Random Thoughts *1*

For years he has spent countless hour trying to be noticed.
Finding himself where she was, unconsciously.
He would talk his game, lame as it may be,
this was his way of being seen.
In his dreams he had her, had her many times.
Numerous intimate moments, conversations
they'd have each other again.
Then, as abruptly as it began
this figment becomes an imprint embedded forever,
a memory in a vault of disappointments.
Often,
most days he sits in deep thought, wondering
why not him?
What is it other men have that he doesn't?
Is he to confident in himself? Is he to bright
to where he becomes dull?
Overwhelmed in his literary career?
maybe.

Two weeks go by,
he stays away, distancing himself.
She was becoming a distraction.
Wrapped tightly in his own mystic fantasy world,
intrigued by his new circle of friends.
Bound by sex, work, after parties, and sex.
His mind vexed because love always finds a way to escape him.
Finds him, then disappears.
Is he the culprit?
Could his aggressive confidence play a part?
He only yearns for a better, plentiful life.
Who knows the reason.
Maybe love is like a great wine that is out of season.

Many women have tried to tame his beast,
welcome his skeletons.
One came close to success only to break ties after four years
due to mental distress.
Many years have passed
parties,
after parties,
college parties
Parties galore.
Friends along his life journey turn family.
One night stands occur!

There is a place of quiet and stillness.
It's a place of escape and spiritual rest.
It's a place to meditate, muse, and think.
It's a place to recall, renew, and remanence.
It's a place to vacate, relax, and wait.

It's where I deposit my heartaches.
It's where I admit that I am weak.
It's where I knock, search, and seek.
It's where I store my tears and weep.

It's my special place of worship and praise.
It's where the hands of my soul are raised.
It's where the knees of my heart are bowed.
It's where anxieties and fears are not allowed.
It's where war against all that's evil is declared.
It's where...

What an irony!

"It's for the better", I whispered;
And yet I found myself-
Wondering about it-
Over and over again;
"Was it worth it at all?", I sighed in agony;
Through every cry;
Through every silent prayer;

They say,
"Make sure the people you choose will choose you too"
But who else is perfect in this world?
Everyone makes mistakes sometimes-
And learn from them;
And yet, I found myself-
Convincing myself that-
it was just a silly mistake;

They say,
"Right person, wrong timing"
But its just a human thing-
To escape from the cruel reality;

They say,
"Maybe in another life"
What an irony that comprises itself;
Like humans, negotiating their own words-
That they make up things in their heads;

They say,
"Nothing in this world belongs to you"
And yet, I lost them-
As if they belonged to me;
But where would I go now?
Once that felt like home-
Remains a fleeting wish;
And an unfulfilled promise;

They say,
"Loving someone is never a waste"
And yet, I found it utterly stupid-
How a person gets blind in love;

They say,
"If you are a lover, you gotta be a fighter too"
But how can a soldier-
Recklessly worn from human race-
Fight for a soul-
Who is hard to find?

"In the end, it's a war between you and your own self", I concluded;
"Oh, what an irony!", I exclaimed;
Everything lies in the head of a person;
They choose to perceive things;

Life is fragile and yet, beautiful;
And so are human souls

Temporary salient sunny solitary sight

where grievous frostbitten former halcyon salad
days of yore elapsed replaced with mundane

afforded by venturing via imagination
to join deceased family,
where eternal happiness doth never wane.

Scrumptious sight of prairies and grass
       Ardent beaming of flower buds and buzzing bees
         Leafless coils, branches of trees become alive
          Hastening! Arousing everyone's joy and vive
             Everyone happy on cheerful springtime!

             A cotillion trips and chirps of jolly birds
         From some distance, I have started to heard
         Fantastic shun and kisses of pretty butterflies
       Tempting all species of flora and fauna to thrive
        Welcoming, beckoning the heat of summertime!

         First crisp of breeze, creating dew in morning
Canopy of red and orange leaves from branches, enchanting!
      Turning the world into a canvass of nature's brush
  Unnoticeable, such romantic dash making anyone blush
  Revel, embrace the sweet amorous season of autumn!

                 Solid chilling raindrops of snowflakes
                Giving warning: careful during breaks
            Covering branches, bringing icy cold aches
                Yet, skiing an exhilarating cool escape
             Delight in the coolness ambiance of winter!

At dusk, a brilliant western panorama
displayed off our seventh floor balcony.
Fluorescent colors, clouds of fuchsia, amber,
yummy yellow golden glazes across the sky.
So spectacularly spanning sentient space
a show of shows of unearthly grace.
Looming large clouds block the final moments
of light, tumultuous turmoils of my
little life reappear to slant the final view.

In contrast to my current mind of hope lost
for the future, the world closes in as I fell
into the despairing darkness of sleep that night
to awake in my dream to a gala porch party
on our balcony, attending was everyone,
my benefactors - Mark Twain, Martin Luther King,
Albert Einstein, Leonard Cohen, Rudyard Kipling,
Robert Frost, Maya Angelou and Dorothy Parker.
The "usuals" who would, could draw me close
but I'd have none of it, my mood morose.

Sullen, I waded disconsolate through the crowd
to the rail, reached in the basket I'd kept
for the long hemp escape rope, supple as a snake,
knotted it, put the loop around my neck
heart pounding, they gasped, chatter turned to fear.
Then a white dove flew under our canopy
and sat on Kipling's shoulder peacefully posing.
Clumsily confused, I climbed atop the railing
turned to look at the party - troubled, bereft,
speechless, said nothing, then jumped.

Oh the rushed flying feeling enthralling!
Soaring in the wind, all the while falling -
instantly, I was sorry it would all stop.
The dove descending on me caught my gaze
an iconic spiritual symbol that allured.
Through the dove's eyes I saw the party leaning,
a taut rope, a body swinging below.

Startled from dour slumber, back in my bed;
no breath, panting, panicked, tears trickling,
my wife up to hug me, save me from myself.
Shaken, I knew just exactly what to do
quickly to the balcony, opened the rope basket
to find all in place, then I noticed my hands,
palms bleeding, rope burned and raw,
pinned to my nightshirt was a piece of paper,
on it was this poem that I'd never written.

Bleary beyond belief, a surge force welled up,
a dove flies into the dawn sky bursting new light -
the otherness released finally from within.
I felt new found freedom from dream depths -
reborn, awake with renewed hope,
that memorable morning on the seventh floor.

Premium Member Wired To Your Electric

I watch you dance at my demise
for you there's pleasure in my pain
I witness you're only happy
when I'm miserable once again

if I were burning in a pan
you would be turning up the heat
Somehow I am not a person
on my sorrow you wish to eat

I see your eyes as they sparkle
on those cruel lips you have a smile
I'm wired to your electric
you're the one turning up the dial

my only hope is to escape you
or you will hasten my demise
You are unconcerned with the truth
you luxuriate in your lies

I chose the ones who celebrate
who's spirits rise upon my glee
I'm lifted on their good wishes
they only want the best for me

I relegate you to memory
for me it's easier that way
You could have lived in my happy
now your locked in sad yesterday

Invisible Scars of a Dark Existence

Invisible scars
of a darker existence
fearfully hidden
into these wounds
if indescribable pain
invoking death...
are you exchanging
all veritable hope
for eternal condemnation?

Invisible scars
concealed by tears
that hastily erase
the feeling of shame
of a surrendering spirit
imprisoned by guilt...
are you far bolder
than that scary soldier
abandoning his comrades
in the middle of the battle?

Invisible scars
that is the reminder
of a dark existence
unable to escape
the dungeon of despair...
could you exhale the breath
of freedom and run?

If the fixed mindset
of Humankind leans
towards darkness
denying the presence
of a God mightier
than any thunder...
why do we deny His power?
Why do invisible scars
show signs of anguish...
when faith can  make
them disappear?

A Cry the World Chose Not to Hear

When Life became too heavy,
People grew harsher,
their words sharpened into wounds,
their silence burned like fire.

When I finally broke,
and Help knocked on my door,
the world turned away,
as if my pain were an inconvenience,
as if my cry were suspicious.

Faith remained my only friend—
steadfast, unwavering—
while Gossip, Mockery, and Bullying roamed freely,
casting shadows where kindness hid.

Gossip spread like smoke—
fast, choking, impossible to escape.
It whispered lies until my name was stained,
and Truth was forgotten.

Pain knocked softly at every door,
but Silence answered first,
cold and indifferent,
turning away as if I were invisible.

Gossip sat laughing in the corner,
whispering lies in velvet tones.
Cruelty painted stories on the walls,
strokes of shame and doubt.

Judgment stood tall and unbending,
pointing fingers before I spoke.
And when I reached for Help,
Suspicion stepped forward,
demanding proof before kindness moved.

I left my post—not for defeat,
But where the air turned thick with heat.
Whispers of scorn drifted near,
While unseen hands held judgment’s sphere.

I walked away—
not defeated,
but led by Peace,
my only ally that day.

Now, in this small room,
Loneliness curls beside me on the floor.
No bed.
No warmth.

Only the hum of Memory,
singing my mother’s voice:
"Hold on. God is with you."

I prayed.
I sent letters, messages, cries.
But Indifference wore blinders,
and Kindness was nowhere to be found.

Must I parade Suffering before the world,
to prove I’m in pain?
Must I show Compassion
as a luxury meant only for friends?

Still—
I write.
I speak.
I breathe.

Because Hope hasn’t left me.
Because my pen still listens
when people do not.

I am not a scam.
I am not a lie.
I am Human.

I still believe Kindness exists—
quiet, sacred,
a miracle without price,
a light that saves not just moments,
but souls.

Let Kindness remain.
Let Selfishness fade.
Let Humanity rise again,
and cleanse this weary world
with love
and good spirit.

Premium Member BECAUSE OF YOU

BECAUSE OF YOU

Because of you, my nights no longer search for the lost dawns,
I've learned to breathe in the darkest world that doesn't hold you,
where my loneliness pulses, torn open, with your name,
if my shadows have begun to glow from remembering your light —
isn't it enough to drown in you the way the moon drowns in the sea?

Because of you, happiness is no longer a place — it's a mercy,
it falls over me like a sudden rain on a dying desert,
like a whispered prayer that finally breaks the gates of the weeping sky,
if my whole being has become a ritual of searching for you —
let my heart still remember where its own center lies.

Because of you, my heart has completely forgotten the language of this world,
it stopped beating — it's a hollow drum in the rhythm of your breathing,
carrying the scent of a storm I never want to escape,
if every exhale of mine is just another way of calling you back —
isn't it enough to exist only for the beating of your heart?

Maybe He carved me from the dust of stars that burned out through eternity,
but when He lit the fire in my chest, He filled it with your broken pieces,
I am a vessel of clay — and yet I carry a love that won't die inside me,
one that only ignites when you breathe somewhere close to me —
isn't it enough to die a thousand times and be reborn inside you?

Because of you, the ground beneath me has turned to white mist,
I'm no longer a man who walks — I'm vapor drifting against its will,
something weightless, lost between earth and sky, trembling,
held in place only by the silent gravity of your presence —
isn't it enough to disappear completely into the shadow that is you?

Because of you, my scars have turned into windows,
the pain no longer bites — it sings, like a violin in agony,
it's the sublime torment of being emptied inside so that you might be whole,
if my madness is the only thing that's keeping me alive —
isn't it enough to lose my mind just to find your soul?

*Tell me if the first thought belongs to you and the last breath is your name,*
*if my "eternity" is a circle drawn around the place where you stand,*
*then tell me…*
*isn't it enough? isn't it enough?*
*isn't it enough to love you beyond time, beyond bone, beyond the edge of the world?*
