Guess my reputation could be sweeter, but hey-
At least I'm not a skunk!
Backbiting scrounger you say?
I like to call it being environmentally friendly;
No waste when I'm around, I can assure you!
I'm not the coolest looking dude in the bush;
hunchbacked, slitty-eyed and spotty
But those alpha females go crazy for my shaggy back.
And what I lack in charm, I make up for in speed and wit.
You should hear the pack cackle at my jokes!
And my chat-up line works a treat:
'Hey darling, I've got a bone to pick with you!'
Survival in sub-Saharan Africa is no laughing matter
But we all have to let our hair down sometimes!

Pussy cats love to be loved
To feel the warmth of your body
To feel the stroking of your warm hand
If there is such a thing as kitty heaven
It's when they feel your love
Could just as easily be a stranger from the street
As long as they can provide Miss Kitty
With the love she is so desperately looking for
Kind of like us humans, aren't they
We most definitely love to be loved
To feel the warmth of another body
We also call it heaven
Except the bit about a stranger from the street
Now let me think about that a little more
Perhaps I'm a wee bit more selective
And then again, maybe not
Pussy cats love to be loved
And so does this dude!

"Never Would Have Made It"
by: Eric L. Boddie
Do you know when you will die, well, my exact time is never
That is so me and my Homie can always be together
I know, at some point, my body is supposed to become food
But my Spirit will survive because that's my Dude
When I needed a helping hand, He Was My Brother
And if I am in need again, I won't have to look any further
For any needed advice, He Has Been A Father To me
And His Advice Is So Good That It Still Guides my destiny
When I need someone to listen, He Is The Always The Truest Friend
He Is The Only One Who Can Pick you up before your fall begins
One day I was so broke that you couldn't even hear that change rattling sound
But He Is So Good That He Left me money on the ground
I can't remember stomach rumblings, the taste of hunger has rarely reached my mouth
Because Mama introduced me to Him when I was born, He Lived In our house
So if you are ever in need, and my hand is free
I will make you understand that He Still Lives In Me
Because my Soul comes with a price, well, He Already Paid It
I'm just trying to tell you that without Christ, I never would have made it

The password is… password, shhh...
Try to remember if possible,
this sure-fire way of getting through the door;
Entering indeed, as with all lithesome ladies,
and their dithering dogs, after
entreating the big dude at the entrance gate,
with licorice sticks and cauliflower juice on ice,
and leaning over long enough to show off the planets,
those spinning orbs of a mathematical universe,
now turning madly and centrifugally, sucking
out the eyes of the pleading fools,
dressed in rage, and wont to feel the ancient eclipses,
those silent but grunting interludes unseen,
all dressed in satin boredom, all flummoxed
as with clowns, dressed in neon failure,
who now offer smiles and winking winces,
to the sad-eyed pedestrians, and
the red-lipped ladies with the wide-brimmed hats,
out to tease with nylon exposures,
around the bleakly lighted doorways
to dark entrances, without eyes to feel.
You were sitting there with legs crossed,
a cocktail dangling from your frozen fingertips,
like a fainted ballerina in the splitting moonlight.
In front of you, on the table, covered dishes
covered tureens, with surprise taste delights simmering,
shouting out in mute languages of the multitudes:
What is under the lid of this blue dish?
What is beneath the cover of this steaming tureen?
I turned to see other dishes and other culinary settings,
and instead, I saw you among the bon bons
and the flaming surrendering soufflé.
You wore that same translucent skirt with
the lightning stripes and the chiffon protestations,
and as you rose from your chair with howling legs,
there was no hell and brimstone in what I saw.
Then as with a silent hungry leopard,
setting exotic eyes on my stilled soul and quivering body,
you took my hand into yours, as easily as one might,
and with straight-staring certitude, we politely exited
from this quiet pedestrian grille,
this obscure café under the yawning stars,
hidden behind festooning flowers,
draped on hungry trellises,
for the hopelessly outraged.
Technophobe

To any “techie” its a must,
To own the latest hand held device.
But when others are speaking,
Paying attention would be nice.
If we’re in conversation,
And you start texting, I view as rude.
I’m being blown off,
As being some doddering old dude?
By this hand held monster,
Many seem to be inspired.
I’ve been told its being social,
With no face time required.
Many seem to prefer,
Letting their thumbs do the talking.
To a technophobe like myself,
This gadget finds me balking.
With this hand held monster,
“Techies” have become obsessed.
Grabbing it each morning,
Before being fully dressed.
Now, It isn’t that I’ve become,
To old and decrepit to learn.
But its about respect and privacy
That’s causing me to spurn.
Yes, Let's Do it. Election Insanity.
....................
Yes! Let us have all felons vote!
Better yet, let's muddy the "Swamp"
Have known killers run for Congress.
Perhaps, even be our President.
Indeed, the Americans have gone looney.
Must be chugging down really cheap wine.
Or smoking tons of powerful Ganga.
Don't forget the OxyContin...Whooh!
Let's believe those who work are evil.
Pit them against those who will not.
A typical Communist famous card trick,
Played by Commie crooks.
Let's knock over every statue of those who
made America great,
And replace them with un-American ingrates.
Let's replace them with killer rappers, too
Or female singers on TV, who love to
flash their woo-hoos!
And a special garden so inspired,
Dedicated to disgusting race-batters, too?
And a special duo needs one, also
Stormy Daniels and Avenatti, a dude so
falso!
The newest one to Jussie Smolett,
all made in gold.
Hope that idea. Leaves you cold!
Why heck! We took God out of schools.
Then like refards,we complain ,they don't
know the Golden rule.
No, they don't..you removed a basic tool.
And to salute the flag? Oh, no, they won't!
Flags are to be stomped on and for the
Burning?
All this sets my stomach churning.
In recent years, our government wanted
Their spies in churches.
Yes your ministers are evil don't you know?
But into a mosque, the FBI may not go.
Christians are a dangerous breed!
Really? Yes, so say all the druggies high on
speed.
This is my brief peek as what's coming down
the pike.
I find it all dismaying and not at all right.

I freely admit I love classical music,
And please don't think me a snob
If I keep my composure
When I mention composers
As Beethoven, Mozart, Tchaikovsky, and Schumann,
And not Ludie, or Wolfie,
Or Petie, or Bob.
And a symphony simply cannot be enjoyed
At just any old time of the day.
I can't listen to them
Prior to seven p.m.,
And I don't mean to brag, but I couldn't be dragged
To a Wednesday or Saturday matinee
Of a ballet by Bizet or Massenet.
My taste in classical music, you see,
Is eclectic, but not meant to shock.
I choose Strauss for the schmaltz
Of a polka or waltz,
And Chopin is my dude when I crave an etude,
But I do tend to doze in my seat in the loge
Through an opera by Wagner…
Or more Offenbach.
5...4...3...2......1..GO!
Get ready to release yourself from deep waters
Land on high grounds
Thrills surrounding your awed temptations
3...2...1..
You are ready to take your first flight!!!
To a wondrous
Space of wonders
Good morning to a space glimpse!
Luminous happiness sweltering
From a secure, sincere sunshine
Peeking from scarless sun
Careless of the background
Space of wonders
You'll be always remembered
In my photographing memory
Cherished as my own child
Remain mild...control the ship in a sprinkled space
Space of wonders
How could you mutter those
Floating inspirations?
Tripping on every verse
Keeping track of space life
Full of energy and renewal
The commotion from Earth
Has been on the duelist
It's inspired for awhile
Replaced with a remarkable universe
Space of wonders
How could you burn our hearts with threatening passion?
Hugging us in compassion
How could you mutter those
Floating aspirations?
Cherished as my own
favorite memory
Good morning to space life
Devious and uncontrollable
As slick as many criminals
Working as a one big team
To circulate around
The main sequence of trouble
Glisten as the star-filled sky
Along with warm, heartening rain
Good morning...
To you, oh glorious soul!
Your vision shown in space
Rolling in your circular face
Thrilling and tripping unsteadily
With an unstable way of living
Close the scene for a lightyear moment
Feel our diversity
Watch the stars roam about like syrup rubbing against a soft, puffy
pancake
Take your flight, you sunlit fairy
On a cloudless, scarlet sky
Shining as the sun
Swiftly diving down as a surfing dude
Open as the driven waves,
trusting the possible tasks
Put your task aside for now
Save it for leftovers
We are arriving in our zoo-like cage
Suitable for excitement and ominous worries
Welcome royal destiny!
Arriving on the doorstep of your front door
Along with a letter saying:
"Goodbye to midnight bliss!
Good morning to a kiss of gleaming space of wonder!"
If a barber passes a bald guy on the street
There's a look of distain on his face
Sees him walking totally upright on two feet
But clearly not of the human race
If a doctor passes an athlete on a track
There is instant contempt in his eyes
This dude is putting his practice in jeopardy
What if we were all as fit as this guy
A shoe salesman meets a guy in the park
Wearing battered beat up old runners
The salesman has instant dislike for this loser
This down and out no good bummer
If a broker watches a guy blowing his dough
On a big pile of electronic stuff
Which in six months time will be out of date
The money guy cringes and huffs
If a starlet is making an extremely big splash
Stars who've been around for years
Will try to discredit this shining new star
Hoping to send her packing in tears

I love you to bit's with your constant banter
It's like you always have me in fit's of laughter
This child who picks me up when your sad
This little dude who is just wild and mad
He's the little rebble always up to mischeif
The little devil loves giving mum and dad greif
Always ready to pouce on me the little rasscle
Maybe he just thinks I'm a bouncy castle
Clinging to mummy when she's trying to talk
Puzzled,he looks at me,eyes wide like a hawk
His cheeky little face thats kieron, when I arrive
Wanting to play catch or chase but he's only five
Watching him frown, unsure of what to make of you
He picks me up when down, Kieron my little nephew
Through times of sadness,he never seems to anoy
He just brings so much happiness and tears of joy
