Dying World

Sun burns earth where wheat once grew

dry as sticks now no chance to renew

Rain will fall no more to enrich the land,

mother cant cry ,silenced by human hand.

Jungle trees cleared by greed

no fruits ripen producing healthy seeds,

to cure ailments and disease alike,

Forever lost in barren ground.

Poisoned ground with chemicals

wiping out insects who pollinate crops

Poisoned minds fed by corporate words

spliting minds like a sweeping sword.

Like sheep all led to the slaughter

promises of riches and a longer life

Used as fodder in religious strife

Oh people of earth seek the water.

Too late will be the cry as the Earth

broken beyond repair dies slowly

and breathes its last ,will they

all shout out any price to pay.

Why didnt we heed the rebels call,

instead we laughed at natures fall.

Why didnt we act when the chance arose,

its too late now as we fall.

Cry for a dying world we called home

Tears shed that wont water a crop

Cry to the sky and whatever God

to save us from a living hell.

if only we did something ourselves

did we really need that big house

Why did we laud selfish thoughts

Believing what we thought was truth.

"Too late will be the cry as the Earth broken beyond repair dies slowly and breathes its last ,will they all shout out any price to pay." I am fearful of this. Wonderfully done.
