We yearned for rain, for spring had been so dry.
We got wet one day. Would things get better?
The sun blazed so intensely in the sky.
Only in the park’s pool could we get wetter.
Then came the time of our celebration.
We’d sweltered until Independence Day.
A pelting rain caused no great elation,
for picnics and fireworks that rain did slay!
But rain it did, and it’s been surprising
for rarely has it stopped! Eight days have passed,
and everyone I know is now surmising
we’ll soon have flooding. How long will this last?
We’d prayed for rain to aid in the crops’ growing,
yet the sound of pounding rain keeps going.

Sarcophagus Soul

- - Deplorable Dora - -

Destined to request the best and never get it
Regular ordinary bored her
When temptation came and offered improvement
You can bet she accepted
Barbie bold angel - curvaceous temptress blonde
Sold Dora her magnetism
For the itty bitty price of her one and only soul

With glee she took the opportunity to be pretty
Empty insides didn't matter
Faced places the following day a new alluring lady
Dozens were dazzled by her
Dora had the power to charm, disarm with a wink
Simple smile froze stubborness
Turned reluctance into assurance of every success

Elation gained from gorgeous appearance served
Facile needs realised easily
Bits of bared curves cured problems, were solutions
Glimpses of bouncy cleavage
Given whenever an impediment threatened her way
Lined her path in platinum
Painted her gate with hate repellent saint lipped gold

Enamoured Dora thought her thorough transforming
Had squeezed all potential fault
Wrong's possible not at all in existence any more
When her Grandma sadly passed
She knew her Disney duty was to brighten and shine
Hot white of wet metal Dora
Sauntered into the church in scanty sequin bikini

Took the looks of shock and aghast to be admiration
Stilettoed amble of wayward
Unashamedly clutched casket's edge with teal talons
Glorious Dora suddenly covered
By alter robes, chivalrous cape flown to her shoulders
Poor Dora anointed thought
Super hero status had been granted, instead of desperate

Bliss elation within, so intimate
Felt vividly, as purring ignition
Rapture divine, that never does abate
Plunging us in all time meditation

There is no mistaking the sensation
All nodes in form, to the rhythm gyrate
In stillness we imbibe the transmission
Bliss elation within, so intimate

Love in love for love alone, needs no bait
This mind body, becomes a play station
Ecstasy handed to us on a plate
Felt vividly, as throbbing ignition

Ego recedes, life a celebration
Our childlike innocence, then opens all gates
Our bliss trance thus, in continuation
Rapture divine, that never does abate

Purity of being, with our heart chaste
We dwell in vibrant void of cessation
Thoughts rested, ends all lower mind debates
Plunging us in all time meditation

Know hermit, our soul yearns for ascension
Let us be still, though we can co-create
Until ceases, ego agitation
We abide then, in tranquil calm sedate
Bliss elation

Perfection I should gain; as perfect as the warmth of love,
Affluence, aspiration, and uprightness too should shove;
That substance, that essence, that omnipotent power sway,
That formal and final cause and effect only will stay...!

Could I call it Narvana, the confident negation?
Could I call it ethereal, eternal elation?
Is it one from whom the comely universe came to be?
Is it the source of all that I could see and cannot see...?

Is it Tian, the highest principle of all creation?
Is it causation, collation, and conscious cessation?
Endless energy, crucial truth, yet, indescribable,
Could its foundation and finish be so ascribable...?

Such as Brahma, Vishnu, Shiva, All-embracing Allah,
The Father, Son, and the Spirit... Amen Alleluiah...!
Waheguru and numerous god-men and women, great,
Through them, with them, in them... I'll be in an ecstatic state...!!!

Awake in the moment

For Constance's Contest
Write sixteen beautiful lines
05/13/2025

The moment I cast all indecision
to subsist in peace without suspicion
The moment I shed all premonition
And wake up in truth without persuasion

The moment I find in introspection
A silent blessing on strong foundation
The moment I face realization
And join in light and life’s celebration

The moment I rise in still elation
Above the anguish of life’s commotion
The moment I feel the inspiration
Of true love beyond imagination

The moment I bask in admiration
And meekly kneel in great devotion
The moment I exult in God’s creation
Then my soul awakens to salvation

Premium Member The Lord Is My Strength and My Song - Psalm 118: 8-14

Reason with yourself what's better
taking refuge in the Lord is the best
not even princes are worth trusting
for the Lord alone brings you rest

Nations are all around on every side
in the Lord's name cut them off now
surrounded all around buzzing you
but went out as a fire will bow

In God's name forced them out
the power of the Lord never to fail
being pushed hard nearly falling
but help came taken out of jail

Help comes from the Lord on high
having become your personal salvation
for He is your strength and your song
filled by His spirit in eternal elation

(I have written this for a friend who tested positive to covid19 and for all who share the same suffering and anxiety at this time)

("It is better to take refuge in the Lord
    than to trust in man.
It is better to take refuge in the Lord
    than to trust in princes.
All nations surrounded me;
in the name of the Lord I cut them off!
 They surrounded me, surrounded me on every side;
in the name of the Lord I cut them off!
 They surrounded me like bees;
    they went out like a fire among thorns;
in the name of the Lord I cut them off!
I was pushed hard so that I was falling,
    but the Lord helped me.
The Lord is my strength and my song;
    he has become my salvation.)

Premium Member Compassion - 1

Compassion smiles down
Like stars winking through the cosmos
Lifting spirits and warming hearts
Coloring the soul in a tune of light indigo
Hope whispering across my thoughts
Laughing love through my soul

Compassion lights my heart
Warm and wise, welcoming your thoughts
As they sift through the moments
Gentling my naked emotions
Healing me with a kiss, soft breath
Lingering on my fair skin

Compassion holds my dreams
In the curve of their teasing vibrancy
Echoing a prayer of gentle praise
Soothing my longing for serenity that frees
On the sunshine beams of music
With wings, free as the tendency to believe

Compassion caresses my memory
With moonlight hopes that thrill
Awakening my inner senses, breaking through
Wishes, worries, waste from wild
Faith – faith so alive it heals the hurts
Of a past which reminds you of remorse

Compassion burns like fire
Through the soul who knows
Passion and desire from the depths
Of a joy that brings about true yearning
For kindness that absorbs
Sorrow, angst, discouragement

Compassion thrills the sweet spirit
Of one who believes in the brilliance
Of a sunlight moment expressing itself
With gentleness and carefree
Sentiments that erase all the worst
Shading the thoughts with tenderness

Compassion breaks the promise
Of the one who vows to leave behind
The grief that troubles the mind
And brings mourning to the very soul
With the assurance that there is relief
In the elation that comes alive in tomorrow

Compassion is the breath of love
That breathes hope, faith and inspiration
Through the soul who knows
God is alive and wise and sure
More brilliant than ever before
And He knows… our deepest yearnings
As He pours out blessings across our souls

Malachi 3:10 KJV - Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.

Premium Member The Bluest of Blue

 They say you are blue when you are depressed;
what sort of blue is a depressed blue?
I’ve played so many bluesy Blues
yet, they only make me happy;
I call them bright blues.

Blues of rainbow hues
swirling, curling, twirling in my head;
it’s my favorite color so,
how can I be depressed when I am blue?
Instead I find that my blue is fantasy neon
with shades of creature blue hues.

Blue unicorns fed my imagination as a child;
a pre-teen carnival of blues ran the gamut
of tear-to-elation, sapphire dreams.
Often I would build my bluest schemes
of turquoise and ultramarine.
I found that as an adult, I can’t go wrong with
royal blue velvet; such smoothly soft, ooze blue.

In my downtime, I like to vacation in the
blue tranquility, of an aqua blue sea and
that’s where I find my perfect, harmonic blue bliss.
No, I do not believe that depression is...blue, it is undoubtedly, gray.

Birds Tell Me

First greetings gaily given
Fair days brighten with benevolence
Feathered beacons warble crystal incessance
Favour of lurid lyricists to gladdened ears submitted

Choral phenomenas divulge
Cherished ownership of full freedom
Chasing open hopes, bigger skies speed them
Choices expanded grandly in latitude bold birds hold

Twig feet hop on pavement
Tentative hunters approach tid bits
Thrown among human realm, morsel interest
Tweased piece crumb bomb swallowed is savoured

Message singers send, blatant
Mindfully stay in sweet place of praise
Melancholy has proximity but elation will prevail
Masters of opportunity, gloss winged indignant makes it
