Nobody Likes a Know It All Part 2 of 4

Nobody Likes A Know-It-All

(Or ... I Know What I Know)

(Prov. 1: 29* / Prov. 1: 22-33 / John 15: 19 / Matt. 7: 3-6 / Prov. 3: 7 / Prov. 9: 7, 8)

Nobody Likes A Know-It-All
They Either Get On Your Nerves
Or Make You Climb Up The Wall

They Come On Like Squalls
Their Opinions Sprawled
We Shake 'Em Off Like Tattered Shawls
... Nobody Likes A Know-It-All

So, If I Happen ... Across Your River To Row
I Don't Mean To Come Sounding Like An Old Crow
Or Waste Your Time If You Say No ...
But Listen ... I Know What I Know ...

I've Read & Studied & Meditated
Perused & Pondered & Got Educated
In Reason & Rhyme - I've Ruminated
My Thoughts Into Rooms Are Relegated
Raised Questions & Quizzed & Investigated
(Even Made Some Folks Uneasy & Agitated)
but GOD Said That 'That' Knowledge Would Be Hated
(John 7: 7 / John 17: 14 / John 15: 17-20)

So With All Due Respect -- So and So ...
... I Know What I Know

... of Innocence & Intelligence
Ratified Ideas & Reference
Cataloged Diligence & Resilience
Always Bravo'd The Beauty of High Brilliance
In Conventions' & Congregations' Confidence

& Assemblies & Achievements' Evidence
In Citadels of Archives' Residence
In Colleges & Scholars' Licensed Competence
In Trust's of A Counselor's Expert Guidance

and In The Word of GOD's Reverence
With Lessons' Continuance' Vigilance
In Meaning of Life & Purpose & Spirit's Significance
and Carpe' Diem When Possible and Patience ...

So, That Even In Philosophy's Status-Quo ...
... I Know What I Know

... From Countless Hours - In Half A Century of Years
In Conversations From A Constellation of Peers
About Life & Death & Future & Fears
About Love & Passion & Lust & Leers
About Laughter & Joy & Pain & Tears ...

About Mercy & Justice & Truth So Clear
About Fame & Fortune & What's More Dear
About War & Peace As World Totters & Veers
About Freedom As Kingdom of GOD Draws Near
About Why We Cheer & While Others Jeer...

(Part 2 of "Nobody Likes A Know-It-All" is the serious side of addressing "Knowledge ... ... So, this free verse is really about Godly Knowledge, Biblical Learning and Spiritual Intelligence ... (first) ... and then about education and different areas of study in an academic way. So when reading this write - that should be kept in mind, to get the most out of it ... MoonBee

Spiritual Strategies For Trump Times

We're in the midst of trump times and
We need to understand
That that individual in the White House
Is not a righteous man
He's all about division, discord
And disarray
And when a domestic terror act occurred
He did not have much to say
White nationalists staged a rally to keep
A confederate statue in place
No regard and no respect for any other
Ethnicity nor any other race
A group of anti- protesters were in a
Peaceful march as well
Until a nationalist in a car mowed them down
Causing utter hell

We're in trump times the country's
Moral barometer has done a reverse
We're in trump times trust and believe
It can only get worse
Threats against the North Koreans
Who are launching potential weapons to kill
Instead of using diplomacy
Trump wants to assert his will
On the precipice of what could
Possibly become world war 3
What should we do?
What are our spiritual strategies?

One, we would do well to accept
The invitation from Christ our Savior
To worship, witness and walk
With a Christlike behavior
We need God to remind us
That we are not alone
And never ever forget that its He
Who sits on the throne
God is in charge He's still in control
Hopefully He'll work on presidents
Trump and Kim Jong Un souls

Two, we need gather together in
Remembrance of He
Jesus the Christ who died
To give us the victory
To eat of the bread and drink of the wine
Remnants of His body and blood
To examine our own hearts
And acknowledge His unconditional love
To stay in touch with reality
To remember our past and our pain
Of the slavery that is still on American
A badge of shame

Let us never forget
what has come to pass
Let us never forget Jesus
and the love for us He has
For when we remember we reestablish
All truths and how they came to be
And no tweet will erase nor change
The true reality

Trump talks about fake news
But free press will prevail
As only free press stops a nation from
Becoming a dictatorship from hell

Spiritual strategies for trump times
We need to realize
We need to stay united
And keep our eyes on the prize
Let us never forget the blood
That was shredded and the sacrifice
Let us never forget that for our sins
Jesus gave His life
Let us look past skin color
And ignore race
Let us remember God
Who gave us His infinite
Mercy and Grace

The 5 Steps To Making It Great In 2008

we have a sense of urgency about time that tends to spurs us on
yet we are too afraid to go from familiar to unfamiliar horizons
we need to make positive use of whatever time that remains
to making 2008 great there are 5 steps we should ascertain
but how we use our time is not just up to us
for our time on earth is a gift from the God we all love and trust
yet time is so important and we need to understand
that time waits for no one so go forth with your plans
to make 2008 great these are the 5 steps you should follow
to making 2008 great start on them beginning tomorrow

step one is of servant hood, to be submissive to God's plans
to deny yourself, take up the cross and heed His commands
yet man's innate desire is always to be the center of attention
you need to be like the woman with the alabaster jar
whose name in the Scriptures is never even mentioned

step two is to use the talent and gift that God has specifically given you
to realize and utilize that special gift that makes you you
it matters not the talent nor the gift that you have received
it was an anointing from God so just go out and with it achieve
to empower, to encourage and to enrich God's glory
use your gift and talent and contribute to His story

step three is to use your failures as points towards growth and not surrender
learn from your mistakes and don't allow disappointments to hinder
the only thing that one learns from success is that it can be done
but failures are the things that will spur you to carry on until the battle is won

step four is make connections with others beyond your comfort zone
to reach out to the unfamiliar and realize you're not in this all alone
there are people in this world whom you'll perceive as being unlikely to help
but the Lord God may do the unexpected in order to help you help yourself
He'll put people in your path who you'll think you can't possibly need
but God's wisdom goes beyond human understanding
and He knows what you need to succeed

step five is simply to give thanks to the Lord our God
celebrate, commemorate and appreciate Him with a joyful heart
praise Him, bless Him, honor Him and give Him all the glory
thank Him for everything you have and for His continuous story
these are the 5 steps in life that we all need to take
in order to make the time we have left and the year 2008 great

Things that go through my brain on a Thursday morning

In the depths of my heart, a shadow dwells, Regret's icy grip, a tale it tells. Missed opportunities, choices made, Unraveled dreams, a path that swayed. Like a phantom, it haunts my waking hours, Whispers of "what ifs" in my inner towers. A constant ache, a gnawing pain, Regret's cruel hold, an endless chain. I yearn for moments lost, chances slipped, Paths untraveled, choices I've gripped. The weight of could-have-beens crushes low, A burden of remorse, a heavy blow. In the stillness of night, it echoes deep, Regret's symphony, a song I weep. Each note a lament, a mournful cry, Tears of sorrow, a soul's goodbye. Oh, internal regret, your sting is sharp, A wound that festers, leaving an endless scar. But within this darkness, a flicker of light, A lesson learned, a chance to set things right. For in owning my remorse, I find my strength, To learn, to grow, to make amends. Regret's embrace may linger still, But I will not let it rob me of my will. I will embrace the present, seize the day, Create new memories, come what may. And though the past may cast its shadows near, I will rise above regret, banish fear. For in the journey of life, both joy and pain, Regret can be a teacher, a guide to gain. It whispers lessons, helps me understand, To live with purpose, to make a stand. So, I will carry regret's weight with grace, Learn from my mistakes, embrace its embrace. For in the depths of sorrow, strength is found, A resilient spirit, forever bound In the depths of my soul, a shadow dwells, A constant companion, a haunting spell. A tapestry of sorrow, woven with care, Embroidered with moments that lead to despair. I search for solace, but it eludes my grasp, As memories torment, holding me in their clasp. Haunted by thoughts of what could have been, I'm dragged down by regret, an unforgiving sin. But amidst the darkness, a flicker of light, A glimmer of hope in the depths of the night. Acceptance's embrace, a soothing balm, A whisper of healing, a shattered soul to calm. Forgiveness, a gentle salve on my wounds, A bridge to the future, where healing resounds. No longer will I be held captive by the past, Regret's shadow, its power will not last. From the ashes of regret, a phoenix shall rise, With newfound strength, I'll face the open skies. No longer will I dwell in sorrow's embrace, but never trust my smiling face.

Electorate On Tenterhooks Until

Electorate on tenterhooks until...
outcome of 2020 presidential election announced

Polling places slated to open seven o'clock
in the morning November third two thousand twenty
heightened tensions will strain patience
to breaking point concerning
extreme anticipation common joe experiences
(biden his/her time)
regarding which candidate trumpeted
as de facto commander in chief of United States.

Carpe diem the echoing refrain
heard and seen dispensed and broadcast
across telecommunications medium
cuz the very survival of democracy at stake
ruthless political machinations employed
to seize inalienable codified rights
couched within Declaration of Independence

and Constitution, written ethos, dogma, credo...
compiling aggregate of fundamental principles
or established precedents that constitute
legal basis of a polity, organisation
or other type of entity and commonly
determine how entity governed.

Understanding North American government
inextricably found yours truly agape
when chance occurrence brought hefty tome
into self assigned reading material
which storied author David McCullough
wrote engrossing John Adams biography
I read aloud with measured deliberateness
clearly enunciating each syllable of every word

despite runaway enthusiasm
to acquire historical premise
whereby original thirteen colonies
teetered on brink of immediate collapse
soon after majority representatives
swore fealty among themselves
despite ragtag soldiers
easily overwhelmed courtesy
fighting force of British Empire.

As a staunch affiliate of democratic party,
one veritable common joe
just biding his time,
I trumpet how crass
deleterious, egregious, fractious...
usurpation of power
jackknifed, kickstarted and linked

endemic flood (gushing) hatred
malicious, nefarious, opprobrious putrescence
laid down at the feet
upholding seventy five inches
of corpulent doughy flesh
regarding one conceited, haughty, and obstreperous
politician orchestrating machiavellian leitmotif.

Mark my words, that bull headed incumbent
will clamor, foment, incite, loose chaos
if Democratic candidate garners more votes
at the ballot box nsync with absentee citizens
casting their lot with the worser of two evils
otherwise put head between legs,
and kiss tuckus goodbye,
cuz hell in a handbasket looms on horizon.

Wake! and see the extent to which you’re still enslaved
enslaved by your own kind who hanker after conditioning platitudes
the clubby comfort of secretly oath-taking power cliques
                                              Wake! O! Asia! Wake!

Remember! Remember Haidar Ali his son Tipu and Akbar
remember Sivaji and Chandra Bose and Kattapomman and Asoka
remember O! remember the one and only Mahatma
                                               Wake India! O! Wake!

Wake! India! Wake! and see how your destitute generations are shunned aside
in infested villages sans drains sans potable water sans hope
see how they’re bound in mantric incantating castiron caste strictures
                                                Wake! O! India! Wake!

No where else in the world are humans so in-humane-ly stratified
what proof have the Brahmins to issue forth from Brahma’s head
who proclaimed them the chosen elite on top of the Indian pile of castes
                                                 Wake! O! India! Wake!

Wake! and see how your northern brethren have cast off their spiritual shackles
even if they had abjured the path of the just to yoke their bodies
yet for each child a vaccine a soja-filled stomach to keep slavers away
                                                   Wake! O! India! Wake!

Wake! O! India! Wake before it’s too late!
for your own kind are about to enslave you once all over again
and the old master needs hardly despatch troops to proclaim his divine law
                                                    Wake! India! Wake!

Wake and watch how your elite ape and espouse the ways of the old master
how for an air-ticket a stipend per diem they would do you in without compunction
how for some lions memberships in select clubs they’d betray your own true kind
                                                     Wake! O! Asia! Wake!

Wake! O! Indonesia! Wake and see how the G.N.P. in Singapore
far outweighs that of the former papal Portugal now
how the four fiery Eastern Dragons no more parade in papier maché garb
                                                      Wake! Indonesia! Wake!

The Happy Hour

have you ever heard of the happy hour where people mingle, eat and dine
the happy hour when people congregate to relax and from their work unwind
a time to replenish, to refresh and restore one's troubled mind
yet it's only a temporary stop gap in the overall scheme of time
but the happy hour in heaven is eternal and ultimate
a time to reconnect with the Holy Spirit
it's more than a quick fix, it's the time for salvation
heaven's happy hour the place for spiritual libation

Jesus spoke some parables about how to save sinners
finding those whom the Lord God wants to serve His dinner
the daily bread, the good news which is full of godly power
what one needs to celebrate heaven's happy hour

when one sheep strays and you go off to find it and return it to the flock
that's when Father God and the angels in heaven will be rocking around the clock
when a women loses a precious coin and diligently cleans her house until it's retrieved
that's the type of dedication and devotion that God wants us to achieve

do you realize that most sinners are not in church but are out in the world?
and it doesn't make sense to offer salvation to those who already know the word
yet the Scribes and Pharisees accused Jesus Christ of hanging out with sinful men
for they could never understand His true purpose was to give instruction to them
for it's not about the sermons, the rituals not the circumcision
it's knowing that your reason for being is to practice the Great Commission
and when people have lost their way and have a desire to be found
don't be hypocrites like the Pharisees and on them look down
just listen to Jesus' parables and discern the wisdom within
open your ears and eyes to His teachings and preaching
He came to tell us what it is of us the God desires
He came to show us what it is of us the God requires
He came to offer salvation even if it would only be to one lost sheep
He came to give us the good news, a treasure for us to keep

heaven's happy hour a time to celebrate salvation
heaven's happy hour to drink of spiritual libation
remember God gave each of us His express permission
to evangelize the gospel as part of the Great Commission
so don't be condescending if you're already a member of the family
for your purpose as a child of Christ is to increase exponentially

That

That is Truth in its truest form, when that which touches that part of your soul that truly understands the love that is sincere, that is patient, that is kind, that is gentle, that is compassionate, that is understanding, that is forgiving, that is respectful, that is submissive to love, that is in complete Devotion to each other, that places God first in the love of the relationship, that is the Truth and purpose for Loves Unity that the beauty of life is created.
That is also the Truest sadness a heart can endure, that understanding, that overwhelming sadness of abortion. That's sadness truly deepens when that understanding of why life, that is the soul within each person should be loved and cherished.
That is why I will talk about the Truth that has every answer. That book, that beautiful Bible, that holds that saving message of Grace, that is the son of God, that Messiah of that Jewish people, that Lord of lords and King of Kings. That is the Truth that will explain why life should never be thrown away and cherished always.
That is why I wrote the book called Psalms of Humidity. That book is at Amazon, Barnes & Noble and that place known as iTunes.
That is why I wrote that document The Scroll of Humidity, that is located at humidityblog.wordpress.com
That is why I ask for everyone to help me restore the Family. That is why I have the courage to tell everyone that if you accept the Truth, that message of Love and Hope, that message of Grace and a Piece that will restore the Love in your heart knowing that you are forgiven and that nothing is ever lost, that everything will be restored. In that knowledge of the Truth, that is Jesus Christ. Tell me anyone what do you think about that? Will you share that? Will you like that? Will you deny that because that will make people judge you for accepting the knowledge, that is the Truth of Jesus Christ? Please share Truth so that each heart has the chance to be Forgiven and Loved by that savior who is truth. If I have offended you please forgive me for that, I never meant that, repent and turn to Jesus and he will take away the pain of that.
I just hope that those who have felt this deep pain stand-UP and speak of that pain, please have the courage to stand for Truth of Grace and a precious life will be saved by that.

Whispers

The refrain was so soft I almost didn’t hear,
When the essence of WOMAN sighed in my ear.
“It’s safe to go back” were the words that were said,
And they roiled in my head while I lay in my bed.
So I gave my mind over to this quiet assurance,
Passing backward through drapes of practiced endurance.

                                                         It’s safe to go back.
                                                         It’s safe to go back.

Silently slipping through descendant days,
The 90’s and 80’s, a booze soaked haze.
The 70’s and 60’s, with no place of my own,
Finally the 50’s and my grandmothers home.
From a place so unique, empowered, serene,
I cast a new sight on the places I’d been.

                                                         It’s safe to go back.
                                                         It’s safe to go back.

I saw the men strike out in unrighteous rage;
And others doing things, so wrong at my age.
There is my mother with her alcohol breath,
With a pillow on my head, romancing my death.
Stern faced women in stiff, white wimples,
Me in plaid, burgeoning breasts, and pimples.

                                                        It’s safe to go back.
                                                        It’s safe to go back.

There’s my grandmother, with switches and belts.
There are my legs, all bruises and welts.
There’s Cousin Nancy, who thought I was grand,
And Grampa, the one who could stay Grandma's hand.

                                                       It’s safe to go…
                                                       It’s safe to go …

At last to a time, so long ago,
Before shame and guilt and the pain I would know,
A time I believed in a god in the sky,
And Mary Martin convinced me - I really could fly!

                                                       It’s safe to…
                                                       It’s safe to…

I lay there and saw this and breathed it all in.
I melded my past and purged away sin.
Love rushed in during a quiet, night hour,
And Acceptance took away all of fear's power.

                                                      It’s safe.
                                                      It’s safe.
