The bleached bones of man
Lie upon the lifeless sand
Times immortal sound of silence

In the deep hollow of the multitude of silent screams
Walled between the fable and songs of truth
We find ourselves in dreams that manifest
Sheltering the darkness that hides us

Moving us along in our naked light
Illuminating the path to the meaningless
Isolated in our apathy holding our breath
Unfaithful to the emergence of life
Yet double-crossing the delay of death

Hear my words that I might teach you
Plant the vision of those who dared to be
Speak so that I might reach you
Longing to awaken holding your eyes upward
Striking out above the clouds of neon lights

To touch the sky and feel the rain looking for the words
That rise and soar above the echoed roar
Within the narrow streets of indifference

The bleached bones of man
Lie upon the lifeless sand
Times immortal sound of silence

Premium Member Footprints In the Snow

Walking under overcast sky
I trod through drifted snow,
no longer bearing allegiance
to platitudes disguised as wisdom
spun in gingerbread houses of the holy,
an asymmetrically challenged splinter
on a white horizon,
leaving a trail of footprints
on my frozen path.

Behind me lies the ranch house,
shutters closed in rapid eye movement,
dreaming of acres of wheat and barley
gleaming in July's opaque sunlight.
They will not know I've gone,
will assume I'm out walking.
Only as gray dusk settles
on the porcelain landscape
will they wonder where I am.

In my dark coat and cap,
shouldering a pack,
I move past the fence posts
where snow mounds like the litter
of attic antiques reciting memories
in foreign tongues.
One leafless elm bears witness
to my departure, waving
in benign breeze.

Lest my tears freeze I hold them back.
Though my footprints sprint backwards
in the charcoal of sacrosanct earth
I must stay to my gospel:
to the naked eye the flat distance
may only promise glaciers,
but I seek the aurora borealis
hidden in daylight's dim emergence,
where the crocus blooms
in barren existence.

Stars

within the catastrophe awaits a notion
a hook, a thread, an unfurling devotion

forever falling - cascading in time
to always be his and he always mine

sometimes we follow a fading star
find stories in its essence about who we are

about-turn and unravel to expose the substrate
temptation not required for emergence of fate

take a gamble to force the reveal
let go of languor, add tension we can feel

step off the edge and await pure black
find ourselves at the beginning of the very same track

I know him, I've known this but let me dive deeper
uncover the secrets not even known to their keeper

embrace the objective, move ahead of the curve
be inside the slow dance, but simultaneously observe

view backwards, race past predestination
objectively witness moments of true captivation

see from a distance what cognition requires
show me the equation that explains our desires

for we circle and cross and create maps in the sky
bound on this path and I need to know why

there must be wisdom to our blinking pulsation
a purpose that explains all of creation

let me learn of the spark and effervesce in the trail
become one with the meaning as you lift the veil

let me overload and explode into glorious ash
to immerse and burn out in final rapturous flash

S/he reads, with great enthusiasm,
Andrew Cohen’s take on “Catalyzing Emergence.”

“The most challenging aspect of vertical spiritual development is the evolution of our value spheres. Given the right circumstances, it is not difficult to enter higher states of consciousness and in those higher states, to glimpse the exciting possibilities that await us on the other side of the status quo, beyond our predictable and fixed way of perceiving how things are. But it is another matter altogether to dislodge those predictable and rigid perspectives and embrace new and higher values.” (p 185, 2011, “Evolutionary Enlightenment: A New Path to Spiritual Awakening.”

S/he hears:
A challenging aspect of deep ecological development
is this continuing evolution
of our political-economic
(reductively labeled “military-industrial” in Left-brain dominant languages) bicameral spheres of co-arising governance.

Given sufficient rationally ecological comprehension,
it is not difficult to enter deeper states of biological consciousness
and in those co-relational states of multicultural nutrition,
to glimpse sustaining possibilities awaiting us
on tomorrow's more integrity confluent side
of the present divided moment,
beyond our perfectly predictable competitions
of ego v eco monocultural agendas
and our fixed Anthro-centered way of perceiving
how our own nature evolves toward healthy wealth
and/or impoverishing pathology.

But we are
altogether
an Other's co-passioned matter to co-redeem
Earth's predictable and rigid ego/anthro elitist perspectives
and re-join deeper (0)-centric co-intelligent wealth
quickly listening before
higher health/ecotherapeutic values
slowly speak after.

And s/he is glad for such rich compost to fill Earth’s Day,
Catalyzing Co-Emergence.

Cicadadoidea Lindseya
1953 marked emergence,
Of Lindsey Elizabeth,
Along with Cicada Brood X.
Now, 4 cycles later,
The school nurse,
Emerges a "Level 68er".
Harmony a la cicada chorus,
Brood X calls "Home",
Maryland & Indiana,
On iridescent wings they roam,
Singing sans piano.
"Linds" likewise travelled.
Snow to Bay to Perdue,
Any knots she unraveled,
As Amma, Audubon of birds blue.
Loved, loving Minchella,
"George's" wings do tell "yah",
Dreams do come true if you act on "REM".
Memories of cicadas can date "yous",
Stay young, savor a poem "Pina Colada,
Any way you choose,
"You say cicayda, I say cicahda"!

Premium Member Racist Emergence

I used to be prejudiced, I would complain
Cause a black guy hit my twin with a chain
I came off a school bus, black kids took my money
Didn't dare to fight, my cowardice was funny.

Was near a black teen robbing a Walmart
Saw riots on TV, burning buildings torn apart.
I was told some places to avoid after dark
Harlem, South Bronx, and Central Park.

My Dad told me that in his college of leftwing views
The Black studies department to a man hated Jews.
I read Amiri Baraka, his poem structure was good
But he had it in for Jews, that was understood,

He wrote:
We want poems
like fists beating s out of Jocks
or dagger poems
in the slimy bellies of the owner-jews.
Another bad poem cracking/steel knuckles
in a jewlady's mouth.

There was Jesse Jackson, and his "HymieTown"
There was Farrakhan, who wanted Jews down
Farrakhan said:

"Satanic Jews have infected the whole world with poison and deceit"
Said Jews ran sex rings, other things I won't repeat.

There was Candace Owen, paranoid about Jews
But her podcast gets vast numbers of views.

As I said, I was a racist, but notice past tense
The change that came, was not a pretense.
I crashed into a car, thought I'd pay a price
But the black man who owned it, was nicer than nice.

One day I was in a bus, talked with a black man
He had fought for America in Afghanistan
He was told to duck but he knew that was bad advice,
Charged at the foe, he was brave, he was nice.

Once I had a moment of celebrity, that I didn't deserve
But I couldn't tell the truth, didn't have the nerve.
In that time, whites, blacks, and others
Thought I was cool, treated me like brothers.

If you're my friend, I'm your friend too
That's my philosophy, I think its your due
Unfortunately, when some truths about me come known
hearts that were soft harden like stone.

That doesn't mean we shouldn't criticize a group, including mine
An ethnicity, a religion, we all have scoundrel time.
But I think it's a mistake to censor for hate speech
Better to debate, to learn and to teach.

Premium Member My God, Thank You For Bearing Witness Unto Me Your Truth

October 18 Scripture Meditations Based on John 18-19

Key Verse – John 18:37 … Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.

MY GOD, THANK YOU FOR BEARING WITNESS UNTO ME YOUR TRUTH

Thank You for bearing witness unto me Your truth-prominence
To enlighten me about wisdom’s prevalence
Thru Your Word’s teaching insistence
Toward salvation’s security-providence against doubt’s emergence.

Thank You for bearing witness unto me Your truth-assurance
To protect me from ignorance-furtherance
Thru Your precepts’ preaching perseverance
Toward godliness’ work performance against falsity’s endurance.

Thank You for bearing witness unto me Your truth-forces
To perfect me along instructions’ resources
Thru Your statutes’ establishing success
Toward humility’s learning experiences against rebellion curses.

Thank You for bearing witness unto me Your truth-steadfastness
To uphold me with standards’ trustworthiness
Thru Your testimonies’ affirming righteousness
Toward holiness’ fruitful practice against selfish haughtiness.

Thank You for bearing witness unto me Your truth-authority
To guide me around Scriptures’ certainty
Thru Your laws’ controlling sovereignty
Toward submissiveness’ sacrifice against worldliness’ affinity.

Thank You for bearing witness unto me Your truth-light
To brighten me inside fellowship’s delight
Thru Your promises’ radiating sight
Toward stewardship’s faithfulness against backsliding blight.

Thank You for bearing witness unto me Your truth-goal
To direct me atop servanthood’s pole
Thru Your purposes’ transforming role
Toward spirituality’s endeavour-fervency against barrenness-hole.

Premium Member The Edge of Language

On the edge of something
language hadn’t been invented yet
to describe what I was seeing,
the horizon whispered secrets,
color drenched in honey and twilight,
where shadows danced like old friends,
smiles and sighs mingled
in the liquid air.

The sky was a canvas,
not of stars, but of ideas,
shapes that bent and folded
like dreams never quite dreamed,
a tapestry woven with possibility.

I reached out, fingertips grazing
the pulse of something new,
unfurling,
tender like a first breath,
heavy with silence,
swelling with wonder.

Time stretched in soft arcs,
each moment a petal unfurling,
the world a chorus of visions,
where mountains cradled the sun,
and rivers carried laughter
in their swift embrace.

I stood, suspended,
on the cusp of discovery,
heart racing in rhythm
with the melody of the unseen,
the unsaid.

In that space, I was lost
and found,
a witness to the unspoken,
to the edge of language,
waiting to be born.

Premium Member Power Is Personal

So, is this personification
of political systems?
asked the organic ecologist.

Or politicization
of intimately
yet transcendently
secular and sacred
personal economic-nutritional analysis
of health-wealth trends?
asked the macrosystemic economist,
in his rather too long projecting way
of exploring means
and medians
and in-betweens.

And both?
asked the theologian
after listening to each as Other,
DefaultNetworkAssociations (DNA)
betwixt enscriptured lines
of historical metaphonics.

Just because we do not reside together,
sharing identical labels,
need not mean we journey apart.

Just because my neighbor,
my enemy,
those I don't know,
those I fear,
former friends and family who have angered me
believe in a personal God
the Supreme Straight White Father theology
does not mean they,
like I,
can not also feel Earth's climate
like an interpersonal Gaian ecology
of healthy sacred regenerative emergence
into a win/win superlative
rapturous future life together
more healthy than residing degeneratively apart.

We all speak the same emotional language.
Humor and health, good and bad,
speaks and sings and dances and enacts
and dirges and reacts
a universal win/win,
win/lose,
lose/lose bilateral climate language;
eco-political heaven
and hell,
and all that lies more mundanely in-between
killing us climate softly.

Just as adolescent loss
of a lover to suicide
steps into an endless shaming/blaming toxic story
of depression,
ego-repression,
ecosystemic suppression
of positive affect,
of hope for healthy relationship,
of faith in wealthy resonant communication,

So too
it is not theologically
or ecologically
or ego-rationally insane
to fear,
and become angered by
genocide of our entire species
shamed by our own stubborn win/lose dissociation,
climate capital-pigheaded
stiff-necked degeneration,
rabid suicide ideation
through lack of Golden Rule Rapture,
win/win integrity,
theo-eco-ego triumphal integration.
