Didn't know the man,
a man she called my father.
In the hot, humid summer,
sounds of Cicada and smell of Pines,
polyester miniskirts, the summer of sixty-nine.
Didn't know the man,
a man she called my father.
They came from seas of wheat,
great fields of green,
two young lovers from the heartland.
Didn't know the man,
a man she called my father.
This man known only by the Kodak.
This man, with his helmet and jet,
and this little blond boy who had his hero.
Didn't know the man,
a man she called my father.
A little boys embrace never known,
a little boys love never sown,
and his daddy's heart ache that kept him away.
Didn't know the man,
a man she called my father.
Pensive moments, tears, crushing pain,
and anger vented it surely was,
for why else would a daddy leave his little blond boy.
I'll never know or understand.
It remains sealed in the heart of the man I didnt know.
A man she called my father.
Ever since I was little you've been trying to fix me.. forcing the puzzle pieces to fit, only to break me more n more.
Building me up, just to tear me down over n over again... I didn't use to be insecure until you repeatedly told me I was over weight at age 13, and still do to this day.
I didn't use to hate myself until you screamed at me every day even over Dad's hospital bed..
I didn't use to use to have depression until you told me multiple times a day how it's my fault the family is broken..
I didn't use to have anxiety until you told me my depression was just in my head...
"Happiness is a choice" was your favorite.
The Cushion and the Chair-A letter to God By Laura Bonneville Delacroix
What is it God that you see in me
What is it God that you want me to be
Why is it God that you believe in me
Sometimes the heartache is so great I just want to feel free
The anguish and sorrow that consume my soul
I keep praying to you to fix it all
I wear my heart upon my sleeve
The hurt so abundant I look to you to magically relieve
Why do those I love hurt so bad
this is what makes me feel so sad
So I look up to you and I yell I AM MAD
Mad at you for not fixing it all
Mad at myself that I cannot be brave and stand tall
I look up to you and ask "what is it you wanted"
while those around me continue to be haunted
Foolishly I blamed it all on you
Knowing with your great power you could fix it all too
Please Lord tell me
Tell me what to do
I am putting all my faith in you
You are the Father, the Son, the Holy Ghost
You are the one I look to the most
I look to you to heal my heart
I thought if you didnt I would fall apart
I searched real hard to find myself
and there I sat high upon a shelf
I hide up here so no one can see
I hide inside myself waiting for God to fix me
And then it comes
It was always there
I look down and I see a chair
A chair so strong,so mighty and tall
A chair so strong to be used by all
"Just remember" God says "even I need help
so reach out your foot and take that first step
Reach down my child Reach really in depth
Not you or I can make everything better
sometimes we can just offer them a simple warm sweater
A temporary fix to those who might be cold
Now it is time for them to be bold
"You see my child I am your chair
to help maybe others to reach you up there
So my child just understand
sometimes we all need a helping hand
You are just one person
you cant take away their pain
Just be the cushion upon the chair
Let them know you and I will always be there
To give them love and comfort to ease their pain
Let those around us that hurt know we will always remain
I am the Cushion and God is the Chair
To help our loved ones from their despair....
I interrupt him and he chokes on the words
I don wanna hear your sugar coated words
To me your kind is more vile than crack
Talk of crack its there but its Okey..
for a stitch in time is a rigid proccess
Rather better you snitch its Okey..
Talk of enlightment bujas get real
Its real dark it real sad it night
Daylight knocks and mine eyes
see light once again
Defender you almost destroyed
Whats sacred you almost spilt
The sacred wine - blood
Defender they hurt you but
But you had to let go
Now you have to write
Write a novellette
luis lee are you not
Not the master lee
Defender i got a visit
From the moose of war...
Defender i embraced
Conflict albeit i didnt end up
End up in the abbyss..
Intra-personal conflict
Is the kettle soup of creativity

Lord forgive me
of thinking someone is a theif
Who stole our mother way
As a guest invited into our family home
But soon started to decieve
And took of with our mother when he did leave
He was thinking he was like a night in shining armour
Destroying our lives creating so much drama
Its true the enemy comes to kill steal and destroy
But we still have to forgive this Toy boy
Old enough to be our brother
So why did he steal our mother
The heartache didnt stop there
He divorced my mum
And for one of my sisters his love he did declair
He did it again detroying a family and causing pain
Only through forgivness
We can be at peace again
Amen
Forgive Just as the Lord forgives us
Let it go and be free
I stopped to smell the roses
and a thorn stabbed me in the nose
Then an angry bee flew up my shorts
And left me dancin on my toes
I started running for my doorstep
Sting ointment was my desparate need
But i tripped going up the steps
And it gave me bloody knees
My nose was bleeding profusely
The bee stinging me you know where
I was screaming like a wild banshee
Who was caught up in a snare
I went through the door in a mad frenzy
My wife saw my wild-eyed stare
She heard my screams of agony
Then she laughed like she didnt care
I bolted for the bathroom
I spread the ointment tween my thighs
I showered the blood off my knees and nose
Then i slipped and blackened both my eyes.
Theres a moral to my story
A life lesson very true,
When you stop to smell the roses
Maybe the roses are smelling you.
A talent from the basement of pubs onto little larger events
gaining knowledge experience, above all loved friends.
I seen five of us one time no skankers to be seen
but was about to change, ya knowarramean.
Pat`s talent recognised, soon rubbing shoulders with the best
his capabilities widening and put to the test
that he overwhelmed, flourished able to stand high
many towns and cities IOJ passed did pass by.
Every soul on this Earth had only a kind word, blessed with love
and cannot evaluate your suffering, now an angel above.
Joanne Trinity alongside Alijah will keep IOJ strong
rising up high the name fly, right where it belongs.
Your send off that of you will be proud, from far and wide a gathering of peace
a creation stemmed from you, one of belief.
Back to Cons, Simon Peggy and myself worse for wear but no regrets
offering Peggy her own cigarettes.. lol ... ( i didnt realise ) all good ..... BLESS X
I looked at my watch and it was quarter to three.
you were on your back where you wanted to be,
I had to wake you from your dreams, game changer,
there was Tonto but you settled for the Lone Ranger.
I looked at my watch and it was quarter to four,
you were dressed and heading towards the door,
I had to weather a storm, one which you might empower,
there was a slam and I was left in my ivory tower.
I looked at my watch and it was quarter to five,
you came back and like Daley, my spirits took a dive,
I had to admit that I didnt love you as often as I should,
there was a 'buck - up' needed, otherwise someone else would.
Time stood still, your hands went neither forward nor back,
you wound me up - reminded me of all the things I lack.
You danced with me
under the youthful trees
no music played just
the summer breeze
you took my breath
with every touch
your words were perfect
you said just enough
i tried to hide
how you made me
feel because i knew
that We Just Couldnt Be
You already Had Your Girl
And I Was Just Someone
You Liked to Twirl
That night we spent
beneath the stars
when you told me
you loved me , and
showed me all your scars
that night i should have
held your hand
that night i didnt kiss you
when i should of had
But that night i was
someone elses girl
so all we shared was
a midnight twirl
on those swings
so many stories we
would tell
you were the first
that in love I fell !
Form:
Undisciplined youth
The most vulnerable as they came
Hold on tight, now ive wondered
Back to memory lane
Why not, while i try to understand
why Destiny is so very strange
(Years 1-10)
Started when i learned i was born from shame
Parents cared enough, but struggled all the same
Not strong enough were they
after they had given me my name
One left the other
So history tore through
Repeating as i came
Addiction bled through
A passage etching
Sketching and nonrelenting
Used as a scapegoat to pour out all their pain
I collected and harvested
Like bruce banner i kept in the rage
Of an alcoholic parent
And sundering marriage of anothers family
violent in there ways
So at the age of 10, war was set in my days
Carried the weight through even as i came of age
Years 11-17
Kept as much as i could inside me
So the beast would remain caged
Growing older didnt help
Was like a cloud of darkness rolled in
Telling me everyone was in for themselves
All i wanted was a peace of mind and nothing else
To grow to love life
And in my daily toil love its strife
All that i saw on my way was heartbreak
Watching others either fall into love
Or into a final heartache
Their spirit whispered to my spirit
that i would eventually break
Havent yet but im beginning to crack
Because hope seems is sticking to a stake
