Daylight is greeted with the horrific stench of food chunks
swimming in stomach acid, dribbling onto bed sheets.
Accompanied with the embarrassment of
brown syrup puddle stains.
Head is pounding
like a hammer - hammering nails into the skull.
Cumbersome movements drag drowsy flesh to the mirror,
as bloodshot eyes with yellow hue, glare in reflection.
Exhausted hands rub dense stubble,
as heavy eye lids struggle to stay open.
A cocktail of coffee and a cold shower
comfort this somber slumber.
Mouthwash and mints help disguise
the fragrance of yesterday's session with Bourbon.
Continuous sips of water, attempt to quench sultry thirst,
but the blandness cannot douse untamed flames.
Especially as days consist of sitting
surrounded by monotonous blank walls,
and staring at cracks on a vase -
silently watching wilted flowers crumble.
Struggling to defeat temptation from fermented demons,
summoned by cravings for that burning sensation,
the tongue cries for mercy.
Infiltrates the mind luring it to
lust for sour liquid passion
that infuses the bloodstreams.
Hands trembling, parched lips quivering -
only golden nectar can ease the pain.
No need for a glass, as bottle is devoured,
with momentary pauses of 'aaahhhhh.'
So begins the daily quest,
to suffocate every sorrow.
To feel numb upon request,
with no care for tomorrow.
Favouring fantasy over reality,
each drop kills the pain.
The bitter sweet taste is a lethal injection,
but the numbness helps to feel perfection.
In a place where nobody notices -
alcoholic symphonies lead to intoxicated sympathy.
To deal with being alone, to forget the world,
to forget the name.
Envious eyes can be a crime,
leading to jealous tendencies.
Hiding secrets can lead to becoming a victim
to a self inflicted demise.
An empty bottle leads to remorse.
Bitter sweet tears roll with shameful giggles.
Now the cracked vase looks perfect with flowers blooming.
Inebriant melodies mock the mind.
Attempting to dance, legs stumble and crash to the ground.
Laying there on the floor - laughing.
Then crying hysterically.
The heart has no desire to be sober,
only to remain intoxicated until death.

NOONRAY IN WINTER
Noonray in your navel
a locus for language light
whale wave wishes
in water songs kisses
as July just jokes along
Winter wonder words waffling
storm crown chakra baffling
cold she stirs potted iced rice
as rain rigorously roars
Noonray holds the dice
On hailstone highway she
instantly marries marigold
instinct with indigo intuition
timing tactical thunderbolts
favouring floods for nutrition
Noonray in silent shiver
shake or hide shelter seek
a game of glum greeting
Winter knows no flotsam
fathomless figure awaiting
Noonray no wee whimpers
or white wisdoms waste
in a wineglass she slithers
six seamless seasonless
sweets simultaneously
… then quivers !

Warm, cornflower blue September skies,
Chase away end of summer
Escorting in the beginning of
Unruffled, cool, wet, autumn
Shortening the days.
Days of exhausting work
From dusk until dawn
Bring a successful abundant harvest
As summer closes.
Touch of living gaze and jump into
An intricate maze of crescendo color,
Flickering in a tangled blaze
Of whispering filigreed leaves.
Mother Nature's natural unspoiled
Watercolor weft tapestry.
The air creeps along
Filled with tickled laughter
Bring shedding leaves down
Onto the ground cover.
Rainy, and sunny filled days
Raise a gentle favouring breeze
Journey under gray and orange skies.
Nature's essence,
Of harmony and rhythm
A soul of perfection beneath
Shadowed shade and sigh
The flow of rapture proceeds in joy.
Children go back to school
On the big yellow bus
Driving the bus driver crazy.

LORD GOD, YOU ARE MY HEART’S PRAISE
Lord God, You are my heart’s Praise,
fixing me virtuously to be upright
Thank You for enabling me to stand fast along Your commandments’ height
So I can please You by Your honourable and glorious light
While showing Your power and might.
Lord God, You are my heart’s Praise,
forgiving me of confessed sins by Your mercy
Thank You for extending to me always Your kindness and clemency
So I can offer my sacrifice unto You with grateful constancy
While coming unto Your altar with prayer-fervency.
Lord God, You are my heart’s Praise,
fueling me to testify about Your compassion
Thank You for empowering me to endure in Your righteous function
So I can work for You with Your granted wisdom’s discretion
While trusting Your established truth-foundation.
Lord God, You are my heart’s Praise,

FAITH IN GOD WHO CREATES IN US RIGHTEOUSNESS
God creates in us righteousness and true holiness
While upholding us with His might’s sturdiness
Toward vanquishing doubts for new-creation’s fullness
So that by faith, we can continue with supplication’s earnestness.
God creates in us righteousness and genuine humility
While keeping us ransomed against sinfulness’ infirmity
Toward enjoying eternal security from hell’s death penalty
So that by faith, we can live for Him according to His Scriptures’ authority.
God creates in us righteousness and virtuous purification
While convicting us to repent with sincere confession-action
Toward pride-breaking from haughtiness’ contamination
So that by faith, we can worship Him against worldliness’ corruption.
God creates in us righteousness and spiritual standard
While protecting us around His divine safeguard
Toward stewardship effectiveness against sliding backward
So that by faith, we can overcome trials, though hard.
God creates in us righteousness and good success
While advising us to submit to Bible-based learning process
Toward learning from His counsel upon His wisdom-braces
So that by faith, we can apply His counsel over earthly knowledge-forces.

THE WISEST CHOICE
The shadow of my face on the yellow-painted wall
Masked my agony brewing in like a burning ball
The reflection of my face in the silvery mirror
Displayed in detail traces of every pain and tear
My shadow or my reflection who is wise?.... if let to judge...
My verdict this moment says shadow wins for its witty smudge
Shadow wisely sieved out all my expressions
Showed my neutral silhouette from all directions
Reflection is foolish enough to not to hide my trails of dried tear
Openly showed my feelings crystal clear to all far and near
Rains receded, came sun-shine, bouts of joy in life entered
Doors opened, happy bells rang, smile on my face returned
Stoic shadow still unchanged masked my happy expressions
Guileless reflection copied perfectly my mirth-filled sensations
I realise at this point my wrong verdict favouring my shadow
For reflection is true victor which hid never my feelings in meadow
Pain or pleasure, reflection showed to all the true and real me
Shadow always masked the way I felt letting none to see
One who eclipses and manipulates your feelings, expressions.......
wise choice is sans second thought to bid adieu to them!
And wisest choice is never leave the one who accepts and
lets you express the real you for they are the real gem!!

midst fears of scarcity
Thank You for Your provisions, filling me against poverty
With Your grace assuring me with Your bounty
To smite battling insecurity and crises-uncertainty.
Lord God, You are my good pursuit-Overtaker
midst folly of worldly shame
Thank You for Your plan, pulling me from destructive game
With Your power extinguishing grievous distress-flame
To conquer captivity of selfishness and slothfulness’ blame.

midst fainting of conviction
Thank You for Your pressing, taking me away from spoiling affliction
With Your healing delivering me against illness’ destruction
To win against sickness and feelings of desperation.

midst frustration of fleshly driving
Thank You for Your preservation, restoring me toward divine thriving
With Your mercy making me recover from worthless striving
To vanquish pride’s salutation that hinders spiritual reviving.

Thank You for Your protection, guarding me from quitting strain

Between assimilability civility reality and triviality
Here Eddy’s senility is merely an eligible technicality
A wink of eccentricity fragility debility futility impossibility risibility
Still under that mighty illusion of invincibility virility and viability
Invisibility’s equivalent to gentility favouring stability and incredulity
Eyes void of deceptibility infallibility predictability divisibility
Eddy is still irresistibly witty with intelligibility bordering geniality
The indelibility of his ability versus disability for agility and flexibility
Gives Eddy eligibility admissibility accessibility feasibility visibility and divisibility
Implicit credibility whimsicality spirituality frivolity and squeezability
Eddy believes there’s no margin for self-pity when you own a pretty itty bitty kitty
