He slips the noose around her slender neck
Cloaked and masked with heavy breath
He can't help but be obsessed
All the dolls hangin' around - pretty little lies that make not a sound
The poison of passion is imagined as they are undressed.
The dead in their eyes is magnificent
Ivory skin - chill to win
Realm of the dark, lips apart, he just has to do it - again and again
The equinox of evil with the essence of sin
Is it vanity or insanity - his dressing up to lure them in
Disquiet Devilry and a sip of gin and the perplexity of the evil twin.
The morbid beauty of death and dying
The lovelies I have twirling in the twilight
Death has changed my life - the quiet peace holds the ladies and - I tight
The divinity of debauchery - death is not treachery
It's like an estuary of decadent innocence.
Dainty damsels dangling Breathless but fabulous
Envisioning slitting their throats as if they were flowers
Heinous and horrific the macabre abounds
A carousel of corpses, a ballet of cadavers, a symphony of death
Dazzling
The eloquence of the end-of-life - exquisite and eternal
His masterpiece just hang'in around.....
Why cannot we see
The sun will shine brighter when…
we appreciate shadows as a generous reflection of truth
embrace the dazzling display of rainbow’s complement
contest burning skins on the muck heap of humanity
The night will emerge peacefully when…
we reflect upon rays of hope as a loving absorption of verity
reach out to eminent exposition of darkness’ tutelage
caress ambiguous sheathing beyond the rubbish of greed

I would like my name included, if chosen as part of the joint venture.
Little Lord Cat-la-Roy was given a day at the queen’s famous court.
He took a bottle of his daddy’s finest wine, blood red like port.
Left it with the sentinel who assured him he’d give it to the queen.
He saw him share it with the jester, which was truly kind of mean.
Lord Cat-la-Roy was dressed in his family’s finery, pretty robe and vest.
With ruffled blouse, and silken tapestry, they showed his eyes the best.
Eyes were his best feature, a dazzling, gorgeous emerald color.
Faded every tomcat at court, flirted at by two sisters and their mother.
He had the marvelous majestic markings of a tomcat fine and dandy.
Wearing all of grandmother’s jewelry, everything that she had handy.
Looked princely, someone wealthier than any other in the room.
No one suspected he was Cinder-Tom, treated like his brothers’ groom.
Made his escape that very day with the help of Godfather Fairy Cat.
He wanted a place at court, he was not thinking anything beyond that.
Tired of his brothers making him do all the work around their farm.
He figured to lie a little bit could do him absolutely no real harm.
The queen’s daughter took a shine to him and made her way to dance.
Thought she was rather silly, and the gyrations dumb too, like a prance.
He smelled fresh mouse, and this was the beginning of the end of him.
He gave chase right then, and swallowed the rat in front of all of them.
Princess was disgusted, she walked off in a huff before he could share.
But the Mother cat and her daughters took him home to their soft lair.
He is now living the life of luxury in the palace of the queen of the land.
For his benefactors are the king’s consorts with wine, food, and a band.
Sunlight sparkles on the shimmering pond
its mirror like surface smooth as silk
dragonflies dance across the water
performing aerial acrobatics like a circus in the air
Water dipping on a fairground ferris wheel
then plunging dramatically like a helicopter in free-fall
rising and falling skimming the water so gracefully
transparent gossamer wings flapping in flight
Shimmering like a sapphire in the early morning sun
dazzling me with your infinite beauty
On summer days I wish I had wings
seeing dragonflies’ dancing makes my heart sing
This is one of my early poems and it is a particular favourite as I tried very hard with the imagery

What pride and joy for me to delight,
albeit vicariously upon receiving invite,
sans commencement at
Redmond Proficiency Academy
on May twenty second at six o'clock at night,
which arrangement to Maurice silly revel
from afar, viz pomp and circumstances quite
emotional, ah...I can feel exuberance
listening to Sir Edward
Elgar - Pomp and Circumstance
March Number 1 - right
amidst envisioned glorious sight,
this prodigal beloved
young lady Marleigh Dunning, aye write
a precious prized progeny,
with modesty all agleam
no doubt with beauty, she twill beam
dazzling full house, electrifying audience
asper her due smarts, i.e. creme de la creme
top honors, and accolades galore
relishing hearty applause, and teary eyes
left for this estranged bro attempting to dream,
how proud such progressive parents
Andy (by the way belated happy birthday),
and Shari dear sister my apology, harried self esteem
(mine), who nonetheless takes stock,
how promising success story doth appear
will take said niece far and wide,
which whiz kid will quick buckle down and clear
as pitch perfect cerulean sky will engineer
experiential opportunities, whose cerebral gear
far and above this average hear
suit uncle late in his existence
admires brilliant storied
future awaiting thee
acquiring an equitable salary
persevering toward passion,
vis a vis art history
with a minor in chemistry,
abundant wit and wisdom
so blessed born free
to choose bajillion options
soon to matriculate at Ivy
League school, perhaps
becoming rich and famous
as hordes of paparazzi
furiously jostle and elbow
to savor opportunity
as demure, genteel, as ideal
exemplar of female human poise -
ladies and gentlemen the renown Marleigh,
whose shining moment under klieg lights,
this financially strapped poet
unable to rejoice in person, qua special day
duet to a pinched finances
arising when Hyundai Sonata,
thrice necessitated monetary outlay!
Drizzling, dazzling
splinters of diamond
Shards of crystal
or liquidized glass!
Transparent drops
from a translucent sky.
Ooh, that lucid lustre:
No wonder they say,
there's something sexy about the rain
Atleast it does seem to drive
dripping lovers insane.
And then as if frenzied, suddenly excited
the drizzle converts into a heavy downpour
as thunders bellow and thunders roar
as rivers swell and rivers soar.
Rain battering our rooftop
like needless war drums
or heedless bass drums
The heavens having opened
to announce a cloud burst
Till it's said to be raining cats and dogs
or more realistically, fishes and frogs!
O' God bless the nimbus
Those soaking cotton wool puffs in the sky
Those candy floss rainclouds sailing by.
The car door opened
The first thing I saw
Was an explosion of balloons,
More than I’d ever seen
In my entire nine-year life.
For the first time
We were at the fair
I leapt from the car
Feet running before
They hit the ground,
Knowing I had to see
Everything,
Do
Everything,
Taste
Everything
In just two hours
Before the long trip home
And, I did!!
The drive home was filled
With dizzying, dazzling,
Stupefying memories of
Excitement, movement,
Colors, noise,
Tastes,
People,
Rides.
I had taken in
As much as I could
As fast as I could
Leaving scarcely room
For a breath
Now I finally let it all out
By throwing up
In the back seat
With a loud, “Brrraaaggghh!!
As he pulled the car over
My father mumbled,
“Never again”,
My mother whispered, in reply
“Never again”,
I scarcely heard them
As I shouted,
“When can we go again??”!!
Watch the garden grow, the flowers bloom,
the trees sparkle, laden in pink blossom.
The dew dropped grass, the clear, sunny morns,
Hear the nightingale's beautiful, spring call.
Sunscreen at the ready, sand baked between toes.
Sandals, bikinis, hats sprawled upon the beach.
Dipping in the icy sea, a kayak through the caves.
Surfing at sunrise then fishing for a fry up.
The whisp of autumn's breeze, a flurry of orange.
Crunching leaves in wellys, hunting for chestnuts.
Sunsets dazzling their natural firework display,
Over fields of corn, soon harvested and rolled.
Sniffles in the cold wind, hankies at the ready.
Nights spent cuddled by the log fire in pjs.
Families unite to play indoors on colder nights,
singing songs to mark the turning of new year.

SUNSHINE
Diversity in lives of Earth to enhance,
Flora-Fauna flowing in abundance,
Every happening does not come by chance,
But by gift of Sunshine.
Water evaporates continuous.
Clouds form. Showers follow spontaneous.
Water-Cycle running, so oblivious,
Just by bliss of Sunshine.
Sun shines red-crimson,
at dawn, dazzling bright at noon,
being dim at evening.
Sunflower erects
straight head always facing Sun
on ardent ardor.
Sunshine blesses throughout day,
as sunflower turns and nods.

Little flowers, little flowers, what’s your name?
When god gave you colors and the first star shone
Did your sweetness and glamour stay the same?
Were you afraid of light and was your allure gone?
A sage had those queries
upsetting his idle mind,
then a swift gust of wind
carried dazzling faeries
dancing in his drowsy mind.
They sung about the day
when God made a star,
and placed it very far,
Yet we see its bright ray
journeying from afar
Their laugh has a silver glow
and the sound of a small bell,
The sage could not tell
how the faerie winds blow
twinkled the small bell.
They continued to dance,
When God’s used his power
to bloom the first flower.
Sweet was the new fragrance,
sanctioned by holy power.
When the sun lightened the day, the sage left his dream
with a sunflower on his hand: orange and dark blue:
Those are the wrong colors, what they could mean?
The sage could be a poet, because he had not a clue…
Then he heard a laugh,
and saw a woman by his side,
smiling jolly and wide:
Knowledge is for naught
if you wake with love by your side.
