Sisters

My sisters stroked my girlfriends hair
Saying lovely hair
Then both of them went into
a cupboard under the stairs
Like something a la Burton

Sorry my ex-girlfriend

I am ashamed by my country

Where do you hand in your documents to leave the human race

Glad you enjoyed space
Cause everything is melting
Watch you don’t burn your lips
on the earth

Trump I mean really was there nobody could do a half decent Kermit impression

What do you get if you cross chocolate with children
a visit by Prince
and drew a breath

Those things that monitors speed
Pedo
meter

We need someone to invent hope
as we choke boke
a clicking in my throat
with the stroke
of a note
this I have wrote

Hotel Love

Hotel love
I arrived at the uploaded village in the north, which had once been
a working hamlet, until famous people bought property there.
More people followed, as did estate agents the parish became
an in-place with posh cafes and restaurants with French names
where the original inhabitants could not afford to live in what was
left was a postcard idyll and a fake Tudor.
As I was booking in when my ex-girlfriend burst in full of eager talk
she was going to a restaurant where a well know singer would
appear and do as singers do sing.
In the right light and clever make-up, she looked about 37
it happened; I knew she was 54 but was not going to tell.
A young man she called darling carried her leather suitcase.
I was here to visit my daughter, her two noisy children and
her husband, who spoke of investment and paying taxes.
I ate wiener schnitzel, drank a bottle of wine, and served
by a woman dressed in a sexed-up folkloric costume
went to bed; my ex-girlfriend had a room next to mine
made a clamour when she arrived with her young man,
but after a while, things simmered down.
In the morning, when she came down for breakfast, she
as alone, not for her to let a lover see her in the morn
I called her name and asked her to sit with me and drank
coffee, her hands trembled, needed a drink but
I got her to eat a croissant.
Up in my room, drink in hands, she had a moment
of clarity, my life is a mess, she said it is your fault
for getting old and bald; slept in my bed for hours
getting up, going to her room to put on her young face.
I didn’t get to see my daughter and her children
had to drive my exes home before she got into
more trouble.

Lost Love

I engrave your name
upon my heart,
but you amputated it,
it was in our plan
to love no matter what,
but I guess I wasnt it,
you had change of plans,
you up and left again,
and went home to your ex girlfriend,
you left my heart soar,
it cut me hard and deep,
when you walked out the door,
its like I loss apart of me,
boy you oughta feel sorry,
I do regret for loving you,
and this the thanks I get from you,
I wont lash out like a hurricane,
In time I will try to forget you,
you said, no woman nor man
cant come between us two,
but that wasnt true
"so why you fallen out of love"

Parallel Selves, Part Ii

...No longer could they blame it on others,
or chock it all up to society,
their losses, their failings, due to their choices,
a hard truth, and many were not ready.

Some would see what parallel selves had done,
then find a gun, take a handful of pills,
others would set out to remake their lives,
convinced it was all a question of will.

Most of those too would eventually fail,
and join the others in departing this world,
people found loved ones lying in their homes,
deprived forever of their precious pearls.

I myself lost an aunt who had seen
a parallel self was a CEO.
She was a stock clerk, the sight hurt so much
that from this life, by her hand, she did go.

A cousin of mine is, somehow, still alive,
though so depressed he might as well be dead,
after seeing a life with the little boy
his ex-girlfriend in college aborted.

I guess I am one of those people too,
as I struggle with it every day,
versions of me, successful and happy,
writing best-sellers, blazing my own way.

In the end so many people had died
that the technology was seen as bad,
government banned it to stop the bleeding,
but that cat can’t be put back in the bag.

It’s estimated twenty-two percent
of my Earth’s populations is deceased,
nearly two billion, dead by their own hands,
thanks to the ‘wonders’ of technology.

The dyings have slowed, but they still occur,
it proliferates though black-market tech.
Hell, I am breaking those very same laws,
warning you about how our world was wrecked!

But seeing where you are in your research,
I feared that you were running out of time,
and even a small glimpse of the multiverse
is more than enough to destroy your mind.

Don’t do it.

Premium Member Didn'T Know

My car was in the shop so I rode the bus
Sat next to my ex girlfriend without a fuss
Didn't think she would talk to me
But she yakked so my ears wanted to bleed

Didn't know your cat Fluffy died
Didn't know your boyfriends parole was denied
Didn't know your mother is moving in again
Didn't know it hurts to force a grin

Didn't know you lost some weight
Didn't know on a bus there's no escape
Didn't know there's an election soon
Didn't know tonight is a full moon

Didn't know your aunt married number nine
Didn't know your credit card was declined
Didn't know you lost your rhubarb pie recipe
Didn't know you would still talk to me

Didn't know your brother married him
Didn't know you always cheated at gin
Didn't know why I avoid the bus
Didn't know so much about us

The bus stopped and I got off
She wanted my number but I had to cough
She waved bye and yelled call my phone
I said sorry left mine at home

Finally I was walking free
Hailed down a yellow taxi
What did in her did I see
Could she still like me

Didn't know I would see you
Didn't know what I would do
Didn't know I was finally over you
Didn't know but your still so cute

Didn't know I would see you
Didn't know what I would do
Didn't know I was finally over you
Didn't know but your still so cute

Do We Sleep To Dream Or To Forget

Do We Sleep to Dream or to Forget

Do we sleep to dream or to forget is the question I get asked a lot from my clients
Whom I council, for you see I am an unlicensed psychologist but a sarcastic psychologist at that. (Don’t tell anyone is my only disclaimer). Anyway, to answer your question about sleep, I always thought sleeping it was something everyone did like a natural reflex to shut down and detach from all the repetitive bull-crap they experienced throughout their day. I mean come on! Lets face the facts we all need to sleep even if you don’t have a bed to sleep on or in what ever never mind I said that back to the question.
I would say to the best of my knowledge and understanding that’s a common fact that not only do we dream to sleep, ah; umm I mean sleep to dream but we also sleep to forget as in that house party you had when your parents were on vacation.
Or that break up from that psychotic ex-girlfriend who was half stacker and half bipolar activist always coming up with reasons to monitor your every move. Like your work schedule, classmates, on the attendance, mid-terms, final exams and every phone number in the your contacts list in your phone, plus the number of followers and friends you have on ever social media site in existence. Or that time you and your friends got into a nightclub with fake ID’s that were poorly made and ended up getting so drunk that you forgot your own name.
So there you have it folks I would say yes we do sleep to not only dream but to forget. But don’t take my word for it no seriously don’t because you are dreaming and I am just a random voice in your head and you are most likely tripped out somewhere thinking to a licensed therapist but you’re not.

Your hangover will begin in 3,2,1 Wake up!!

Lips

Lips that are provocative, irresistible to the kiss
Lips of an ex wife that nag, cuss and hiss
Lips that quiver at the hot tea before they slurp
Lips of the drunk that proudly burp
Lips, when a girl in a mini bends over, go Ooooh!
Lips that betray you at your wedding by saying “I do”
Lips that aid that tongue that slips
Lips that express your sadness when they pout
Lips that are bitten eventually shout out
Lips that smile
Or grimice from the pain of a pile
Red pimply lips from an ex-girlfriend you just seen
As you shout to her boyfriend “Put her down, believe me you don’t want to know where she’s been.”

Premium Member Samara, My Girl

Just to make sure that there isn't any confusion,
I feel that I must make this public declaration:

Samara is and always will be My Girl.
My Girl is my term of endearment for Samara,
because she's enhanced so much of my world.
I have had many cherished moments with My Girl
that otherwise would have been spent depressed very deeply,
until that day when Samara and I met at a pub called The Levee.
I was there drinking away all my miseries,
when My Girl Samara appeared out of nowhere and saved me.
My Girl has a way of making even the biggest nobody
feel as if they were truly somebody,
and that's what My Girl did for me.
Samara is NOT my girlfriend, ex girlfriend, wife or ex wife,
My Girl is just plain and simply, sincerely and truthfully,
The Best Friend I Have Ever Had In My Life,
who is currently fighting the fight of her life.
