If you work from nine to five you are losing out on the biggest prize; if you work from nine to five you just don’t know how to roll the dice.
Daytime is busy and the office is filled with misery, traffic is moving in and out and sometimes it makes you want to shout. If you work from nine to five you will develop a mediocre mind and you cannot strike the deal on time.
He has been working on the project for more than a year, sticking to the time that he has to spear, his office is loaded with clients and the waiting room has a line that stretched all the way to the divine.
His goals are not clear and his team is scattered everywhere, he has a big mugs of coffee on his desk and notes piling up to the roof, he just cannot get the work done and is always singing the nine to five song.
If you work from nine to five you will fall behind, those that start early are way ahead of you and those that leave late can buy an extra pair of shoe; they can pay the rent on time and they can make their children shine.
What kind of work habit do you have? Are you happy with your current job? There are plenty rivers to wash in and there is much grass to role in. When the weather is fine you can start working overtime. The river is flowing, the grass is growing and good things are coming your way.
Overtime is the key when you are down on your knees; putting in an extra hour will make you have a healthy supper, you can finish the job on time and you can save a couple dimes; you can give an extra hand to help the starving people on the land; 'overtime is not a burden, it give you more space to work with ease when you need that special peace.
Over time can turn you into champion and it can make you into a better man. Look at all the games, you will discover that the miracles are not the same, the first hour is always rough but overtime always adds to the finishing touch. What you cannot achieve on your regular time, you can do it overtime.
LORD, I PANTOUM
Hold me in your divine arms when it’s time to depart
Show me the light to go through the dark alley of strife,
Lord, I pantoum, my humble words flow from the heart
Give me strength to bear the pangs of tormented life.
Show me the light to go through the dark alley of strife
To reach the tranquil meadow gleaming in ethereal bliss,
Give me the strength to bear the pangs of tormented life
So I shall live in this beautiful world of yours in peace.
To reach the tranquil meadow gleaming in ethereal bliss
You’ll glow in my unguided life like the pole star, I know,
So I shall live in this beautiful world of yours in peace,
Your invisible shadow will escort me wherever I’ll go.
You’ll glow in my unguided life like the pole star, I know,
Help me discover the soul and real meaning of living anew,
Your invisible shadow will escort me wherever I’ll go
Till the end of my journey, don’t leave me I’ll tell you.
Help me discover the soul and real meaning of living anew,
Lord, I pantoum, my humble words flow from the heart,
Till the end of my journey, don’t leave me I’ll tell you
Hold me in your divine arms when it’s time to depart.

In the vast field of beings, some are stars casting kindness,
Somehow born with a mirage that drips mercy of its own accord.
They traverse valleys and deserts, spreading, unwavering, their pure essence,
While others, with kindness held beneath the leaves of the heart, offer it hesitantly.
They are generosity embodied, with palms open towards the sky,
Even when the sky is barren, asking nothing in return.
They do not demand we understand, as they breathe droplets of color into us,
That penetrate the veins of life, turning macadam into a silk road.
They are luminous beacons; in tumultuous times, they are our anchor,
And perhaps we too, are a haven for a moment in this ballet of fate.
Then, the storm passes, and each raises their sails to catch another wind,
New paths on the horizon, while desires twinkle behind like light on the waves.
They are the ones who ignite the light in unknown depths,
Awakening in the soul what it had forgotten it could illuminate:
Hope, joy, the delicate, magical thread of an unreal connection,
Silent proofs that souls can communicate more than the spoken word.
By their side, we find peace, stringing thoughts like beads on a thread,
And the heart, like a placid ocean, forgets to ripple in turmoil.
These people, whom we discover not with eyes, but with our whole being,
Though we try, we cannot forget them, for their imprint has shaped us.
With very few we resonate in the absolute, in perfect harmony,
And those found must be kept, not let them slip away
For they are our solace, the sweet balm of our days,
We are the clay of the same soul and the hearth of the same inner flame.
Forgive me, my love, for I wandered like a lost traveler,
On the enchanted caravel of our lives,
I traveled through blooming fields,
But slipped away like a subtle and enticing melody.
In the garden of your heart, I found shelter and rest,
A haven of tranquility, like stories woven in moonlight,
But I couldn't vigilantly watch over the early buds,
I left, letting them discover their own heights.
Forgive me, my love, for the long and deep nights,
When our dreams intertwined like threads of gold,
On the sky of your life, I unfurled like a celestial traveler,
But disappeared into the timeless mist of silence.
In your eyes, I deciphered unspoken secrets and hidden mysteries,
On your lips, I tasted the essence of eternal love,
But as a pilgrim of infinity, I didn't know how to stay,
To share the heavy and unwavering burden of our existence.
Forgive me, my love, for leaving the labyrinth of your soul,
Leaving your heart to weep in bitter isolation,
But even as a traveler through the twists and turns of your life,
I loved passionately, like a sunrise ablaze in fiery flames.
Now, as a memory, you will carry within you the echo of my pilgrim,
A traveler who sowed seeds of love on the untrodden path,
And perhaps, in another spring, on another day of grace,
You will forgive the traveler who passed through your magical and mysterious world.
Everybody needed something,
and there was always something in the world that needed somebody,
debt is all about connections to affections,
sustenence to stimulus is only half of the formula,
igniting the impetus is provenance of the pursuit,
debt's birth is in the body of temptation,
in the language of lust,
we all find reasons for indebtedness as architects provide strengths for stones,
always a tune to toil for, innumerable impulses to imbibe in the heart's hollows,
needs & wants wants & needs,a crisscrossing of the conscious,
vacillation like breath on candle flame,
on which branch will your bird discover the berry,
what good is satisfying the basics if we are denied exploration of the scenics,
wonderment wrapped in wishes of mocking mortality,
robes of rose petals,
the less we create for ourselves the more we fawn for the fingers of others fantasies,
impatience an instrument for the Devil to revel and drum, strum and hum,
born into a carnival of the careless and criminal
the Devil has a dream and your're his favorite dancer,
you hear in his voice a reflection of yourself and drown in delerium,
a community of stage hands supports your every scream
and silence your shouts for sovereignty,
buy the whole of the basement
but be prepared to be buried there,
a necropolis of creditors and debtors,
expired expressions on the faces of orphans kept alive by water colors
from the pallet of pleasure and perfumes of paradise,
as the spectacle ends the Prince of poverty greets us where dogs bark baldly
and the air is gray with cold,
he grips our hands with a lion's paw and cries coolly -
J.A.B. 2011
We met when we were young,
Yet we never met at all,
A place, a time, a friend,
Yet somehow it didnt bend.
It was always me,
And always wasnt,
It was always you,
And it always wasnt.
A fixture in time,
We just cant place,
An unseen by both,
Sudden secret embrace.
So many thing to uncover,
A whole new world to discover,
But never did we see,
That is was meant to be.
It wrapped us around,
through many years untold,
Pushed and pulled now and again,
Leaving us sometimes in pain.
But then its magic happened,
It slowly let us go,
We never knew what was to come,
But it led us into our sun.
The invisble string in us here,
And it really brings a tear,
For never have I loved another,
As much as I iove you my dear.
Eight years then nearly nine,
Through rain and sunshine,
Strength and weakness,
You make me feel my best.
I asked for something,
In my darkeat time,
God sent all of you,
Now you help my world shine.
In the shadow of reason, a forsaken house can be glimpsed,
An forgotten place, where memories are just pale echoes.
In the pockets of the soul, unachievements linger,
Massive dreams, lacking the spark that could be.
On the field of reason, a freshly-sprung meadow stretches,
And that familiar white fence, vanishes into the void of dreams.
The word "important" gets lost, melts into oblivion,
Nothing from "in reason" leaves traces in the world of revelations.
But when you abandon reason, you unshackle the chains of the impossible,
It, the brother of reason, two faces of the same mythical being.
One spits fire and brimstone, the other lives without hope,
Together, eternally bound, Yin and Yang, in the dance of times.
They were once a purpose, a subtle promise of the possible,
They had a "something", a "maybe", a fine thread of hope,
At the end, only a pale echo of a forsaken dream remains.
Dream of gates opening,
When "impossible" is erased from your restless heart.
In the depths of darkness, in the cry of "no",
In the absurdity of abandoning reason,
There you will find the essence of metamorphosis,
There where the perfect circle of invention was born.
With the black shovel, dig through bone,
Through the skull, touch the core of thought,
Cross the heart, the depths of being.
There, on the fine line between madness and enlightenment,
There is the path, the untrodden road.
Forsake reason, leave behind old dogmas,
Fly on the unbounded wings of freedom,
Show your true nature, unleash your wild spirit.
Let the lights shine, let the scene of life ignite,
DANCE!
In this mystic journey, beyond the bounds of reason,
In this dance of the liberated spirit,
Discover the world born from the abandonment of constraints,
Where genius and madness meet, in a waltz of transcendence.
Perhaps in this world, we are descended from celestial rivers that never cease,
with sweet hope gifted to souls like a divine blessing,
oceans of love and burning desires embrace us with the fire of passion,
beautiful ladies, we thank the gaze that discovers you in all your splendor,
we leap into the hottest flames of love that consume us,
perhaps wonder is our reward for living in a harsh world,
with the soulmate waiting to touch the heart that vibrates with longing,
the deepest seas of sensual pleasures embrace us with passion,
daring to love greatly, to discover life's great treasures,
perhaps in life's brief span, we go beyond mere infatuation,
with deep dreams that bless spirits in need of solace,
offering romantic nights of relief and pleasures born from gathered seeds,
bearing fruit in the spiritual beliefs of the soul seeking happiness,
your questions pulsing with the energy of a lovers' realm,
gifts flow from fountains to souls that inspire minds to understand,
the flirtations of seductive desire ignite the flames of rising lust,
with admiration, you seek to know the mysteries of love in tender reveries,
of all the gold offered by the sun, Sol would be poor beside our love,
for no greater wealth could exist than divine ambrosia,
in this life, as our hearts beat in a radiant rhythm,
we transcend the ordinary with the white warmth of love that envelops us,
our physical plane of existence is uplifted through intimate union,
body and soul, weaving the threads of love into the eternity that awaits us.
This is the time, here below
Days, and months passing with losses
We stayed alert and lie low
Until the deadly virus passes.
Try as best we can,
not to let the agony of self- doubt
Entered our heart all threaten
anxieties we brought.
And hide in a hesitant fight
If the risk remains alive.
time will come to discover light
before death we must strive.
This time, we shall not all die,
some live and declare life is assured
after we grown after we sigh after we cry
for history to fine where we had lived.
In a space between time
We struggled to make ends meet
Living each day on fresh promises
Where the atmosphere was kind
Waiting Room
by Odin Roark
One’s special space
Where chin resting
Upon knees tucked
Arms wrapped tight
To be the ball we wish to be
How many such moments
Harbored our protected thoughts
Those times when
Happiness hung tenuous
Like a spider’s web
Trusting no harm would come
While trying to anchor
Tomorrow’s hope
We’ve all been there
Whether in one’s closet
Bedroom corner
Or storeroom darkness
As child
Adult
Senior
We carry our waiting room
Upon our backs
Held tight in prayerful hands
Often beneath squeezed eyelids
And sometimes
As frozen ice
So vulnerable we feel
So vulnerable
Along the way
The waiting room
Receives anxious news
Information
Results
Decisions
Hopes
Dreams
Fears
Eager bearers of answers
All with passkeys
Remembrance
Brings back painful times
When trying too hard to maintain focus
Moments escape into the void
Some of us arrive at a different moment
That time when perhaps
We neither regret the past
Or fear the future
We unclasp our grip
Lift the head of our often-heavy burden
Spread our arms
And breathe
Often for the first time
And discover that other special space
Acceptance
Accepting discovery as precious
Comes not without pain
For assent to enlightenment
Will always be fraught with rocky passage
But the reaching of summit’s reward
Is without parallel
Forging forever
That life exists as moments-in-waiting
Or moments one allows to live
Regardless the consequence
Ah
The juncture
The moment lived
