Requiem

Call me not a child,
Treat me with adult words,
Eyes that scan the essence,
And see the centuries I have lived.
Ancient soul though young flesh,
Half my heart remains in an older existence.

I wish to feel the gentle,
The tenderness that comes with love,
Finger tips soft and feather like.
I yearn to feel the rough,
The firm grip of a lover,
Hands grasping hips in a fury of need.
Lips rubbing together in absence of a kiss.

I need to speak of higher things,
realms that others fear to not believe,
And visions that we both have seen.
Lie with me in clover beds,
Stars sparkling bright above our heads,
Birds swooping to deliver prey to young,
Eyes filled with awe at the world's cruel beauty.

Lie with me in open thought,
Minds roaming over hills and sea,
Connecting to the world.
Releasing raw unadulterated energy,
Through just a simple touch,
Conscious spreading to the sky,
To flit like hummingbirds.

Call me not a child,
For the things I have seen,
The memories I hold within,
Through one life to the next.
Falling, falling, down to the sea,
Bright sky, rolling green,
sharp waves black, crash against the rocks,
Awaiting our meeting of fatality.

Flowers high in weeds,
Grow up to itchy gowns,
And crunch beneath slipper-ed feet.
Corsets pulled tight,
Tight enough that I forget to breathe,
When in the presence of a man.
Blame the corset for my lack of breathe,
Though he steal it from my honeyed lips,
With not even a brushing kiss.
And a wedding band surprised,
Beneath a weeping willow,
With barely family enough to witness the event.

Four wheeled Slow rolling machine,
In comparison to today's technologies,
To ride a get away in sun lit heat.
Black with shinning seats and room for four,
Or even five if they would squeeze.
Two women, a daughter and a son,
A life of running, identity hidden,
Bolstered weapons for protection,
And an unending flow of cash.
Life seemed easy - at least when not being shot at.

So call me not a child,
For I have seen many years,
Felt the touch of lovers hands,
The cool of friends tears,
Felt the crashing waves,
As another life came to an end,
Spoke of many things,
And made otherworldly friends.
Kiss my lips with fierceness,
When I have yet again died,
I fear not the otherworldly,
So tell them not to cry.

A Mothers Grief, Rage and Quest

Rage, despair, grief, devastation and regret, flowing like
hot lava spewing out from a volcano through my veins,
pushing out my red hot blood onto this white leaf;
For suddenly and without any fair warning came,
an enormous black cloud that stationed itself overhead and
obstructed the sun from my first redwood seed in sprout
and with a great fury it released a violent torrent of rain,
drenching it completely, until alas my sapling did drown.

My budding redwood tree, destroyed before its time,
the damage is irrevocable and my sapling is no more.
Like a cannon ball shot from its cannon, fire shoots
from my mouth with all fierceness and in rage I roar….
“Who really is to blame for this unfathomable demise of
my precious sapling, my budding grand redwood tree?
Was it the black cloud with its tools of destruction or
the lack of assiduousness of those with their expertise?”

Yes, regretfully my sapling was not planted by the stream.
As a seed, in ignorance it was sown upon soil rocky and dry;
yet against all odds, my seed sprouted with some foliage,
but its roots did not run deep and so with the specialist I relied
to care and strengthen it so it could withstand the bad elements.
Sadly, they were specialists with an expert eye that could not see,
they were worthless and of no avail, lacking the assiduity needed,
for their eyes, mind and heart were blinded by their own greed.

Rage, despair, grief, devastation and regret, flowing like
hot lava spewing out from a volcano through my veins,
pushing out my red hot blood onto this white leaf.
For the black cloud is now set above me like a fixed stain,
with all might I struggle to escape it’s dreadful grip, but
still it hovers over me obstructing the sun from my days,
releasing a torrent of pain and in the agony of my loss it
drenches me and the answers to my questions are still opaque.
Oh...but take heed all you with your degree, my roots run deep,
I will not drown and like a raging bull I push forward so valiantly
for the lucidity of the answers, lucid as a glass made of crystal;
all for the love of my departed budding grand redwood tree.

Elegy of Divine Cross

I

The bell the Town Courier want to toll
To salute the day of reckoning in Getham City
Is now on the neck of the scary-witty cat her paws like dragon
Saints, Publicans looking on at each other nose
Of whose can prove his vigour to bell the cats?
Lo! Saw earth sweeping away into the abyss
Yes! Her treasures sunken into the ravine
Restlessness wind voicing its bewails
Cursing and mumuring for the evils enacted upon the City

II

The Armageddon Spirit has resurged once again to the City of pleasure
Seen I melted bodies, brokenness on the fields of refinement
Lo! Saw townsfolks running helter shelter for cover
Sought in vain for any place of rest
The phantoms re-awakening in its limberness
Saw I its thunderbolts, hiding away from fierceness of death
The head corn blown away its tarp, causing
Further dent to the fragile macrocosm of the sorry City

III

The people’s spoils being devoured by mass human-like robot caterpillars
In a twinkle of an eye, falls of death have reaped them
Saw I kings, Princes and noble men fell on their knees
Shrouded from calamities that befell them all
Their once happy life becomes bland within a whisker!
The happy faces have lost all mojos and blooms
Unable to elucidiate their misfortune that I my seen
That raging storms from the Eastern coast reaching the City
Epicenter escapade the knowledgeable, is sadistic viewing can’t I fathom

IV
Pale-looking creeping creatures with craggy-winged bodies
Swarmed towards the water shore for survival
Pugnacious in the lonely deep sea
Its rumbling re-awakes the deadly sea animals
Ready to pounced on wander souls, taken away
Their weary souls, waited too long for divination to placate
But lost in the labyrinth of the lonely deeply sea, the water gods
Unknown livid for the peril caused her during their rotten lives

V
So yet and black it’s the sky
Gazed I deeply into the black sky and yet-
The picture seen gave me deepened sorrow
Lonesome and silenced in the midst of
These rotten and malicious bones
Tears flows from the redden eyes
Saw I the once lively, attractive not fortnight ago
Has become a bestialized and plangent City
With fading strength and bleeding heart
Waiting patiently for the breath of life.

Tin Can Sailors

The mighty 3rd to the north did steam,
Chasing a ghost not to be seen

Guard the landing your task assigned,
Quiet the day is to be benign

At dawn the Imperial fleet does appear,
Surprise complete, ranging fire splashes near

Outnumbered and out gunned, duty is clear,
Close the range you must in spite of your fear

Laying smoke, a jagged course you take,
An account of yourselves you will make

Steel your heart and make sure your eye,
For each salvo keeps you alive

Toe-to-toe the battle, you exchange mighty blows,
Triumph impossible, yet into the fray you all go

In perfect rhythm, the mad dance goes on,
As smoke filled gunhouse loads powder and shot

Decks strewn with the dead and dying,
Teams repair to keep the ensign flying

Struck and struck again, yet to point blank you steam,
Hard to port, you cross the “T”

“All guns to fire at the turn, torpedoes away!”
The enemy scatters in disarray

Too late, mortal blows you take
To the deep, no more your enemy to rake

One final salute their captain does render,
For you fought to the death and did not surrender

On this all men do still agree,
These were the finest two hours of Taffy 3

*****************************************
On October 25th, 1944, 3 destroyers and 4 destroyer escorts of Task Force
Taffy 3 engaged a combined force of Imperial Japanese Navy battleships and
cruisers in a 2 hour running gun battle to protect the escort carriers and troop
transports taking part in the Leyte Gulf landings in the Philippines. Two of the
three destroyers and one of the escorts were sunk while sinking three
Japanese heavy cruisers and damaged three more. Due to the fierceness of
the attack, the Japanese fleet retired from the area thinking they had been
attacked by a much larger force. At the outset of the battle, the commanding
officers of these 7 ships, without orders, individually decided to attack and
headed at flank speed to the fight all knowing they would most likely not
survive the day. Almost 1600 did not. In a final act of respect, the commander
of one Japanese cruiser saluted the crew of an American ship that had just
sunk as his ship passed them floating in the water.

Premium Member Beware of Hell

Hell is a place of eternal torture
With restlessness’ angst and despair-puncture
Sealing the faithless in their doomed future
Midst cruel hatred’s defiant gesture.

Hell is a prison of endless darkness
Where misery’s gloom prevails in blackness
Due to sufferings, despair, hopelessness
Leaving the convicts in their guilt’s fierceness.

Hell* is a cell of everlasting torment
Expressing death's wailing every moment
As sorrows, anguish, woe wildly lament
With constant gnashing of teeth engagement.

Hell is a dungeon where there’s no exit
And each one slides toward bottomless pit
Struggling to reach foot stool summit
Yet never to taste freedom’s air a bit.

Hell is lake of fire** where God’s wrath abides
Unreached by His mercy, while His grace hides
There, worms die not, with pleas’ screams at all sides
Along unheard prayers … deserving chides.

Hell awaits everyone who’s a sinner
Bearing “You’re forever condemned” banner
No one can flee from punishment runner
While Satan and cohorts serve cursed dinner.

Hell can be missed by trusting the great Lord
In placing faith in God upon His Word
He vanquished hell’s might with His divine sword
For those who are in Christ in sweet accord.

Hell is indeed closed to the redeemed soul
Assured by the Almighty's loving goal
Granting eternal life**, forever whole
Through Jesus Christ in His great Saviour's role.

*Luke16:23And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments...

**Revelation 20:14 - And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. Revelation 21:8 - But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

***Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

The Beauty of Nature

Author Note: I am not sure this is what you are looking for, I find it difficult to write about
nature without including all the related elements to the theme. If if does not qualify, well, can
you blame a guy for trying?

As I crested the knoll of the hill,
I looked down upon a valley
plush and rich in all shade of
rainbow coloration.

Twisted trees nestled among
trunks straight and true;
give ancient clues
to violent upheaval
from sometime past,
now serene and at peace
with nature.

Grasses displaying varying degree of deep green,
with wide blades of variable length and breadth,
are accented by variegated ferns and vines,
draped majestically around trunks,
threading through tree branches;
does pale in comparison
to the explosion of color
extending to the horizon.

A carpet of wild flowers producing
visual overload
and sensory stimulation of aromas,
indescribable, imprinted deep within the mind,
to be fondly reminisced another day.

Doe with spotted yearling
feast on this delectable bounty,
while a stag, nearby, stands guard;
rabbits contentedly rest
among long stems
supporting broad leaves
to shade and comfort.

In the distant,
a mountain peak
reminds of the harshness
that exists above the level of this valley
to be subjected upon all who enter its
realm of ice, snow, and extreme cold,
yet, in all its fierceness,
a trickle of life sustaining water ebbs
from melting peak,
to meander through the valley
satisfying all inhabitants,
large and small.

A wolf and his mate
stalk the outer reaches of the valley,
beautiful for all their size and strength,
fulfill their role in natures plan,
cause none sustained duress,
help maintain a balance
beneficial to all in this valley of life.

No footprint of man exists
or will ever be found,
he may look upon this valley ,
from this hill,
but cannot enter this realm,
this place enjoyed
by only those who can see,
the beauty of nature
as it was meant to be.

Premium Member Hear Me From Eternal Darkness

Hear my plea… consider truth’s earnestness
Bringing to your ear this factual soundness:
I’m Hell --- a prison of endless darkness
Where misery’s gloom prevails in blackness
Due to sufferings, despair, hopelessness
Leaving the guilty in their sins’ fierceness.

Listen to my voice from this dark juncture
Echoing warning midst urgent posture:
I’m Hell --- a place of eternal torture
With restlessness’ angst and despair-puncture
Sealing the faithless in their doomed future
Midst cruel hatred’s defiant gesture.

Acknowledge my vocal predicament
Loudly clear despite painful sentiment:
I’m Hell --- a cell of everlasting torment
Expressing death's wailing every moment
As sorrows, anguish, woe wildly lament
With constant gnashing of teeth engagement.

Consider my call from this space, unlit
Since radiance of Scriptures does not quit:
I’m Hell --- a dungeon where there’s no exit
And each one slides toward bottomless pit
Struggling to reach foot stool summit
Yet never to taste freedom’s air a bit.

Neglect not my admonition’s love-guides
Which one in his self-righteousness derides:
I’m Hell --- lake of fire* where God’s wrath abides
Unreached by His mercy, while His grace hides
There, worms die not, with pleas’ screams at all sides
Along unheard prayers … deserving chides.

I welcome you in my darkest manner
When you flee from the perfect Pardoner:
I’m Hell ---waiting each one who’s pride-winner
Bearing “You’re forever condemned” banner
Verdict to the claim, “I’m not a sinner”
Rejecting grace midst selfishness’ dinner.

Decide now… from my drowning blackness, flee
Choose life; against darkness’ grip and be free:
I’m Hell *--- with my gruesomeness you can see
Trust Christ the Saviour and you can miss me
Have faith in Him Who died at Calvary
Resurrected to bring you Heaven’s glory.

*Revelation 20:14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

The Dying Light

I am the dying light in the sky,
That makes you wonder if you are real,
Or if i am all that is left of your existence.
And you my darling, are the same to me,
But in this lonely darkness,
I glow and wonder if I exist,
Or if you are all that keeps my light burning.
I breathe happieness from your laughter,
My light comes from the radience of your skin,
I steal my fire from your lips,
And when I feel myself burning out,
I gaze down upon your joy,
And it reignites my essence.
You long to touch me, to hold me,
And wonder if I can make you feel alive,
If I can fill you with heaven.
You do not know that when your fingers,
Sweep across my skyline,
You are filling me instead.
You never believed I could love you,
With all the fierceness of dragons now dead,
You never believed that anyone could love you as I have,
As I have and always will.
I fill your being as you so too fill mine,
And this lonely existence does not seem so sad.
I thrive off of your energy and strength,
My happiness grows from your smile,
My fire burns brighter for you,
And you do not know that you feed my soul.
I will love you till the last star has died,
And the sun is nothing but burning embers,
Ready to be a whisp of smoke,
And I am all thats left in the universe,
To fill you with wonder.
I will love you when your old bones,
Wither and turn to dust,
And ash is all thats left of the mountains,
And cracked clay all thats left of the rivers,
And a Graveyard lies where there was once an ocean.
I will love you beyond that,
And lie in the cosmic circles,
Dreaming of your warm skin,
And how it filled me for eons.
I will love you so much that-
I will search the universe for your atoms,
So I can piece you back together again,
And we can create the art of making love.
You never believed that someone could love you like that,
But you are the light in the world,
That makes me know that I exist,
That I am not just dying embers,
Without you in my arms,
I might never have known I could breathe.
