Premium Member Rob Lowe

Good actor, yet Razzie Award winner, Rob Lowe,
was one of People Magazine’s “Most Beautiful” although
his hair he has dyed since the day
in his twenty-fourth year that he says he went grey!

A prime role was once offered Rob Lowe:
“Doctor McDreamy” on a hit show.
But he took on instead
two lame shows that went dead,
having stupidly let "West Wing" go!

In the 80’s a sex scandal plagued young Rob, yet
an Emmy for "West Wing" this comeback kid would get.
Also, his three-decade marriage has had no end!
This he attributes to marrying his best friend.

will keep their hands from turning all red.

Lasers will light up the science world,
France now has an Atomic bomb too.

Satellites can now track the weather,
the court says ‘Lady Chatterley’s Lover’ okay.
Civil Rights bill passes the senate,
new birth control pills are here to stay.

‘We shall overcome’ is new anthem,

against each other in the same race.
Richard beats his brother and daddy,
which gives racing world a new face.

we are not really sure what they did.
Clarabelle speaks in her final show,
simply voices the words, “Goodbye Kids”.

The world’s moving faster and higher,
technology seems to have no cap.
Back in Wakenda, at 3 years old,
I’m still taking an afternoon nap.

Premium Member Hayden, A Lost Soul

She was a star at a young age, and this was her life
A life that appeared exciting, glamorous but full of strife
A talented actress and singer with a smile to delight
No one really knew her turmoil of being in the limelight

Her voice was another talented gift that surprised many
Her singing as Nashville’s Juliette could have won an Emmy
She was also marine life activist and did more than her part
As She dedicated her time fighting for their rights from her heart

She spoke of experiencing both sexual and domestic abuse
As this led her to experiment with substances and drug use
She seemed to struggle with mental health and depression too
On the outside, she appeared so strong, no one had a clue

Years later she admitted to her struggles and got clean
But her inner demons taunted her and her self-esteem
Neutrogena made her the cover girl of their campaign
Until her post-partum depression then removed with disdain

She had a wonderful daughter, a gift she brought into her life
But had many parenting struggles and was not ready to be a wife
Her career continued to grow and bloom and well as her struggles
She left this earth too young as she succumbed to her troubles

She will always be remembered for, beautiful smile, kind soul and heart
But it’s very sad that at thirty-six her life ended and she had to depart

Premium Member Lets Ask God For Help

Winter turned quickly cold and frosty, and the air was bitter.
Santa had lost a huge sack of goodies off of his packed litter.
Three tiny cherubs Hope, Faith and Love ran to tell this tale grim.
They did not have much luck, for many could not see them.

We need a child! Hope said. Faith and Love agreed.
Children are sometimes more open, their minds more freed.
They whispered in ears up and down the forest that night.
They tried to get someone to understand the dire plight.

At last a girl named Emmy who had a heart of pure gold.
Woke up, instantly understanding the tale the cherubs told.
She called for her unicorn, Lovely Little Flying Blue.
They loaded up the sack and began to seek Santa too.

They almost caught him in Spain, and again in Germany.
But alas, he was fast moving, more agile than most men can be.
He is Santa Claus, after all, so he has magical mystical ways.
Let’s ask God to help us, Emmy said. They all gave the Lord praise.

The Lord heard and helped them catch up to Santa in time.
He was grateful and said they had saved the day, simply sublime!
Emmy gave credit to Hope, Faith, and Love, three angel beings.
To know the rest of the story, you must sleep, which is all freeing.

During your sleep the remainder of the story will kindly reveal.
All of the rest of what happened, in azures and teal.
Just remember that even in the bleak of winter, when all seems lost.
Little Lord Jesus will help you, and there will be no cost.

Premium Member Cher Is My Favorite Artist

Cher, why do I love you? Is it your dancing? Your acting?
Is it your singing? The Sonny and Cher Comedy Hour?
Thirty million viewers a week cannot be wrong.
Gypsy, Tramps and Thieves is one of my all-time favorite songs
But she has to be sung by you to elicit full power.

Cher, you are so beautiful in Bob Mackie’s costumes.
I can close my eyes and see the Indian headdress on you
With your sweet flat belly button showing.
And your all powerful dancing eyes as you made fun of Sonny.

Mask, The Witches of Eastwick and Silkwood are favorites with me
Because you were in there, showing your vulnerabilities, being yourself.
You have won a Grammy, an Emmy and an academy award.
The people love you, and I am one of them. You showed us what a woman can do.

Cher, you are the only artist to have a number one single
On the Billboard charts in six consecutive decades.
Your philanthropic efforts and social activism
Are icing on the cake that is you, Cher.

"If I feel physically,
            as if the top of my head been taken off,
                     I know it's poetry."
                       --Emily Dickenson

          ~~~~~~~***~~~~~~~
No money no honey from this honey
You may look but won’t rub this fine tummy;
That maybe so, but I ain’t no dummy
Shining like gold—don’t you touch this Emmy!
Pay gone, drunk, smoky, come acting thuggy,
Don’t treat me like an Egyptian mummy;
You have nerves to tell me I look yummy
Step back—know that I will not be chummy!
Say what, you will find another bunny?
Git, to your saloon playing gin rummy;
Tonight I’m keeping safe my sweet plumy
Leave—before I pull my New York Jimmy!
Swiftly, before doorknob hit your bunny,
Shuggy—I ain’t got time tonight bummy!
Premium Member Star Trek's Star: Captain Kirk Aka William Shatner
Captain Kirk, an adventurous guy,
flew through galaxies beyond earth’s sky
on an old sci-fi show
which was canceled although
crazy fans would not let Star Trek die!
First for having the Captain Kirk name,
William Shatner achieved certain fame.
Illusions can shatter;
though older and fatter,
Shatner still is a STAR all the same!
* William Shatner earned both a Golden Globe and an Emmy for his quirky
role as Denny Crane and Emmy nominations until the end of the series
Boston Legal. Also he appears on numerous comedy and tv shows, does
cameos, interviews, conventions, commercials, twitter, and book writings
and has a star on both the Hollywood and the Canadian Walk of Fame.
Premium Member Poetic Aspirations
I have penned that I write for the pleasure,
Not the wealth or the fame I might possibly gain,
But in hopes that when somebody reads me,
He'll enjoy and remember my name.
And I may get you yet, "Poet Laureate",
I'll have all the requirements, I'm sure:
I'll have lived;
I'll have loved;
Suffered pain and remorse;
And that one other thing, now, what is it?
Oh, yes,
I'll have various volumes of verses, of course.
In my life I may not have achieved much,
But something tells me, P.L., you're my due,
Though I missed out on Oscar, and Tony, and Emmy,
I have faith in myself,
So that space on the shelf
I'll keep dusted and waiting for you.
Premium Member The Wokies Aka the Emmys Show
Long, long ago in a land that is
now somewhat unhinged!
Was as an award show called,
The Emmiys.
That is now but only with blue
colors  fringed?
The Academy Awards, once was
truly talent~based.
Is now full of cussing, with no
distinguishable grace.
People up for the Emmy Awards....
just give me a break!
Just folks who love CNN or The View
who will partake.
Those who love this country well,
Know it is but a propoganda show
from Woke Hell!
Best, that night you mightily pen!
More than one poem, in honor of
America, as it was then!
Many of us too afraid, to write
about the joy on being American,
now and back then.
The WOKIES want the USA over!
In the ground and our values?
Soaking from WOKIE’S dog,freedom
Destroyer....Rover!
