Uprooted

I used to rock my baby
‘Neath an overhanging tree
Which grew right by the river,
Just a block or two from me.

Its leafy boughs provided shade
To my most favorite bench,
A haven in the city
Where a new mom could entrench.

In recent years, those branches
Formed a bower where I’d rest,
To read or write a poem or two,
With breezes that caressed.

For more than thirty years, that tree
Has stood there like a friend.
I never ever thought I’d see
Its life abruptly end.

This morning, though, I passed that spot
And noticed too much sky.
The tree is gone, a fact my brain
Was dying to deny.

It isn’t worth it to protest;
The awful deed is done.
No more will strollers have a place
Of shelter from the sun.

But so much more than summer shade
This neighborhood has lost.
When roots are wrested from the ground,
To me, a line’s been crossed.

Martin Luther King Day

MLK day on every third Monday of January
Remember his sermons daily though you celebrate him annually
Before that balcony where the bullet sent his blood flowing like a stream
He had shared his famous words, "I have a dream."
He was no swindler looking for a benefactor
He was a visionary of a coming judgment by the content of character

Though through life his struggle never eased
He spoke of thankfully saying "If I sneezed."
The times were tense and highly racial
But today MLK's words are revered and held special
By all from all walks of life
To quell America anytime it's threatened with strife

Since then the colour of a man's skin is a little less sinister
But still far from the envisioned end of the baptist minister
The law says "equal" but perceptions linger of the otherwise
Many only suppress their hearts and wear pretence and disguise
The change of the atmosphere is yet to cause a change of hearts
Every verbal ceasefire being followed by some demeaning dart

If the God of Love inspired Dr. King
Disobeying evil law to entrench good without a spring
Then let God's moral standard be our guide
Let the law not give some too much to take in a stride
If God made them all and saw that it was good
Let not their appearance alter your mood

K. Muitherero.

Premium Member Bottomless Depth

Deeper than the Pacific Ocean's Mariana Trench,
Bottomless curls, furls, swirls, and whirlpools of thoughts and feelings;
Thoughts go deeper than the Challenger Deep that does entrench -
Designs and adorns the inner core of the earth's ceilings...!

The depth of the heart is deeper than the deepest depths, vast,
I do not mean the biological heart, that's flesh, weak;
My heart is a poetic, romantic creative art,
That incorporates the universe that does volumes speak...!

Sunda Deep of the Java Trench is very deep as well,
Could anyone measure the true depths of a conscious mind?
Thoughts take pleasure in the central core of Hades to dwell,
Frenzy passion wants, with the deepest of worlds, to be twined...!

Depth of thoughts and feelings and words and verses should prevail,
They should tell the world, each day, many a liberty tale...!!!

Elysian Killing Fields

Your Elysian Killing Fields-
Your soul, my Love,
is the pristine gilded white,
that cascades down from Heaven's summit.
A river that fills me, a dry riverbed,
with your milk and honey.
Your current carrying me along,
to your eternity.
Eternally, flowing along,
your emotional streams,
towards your heart's tributary.
A maelstrom of passion,
pulling me down into your pools,
solitary actions.
In solitary enormity, destiny-adjoining.
You are my clandestine pulse-
that regulates my being,
with sacred verse.
You are the specter in my blood.
The scepter of my throne,
With you I can believe, in anything,
except for being alone.
Anything, everything you do.
Winds around me as a grapevine, entertwining.
The seduction to drink from your cup.
The ambrosial wine, your overflowing,
flowing into me.
Your passionate canvas calls to me,
to sculpt in its delicate flowering.
In hungered heaves,
when your rib cage expands.
Anticipating,
your Dove's-wanting to be freed.
Only, by my hand.
Free as the flame's flare,
the burning, consuming.
As I stare into you,
feeling your Crimson Fires, there.
Feeling as though, stalked prey.
In your Elysian Killing Fields.
Euphoria in sway,
atop your succubant meal.
My fate's threshold, crossed and sealed.
Helpless to your Impish ways.
I remain held, by your captivating allure.
The intoxicating poison of your capture.
Poison of your angelic tainting,
that runs through me,
clouding evermore.
The Conductor of the chemicals within me.
You entrench, your surrounding,
that abounds around me.
The Ballerina of the Little Death.
In sourcery, comes,
seduction's breath-The dance- of the seven veils.
Perpetual, into hunger's ballet,
which permeates, the skin,
burroughing its ethereal entrails.
You're always a puzzle,
a timeless wonder,
always to be.
The first of my needs.
If you turned to be the Devil's Daughter.
I fear he would have me, indeed.
My Love, the other part of me.
With this dream-
I pledge my Love to thee.
Yes, you are the ghost within my wings.
I am a phoenix rising from the sea.
Bring me out into your spring.
where I will drown,
in your farthest reaches.
Life to me, you will endlessly be instrumental in, as the Lords revival brings.
The Elite warrioress from Elysia to
Elate me, inflate me to Life from my dreams.

Life's Overview

Life is a blessing
Filled with outstanding lesson
But not everyone admires its caressing Especially the one that are lessen

Life teaches you not to bow to consolation
Because there is always another chance
To rise more determined to the occasion
As congratulations prepares your romance

Life when it seems vulnerable
There are two S's at the corner
Success or Suicide is admirable
Outcome depends the one you treat as foreigner

Life frightens to bring you nigh
Life freezes and kisses may be cajoled
You must be wrong to be strong on high
You need be bold not to be scold

Life is a puzzle
Rich in unfathomable riddle
Clouded in mysteries
That birthed wonderful memories

Life is the unspeakable truth
If you really want to be you
It is wise to make hay in your youth
And enjoy the change as time flew

Life lies in lies covered by facts
Waiting to be unearth by our acts
Just as the brain is believed to be
You select what you entrench in it

You design you happiness for it to be
And nurture its chance in grace to fit
Life is a roller coaster
Either up or down, be willing to be its toaster

Shackles Will Break

Ten long years in jail for petty theft at a bus stop,
While leaders steal in billions with a wrist-slap.
A man wore the hangman’s noose for armed robbery,
Yet a governor earned honours for a pen robbery.

Citizens bled by taxes to please Bretton Woods,
Loans secured not for growth but to fatten pockets.
When the people protest, police scatter them with contempt,
And soldiers fire bullets to silence their voices.

Black ink scrawls draconian laws on tyrant’s tables,
Threats and punishments stitched to entrench their power.
But such laws befriend only ephemerality,
Before the masses seize the reins of their rulers’ reign.

Mass anger drove Rajapaksa out of Sri Lanka,
Gen Z rose in Nepal against a media ban.
Burkina Faso’s streets toppled Compaoré,
And Egypt’s squares forced Mubarak to resign.

The people’s voice will always drown draconian laws;
Chains that glitter at first soon corrode into rust.
The rulers may feast while the nation starves in silence,
But shackles will break—the storm leaves none untouched.

A Carnal Woman

Carnal woman has sweet smell of fragrance
To create the finite atmosphere of fantasy,
With potent powers and primal ambiance,
Beguiled intruding hearts entrench in ecstasy.

A carnal woman filled with burning stars,
In lust for love adventure walks through life,
What powerful might touches men senses?
The margin of errors is sharper than a knife.

Wildest desires to rule in tempestuous waves,
Taking brave souls on a journey for two,
Through beautiful glades and marshy places,
Demands stopped where slippery flames flew.

And own innocent dreams lost in a moments thrill
The muddy air of flaws transforms into delights,
A bliss that can be more sublime than present will
Trapped in ruin vows by many lonely nights.

A kiss to cover sins for eternity is an exquisite
Genital fire, nothing more than cloudy explosion,
To ruin integrity and scars leave the saddest merit,
Glowing warm in ashes on the floor of compulsion.

Where fascination can see no light in the dark,
Character holding together thighs and magnetism,
Loosen by talk and the blighted spirit scarlet mark,
Nocturnal reincarnation precipitate ecstatic mysticism.

Remain In The Flow

Healing your mind and soul requires personal distance
from a world that does not provide a nutrient of peace
Sit quietly by the waterfall and entrench yourself in it
take the journey of self, allow your thoughts to blossom
beneath God's parapet, lies the resurgence of still life

Healing your body is an aftermath of wholesome assembly
drink from the waters of obsolete and be that empty vessel
that holds space with everything and everyone, ...
Do not move nor speak, just breathe and be immortal
inside this magic hour you will find, the breath of life

Extinguish the embers of your burning fire, take time
to sift through your feelings, allow them to take flight
Permit the dusk to settle and allow the dawn to rise
for they were both created for tomorrows afterglow
heal your mind, soul & body, remain in the flow..
