You've all heard the phrase “field of vision”
What we see with the naked eye
But some things that are beyond our vision
Have effects on both you and I
Must always try reading between the lines
Where real meanings often hide
People are not always honest and upfront
Sometimes they take you for a ride
Most refrain from hurting other's feelings
But some have a nasty streak
Hidden meanings aren't always that obvious
Don't get fooled by doublespeak
So try getting down to the real meaning
Look past your “field of vision”
It will ultimately save you a big ton of grief
Make it your lifelong mission
You are a soligaster of the highest order, held in pristine favor by your court. A wordsmith after Satan’s own heart.
Champion of Doublespeak, a demonstrative firebrand with a MAGA-phone. An artful dodger, complete with chaotic DOGE.
Delusions more grandiose than Bonaparte, crowned King of Deception you be a celebrated charlatan who follies in the scam.
Hats off to the Misleader of the Free World, ‘Trumping’ reality in monolith farce filled fallacies, fabulously flaunting fake.
Protagonists of propaganda. Promoter of pandemonium. You thrive in ‘Mythomania’ unraveling truths with charismatic flare.
Purveyor of provocation.
Pestilence peddling Prince of Calamity. May you find solace amongst the shameless.
Prowling predator in a starless night.
No one knew when it began.
Have we forgotten all the lies about Vietnam,
the predatory newspeak from Pentagon deception?
Prowling predator in a starless night.
Do we recall a lying president dispensing
cocaine jingoism, driving the war in Iraq,
codifying the surveillance state
complete with GITMO torture?
Prowling predator in a starless night.
While all the eternal secret wars are waged,
no one sees how our language is infiltrated,
no one knows the infection of our tongue.
Overseas drones just cause “collateral damage.”
Everyone is suspect, a “person of interest.”
Prowling predator in a starless night.
No one gets laid off when corporations merely “downsize.”
Cutting vital services won’t matter with “government austerity.”
The “minimum wage” is a living wage while you starve on it.
Mass incarceration isn’t a problem in “correction facilities.”
Immigrant children are not caged in concentration camps.
Cages are not so cruel in “detention centers.”
Prowling predator in a starless night.
Devolving American imperialism reached its crescendo
with its devolving dystopian democracy
giving birth to the criminal president,
the nihilistic tyrant
rubbing salt in our wounds.

Wearing double masks and censorship?
Oh, yes, let us do, please!
I love them with my morning cup of
steaming,jasmine tea.
Countries, alert!
Dye all rivers crimson red.
Allow censorship and
doublespeak to fill your
poltically correct heads.
Silence all, whose dreams
of a free society still prance.
And, as in Wuhan,
abortion will kill children
conceived in love and romance.
Freedom dances on the
sharp razor's edge.
But we refuse to pen or
comment upon on it?
Instead~ we live as mice, in denial.
Shielded by Wuhan's deadly hedge!

How often have we played this game -
Our lover's round of hide-and-seek?
Thus looking to assign the shame ...
When ardor's tides are ebbing, weak.
Sometimes love dies ...
Sans whats or whys.
But should you need to give it name
Or find good use, your doublespeak
For you, I'll take the burning blame
Of sting upon my blushing cheek
Mock anger's brand ...
Your back-of-hand.

Michael Donald Doublespeak
Was a nasty sort of bloke
Streams of contradictory things
Came out as Michael spoke!
From out of one side of his mouth
He'd shower you with praise
Telling folks how wonderful you are
And how he's so amazed!
The other side was opposite
Spread rumours about your past
Lying bout the things you did
An evil unsurpassed!
Hurt that's caused by doublespeak
Can never be repaired
Once those hurtful words are said
They float out on the air!
So don't you be a doublespeak
Be kind to everyone
You never know what evil lurks
When two mouths speak from one!

The elephants and asses are battling again.
To maintain power over the masses.
We, the people, are on the verge of colossal collapse.
These beasts (of a forgotten Eden).
Have ceased working for (we the people).
They've forgotten virtue and oath.
They bleed us dry and parch our throats.
We, the feeble, are far beyond bloated.
With government doublespeak dope.
Handouts galore to pacify the freeloader...
The media slinging race-baiting tropes.
While careening down the slippery slope.
Our forefathers taught us to fish and pray.
We've forgotten how to tie knots and fold our hands.
Now we lie down in the wrong shade of meek.
Awaiting the blade of the mad shearer.
You've all heard the phrase “field of vision”
What we see with the naked eye
But some things that are beyond our vision
Have effects on both you and I

It was sometime during the 1940s George Orwell
wrote the acclaimed novel, Nineteen Eighty-Four,
a book exposing a societal condition of pure hell.
The policy of draconian control has never meant more
than it does now as political doublespeak takes place.
Greedy powermongers are guilty of leading lands to war
and hypocrisy runs rampant in government. It's a disgrace
to the office of Presidency that idiocy has gotten this far.
The nonsense of Tomfoolery is the tragic kind of behavior
by manipulative charlatans, narcissists who are in position
to claim they are uniting the world as peacemakers, saviors
when they should be imprisoned in the annals of Perdition.
Many people fear AI will soon have power to take control
but Trump, Putin and others make AI seem rather docile.
Bullies with followers who think they are gods, these A-holes
create mayhem and chaos, whose assholery is colossal!
Orwell also wrote Animal Farm, about totalitarianism trouble,
a stark warning during a time of global conflict and clashes.
Such turbulence exists inside Trump's disinformation bubble.
He must be stopped before the result is a world left in ashes.
"A horse... My kingdom for a horse," shouted Richard the Third.
He was a Lionhearted king, but Trump and Putin have no soul.
History will regard their transgressions as being cruelly absurd
for nothing good they've done will be worthy to praise or extol.
The Donald supporters were pissed
But Dorian Gray they have kissed!
Measured in fathoms
Their brains’ empty chasms
All hail the chief narcissist
Author's Note: Sunshine Smile's recent post, "Showtime," inspired me to write this. Her poem really speaks to me.
"The Picture of Dorian Gray" is a philosophical novel by Oscar Wilde, first published complete in the July 1890 issue of Lippincott's Monthly Magazine as described in Wikipedia. I urge those who are unfamiliar with the story to check out the plot.
I do understand people's anger. It's unfortunate the rest of us didn't do more to retrain and help the folks between the coasts--like the former coal miners. I really liked Bernie Sanders. Hillary was more a representation of the status quo. I think she lost the election when she called Donald supporters, "deplorables." She didn't get it.
"Make America Great Again," is doublespeak for, "Take advantage of the downtrodden and poor." We all share the same planet and its resources. There will be blowback from what we are doing in this country. No wall or immigration ban will keep us safe from ourselves and what we represent. We have not yet embraced sustainability, and I sincerely doubt the richest cabinet in history will have an intent to help miners. Mine owners are the ones they want to help. Stay tuned world. It is "showtime."
