a lifetime of memories
A treasure trove to cherish forever
Our sixty-five Chevy
With a 350 engine
Feelings never equaled ever
Nostalgic these memories
When the world was new
Our life was just waiting to be lived
Experiencing new things
Exciting new adventures
We've got so much giving to give
My time's still not done
To throw in the towel
Plan to still be around for a while
Got stuff to explore
Lotsa places to see
Still wide-eyed and eager like a child
If a man could drink
with his eyes,
then you are all
the refreshment
I could ever want or need.
Your skin is the color
of my coffee in the morning.
And as I kiss you with each sip.
It goes without saying...
I take my coffee black.
Savoring my second sip,
Caressing the surface
of your softness.
You’re a one of a kind sensation
a refreshing rejuvenation.
For a lunch time lover
you give new meaning
to a midday martini.
I go through my day
wondering,
how can I be so lucky?
to fall in love with
a walking work of art.
It must be my calling
because I'm still falling.
You stay on my mind
you stay on my lips.
You stole my heart
long before this morning’s first kiss.
You are my sweet chocolate escape.
As I come home
To the paradise of your warm embrace.
You’re the love of my life.
And all the happiness
I could ever want or need.
For All My Firsts
Kevin Davis 2024
You gave me my first kiss,
soft as a feather light.
You gave me my first hug,
that made the world feel right.
You dried away my teardrops,
you chased away my fears.
You showed me how to giggle,
and smiled between my tears.
You knew just when I needed
a cuddle or a song.
You taught me to be gentle,
you taught me right from wrong.
You cheered for all my first steps,
you clapped for all my tries.
You helped me find my courage,
and dream up to the skies.
For every “first” I’ve ever had,
from morning until night—
It’s always you, dear Mom,
who made my world so bright.
In a communication session of understanding
A question is asked
Is forgetting. An advisable lesson in life?
A worthy task!
I spoke very quickly hand holding high
In my spirit book it said
You must forget what is behind you
For what was ....... is...... not what is now should do
So forgetting those things
which was a lie grab onto the truth
Good or bad has passed the test of truth
My communicator spoke a word
Why
I spoke gently but clearly and said
Forgetting is required if you are to win a life race
No one looking back will keep up with the pace of the earth
Pressing forth for a prize to run a race
Because there is a happening stage
New things be moving.....not isolate
You move your feet sweetly completely to a new level
This is the key!
This key unlocks many scenes I said
Spirits awaken to a new line of words
New ideas a new play every day
Say what you say and please be quick
say that again! and what is in a name?
Nothing remains the same
My communicator thought awhile
And said
What about your first kiss of raw love expressed in shy joy
What about your first sweet taste of cake the baker baked
What about walking alone when it was a stormy Monday
What about the sweetest phrase you ever heard
The tears you have shed in your quiet place called safety
The first handshake that sealed the deal and for a while your fate
Remember how it feels to remember the things that were?
So why?
I said
The answer revealed itself this is true
As I said from the start what to do
Push press all the way through to the
finish line your grave awaits too!
No one looking back at what was will keep up
For time waits for no one to catch up to love or the bitter cup
Time moves day by day and night by night alright
and it is always theatrical wait that is said what's up!
The curtain is always ready for the play
The stage is always set!
