It was sometime during the 1940s George Orwell wrote the acclaimed novel, Nineteen Eighty-Four, a book exposing a societal condition of pure hell. The policy of draconian control has never meant more than it does now as political doublespeak takes place. Greedy powermongers are guilty of leading lands to war and hypocrisy runs rampant in government. It's a disgrace to the office of Presidency that idiocy has gotten this far. The nonsense of Tomfoolery is the tragic kind of behavior by manipulative charlatans, narcissists who are in position to claim they are uniting the world as peacemakers, saviors when they should be imprisoned in the annals of Perdition. Many people fear AI will soon have power to take control but Trump, Putin and others make AI seem rather docile. Bullies with followers who think they are gods, these A-holes create mayhem and chaos, whose assholery is colossal! Orwell also wrote Animal Farm, about totalitarianism trouble, a stark warning during a time of global conflict and clashes. Such turbulence exists inside Trump's disinformation bubble. He must be stopped before the result is a world left in ashes. "A horse... My kingdom for a horse," shouted Richard the Third. He was a Lionhearted king, but Trump and Putin have no soul. History will regard their transgressions as being cruelly absurd for nothing good they've done will be worthy to praise or extol.

Lin, it certainly seems like we're in an Orwellian novel. The tactics used in 1984 are alive and in use right in front of our eyes--no shortage of misinformation on our telescreens. We're going to see a lot of people suffer and a lot of lives sacrificed for nothing good. I think he would sell the whole country out if he could just obtain a permit to build a tower next to the Kremlin. That way he could consult with his friends and figure out how to get richer by inflicting more pain on innocents.

I’m afraid that’s what happens when fake news and propaganda gets swallowed up by the masses Lin, they become brainwashed just like in 1984, and their leader becomes infallible! America may well be the most powerful country in the world at the moment, just not the most powerful democracy, an excellent exposé and indictment on the madness of man, cheers David

If someone had written a script about what he's done in the last month, it'd be rebuked for being totally unbelievable. It was called The Mad Man and His Mutt. You figure out which is the Mutt, or is it Butt? Thanks for reading this one, David... I'm as flabbergasted and frustrated as any other American who wants the US to be respected again. Not happening any time soon.

Quite frightening times we live in. You know when things have descended into darkness when there is a deliberate attempt to normalise the abhorrent, parade untruth as an acceptable part of politics, to be traded on the altar of power. Desensitisation is all too apparent...keep the pen plugged into a nerve. Dare I say cheers my dear friend.

Definitely a scary time, Paul. I'm not sure what normalising means any longer. His abhorrence gets more bizarre by the day. You made a good point about 'the alter of power.' Trump has already crowned himself King, next he'll want to control the Vatican. Actually, I'm surprised he hasn't done that since he once said God has made him President. Shame so many have become immune to his horrendous ploys. Yes, please dare to say cheers. Positives from friends are always hopeful.

Throw in Kim Jong and you've got the three stooges, what worries me is they've all got their fingers near the red button. God help us. Tom

Pretty much says it all, Lin. If Trump does have any decent advisors, I hope they whisper in his ear (before he fires them) and we see a little backtracking on some of his most recent rhetoric. Terry

Well described! Today’s fact is stranger than fiction, it’s dystopian horror. It’s stunning what is no longer shocking. xomo

It really is, mo. It makes Huxley's book... Brave New World something that needs to become reality so people in all countries can live their lives without fear.

It's deplorable that such people have been put in charge as a leader of a nation. Makes "No one is above the law" a joke when he says he is and gets away with it. A felon twice impeached becomes president. How in the blazes does that makes sense? Oh yes... the (I'll refrain from using a derogatory adjective) people who voted for him. Thanks, Ilene... I appreciate the many times you've written in like manner.
