My Ingenuity Friend

I miss you, yes you.
    Where have you been?
    Were you hiding or hibernating?
Your strong will and encouragement I seek,
    Those inspired words you speak.
    Always true to yourself,
Even if people gave you hell.
You stay cool, calm and collective,
Don’t let cruel gossip be infective.

  Where have you been?
  Did something happened unforeseen?
You don’t let peoples’ hate broke you down,
You make sure you stand your ground.
I know, their behavior caused sometimes pain,
You try to refrain, not think or react on it,
  It makes your sometimes sick.

  Don’t worry my ingenuity friend,
The two of us will stay true friends.
You are my soul, and I am your body,
Together we ride our storms till the end.

Premium Member Two Women Same Ailment

Shirley is in constant pain, but she does not take it out on anyone.
Only her closest friends know – the two closest friends.
She does not burden others with her ailment.
She is pleasant throughout the day, ignoring her pain.
She does not take pain pills because they knock her out.
She has a full-time job that she loves, so she keeps going.
Her co-workers would be startled to learn of her pain.
Her boss also has no idea.

Marvel is in constant pain. She is grouchy and mean.
To her family, her neighbors and people in the grocery store.
She snaps, complains and grouses most of her day.
She wants others to be as miserable as she is.
She cannot keep a job because of her choices.
She chooses to be nasty and mean.
She can be cruel.
She has no boss, and no friends.

Two women with the same ailment.
Handling it in their own unique way.

The Mystic Eyes Of Megan

Woo-woo, The mystic eyes of Megan
paint life in blue and grey,
no glimmer of sunlight
breaks through my cloudy day:
our footprints have been erased
by the drifting breeze that
even dissolves the lovely thoughts
thoughts we wrote on the dune
with childish whim and delight,
while we hummed a happy tune...
feeling mellow, not sad!

Wpp-wooo, we resemble
dry leaves falling off
a shedding tree branch,
standing over the foggy ranch;
does anyone catch them
to remind us of Autumn
and comfort grieving goldfinch
waiting for days in vain:
she has lost her soulmate.
Don't run from me again,
don't be more cruel than fate!

Woowoo, the mystic eyes of Megan
paint like in blue and grey,
there's no sunset, no dawn;
ditch your silly monotony,
brighten your day.
I have been patient enough
to tolerate what I don't deserve,
I have been too kind; I often laugh...
hiding this anger I would like to unnerve!

Woowoo, I am that lover who satisfies all desires
be forever true, don't cheat on me:
woowoo, this beautiful thing is simply
called love, honey;
no woman has ever told me lies,
I love endlessly,
I demand sincerity!

Winter's Cruel kiss

She's out of this world, thinking of no one but herself,
The pain she caused on that fateful day,
A forgotten wound that refuses to heal,
A heartless queen, selfish in her own way."
In the shadows of her mind, the memories linger on,
The day she chose to shatter his heart,
A decision made without thought or care,
A broken prince, left alone to mourn."

Her cruelty knew no bounds, a dark queen of ice,
His love, once pure and true, now twisted by her knife,
In the depths of his despair, he curses her name,
A broken kingdom, forever changed by her game."
As the years pass, his pain a constant ache,
He remembers the day she broke him,
A wound that never heals, a scar that never fades,
A cold queen, ruling from a frozen throne of mistakes."

In the silence of his suffering, he whispers her name,
A broken king, his kingdom in ruins,
A shattered dream, forever stained by her game,
A cold queen, alone in her icy domain."
And in the end, he dies alone, his heart frozen in time,
A fallen king, forgotten by the world,
A broken heart, lost to the cold queen's crime,
A tragic tale, of love and betrayal entwined."

Winter's cruel kiss"

The moment winter softens into spring and all is melting, the first flower is the
white snowdrop poking through the snow, quickly followed by johnny-jump ups.
They are so cute and delicate in my patch of garden, they just pop up everywhere.
Here and there are bright patches of loveliness.

snowdrops touch my heart
jump ups where you least expect-
they say hello spring

And then come the drifts of bulbs planted in hopes last year. The flocks of crocuses,
daffodils, and tulips all a pleasant mingling of color. Some even grow on my lawn,
I blame the squirrels for that. The whole garden is wild and dripping with flowers,
but just for awhile. Those bulb beauties fade away as quickly as they came.

so fat and healthy
growing like musical notes-
so soon withering

Oh, the harmonious hues of summer, the painted daisies in their pretty dresses,
and the purple irises all fancy. And near the back fence, the sweet yellow meadow
rue amongst the lace white lady's mantle. Soon come the day lilies and the blue
phlox, and just beyond the fence a lilac tree brings lovely scents on the breeze.

such a pretty view
from my big kitchen window-
I look thoughtfully

Fall has come and the garden is beginning to fade. It is a rough passage, cruel to
see the menacing weather confuse the flowers. Oh, how they struggle to survive
the cold rain and frosty nights. But the strong still bloom till the very end.
A single delicate rose is a gift to behold. And then the garden sleeps.

pushing the limits
each flower must fade in time-
garden memories

And under the snow the garden dreams. Beneath the earth it sleeps, as the winds
howl and drifts of snow cover everything white. They sleep. And I also have dreams
for my garden. I make plans for next year, for new flowers to plant among the old.
Winter is a time for dreaming, planning and wishing.

perhaps bell flowers
or maybe blue corn flowers-
oh shasta daisy

Premium Member THINKING BOUT FREEDOM

Thinking ‘bout freedom’ ain’t it funny?
Brown dirt roads and jars of honey, household stalls
Coins and ‘paper money’ days you could find what you needed along of main streets
Thinking Albury-Wodonga the Hume highways sweep
The Murray Basin cattle; wheat and sheep
A telescopic rod, my dad thought real neat,
Stereo speakers on a (black box pye) cool and functional
Streets ice cream we’d buy
Colvan crisps or might be Smiths; they are the
Borderline choices, that hit my miss. I hear
Now that Topher; is around these old parts?
Hitting the ether and telling of some
Rorts’ and of agenda 2030, that real bad plan
Persevering for freedom, trying to
Demo that contrived foreign wall planned’
It’s not that its (real visible) but it’s hard,
And cruel to all. Upon its ramparts crouch
Traitors who denounce; us aware’ as
Dils and fools, and the ways of the free
Living? They are as poison to them all!
So we blast out real messages in any
Damn way that we can call. Check out Hoody & Bosie
The (white rabbit). And more, taking a stand! Max Egan
Jhonny Larter… Prof. Ian Brighthope Neil Patterson and so many
From our own shores, dip into the alternative, give it a go.
Maybe you’ll want more? Think what happened to
Gunbower & Phillip Islands…small farmers (had to go!).
Now check the rear-view mirror…
Before you’re driven off of your own bloody feilds; streets and
Wide roads.’

Premium Member The Web and the Queen

Characters:
Narrator,
Queen Bee &
Worker Bee.

Setting:
Inside a bustling beehive, buzzing with activity. The Queen Bee inspects the honeycomb.

Narrator:
Deep in the hive, a kingdom thrives,
Golden walls and buzzing lives.
The Queen Bee reigns, with a watchful eye,
Her workers toil, beneath the sky.

(Queen Bee flutters her wings, surveying the hive)

Queen Bee:
Busy bees, your wings a-thrum,
Pollen bright, a joyful hum.
Honeycomb walls, our golden pride,
In this sweet hive, we all reside.

(A young worker bee bursts into the hive, frantic)

Worker Bee:
Oh, Queen! A terror grips my heart,
A friend is lost, torn, ripped apart!
A shimmery net, a sticky snare,
A monstrous spider, waiting there!

(Queen Bee turns sharply, her voice hardening)

Queen Bee:
The web of death, a chilling sight,
A cruel design, that claims its right.
One life may fall, a fleeting breath,
But life itself defies such death.

(Queen Bee looks out at the web with a resolute expression)

Narrator:
Though sorrow stings, the Queen holds strong,
Nature's cruel dance, where death belongs.
From fallen forms, new life will bloom,
A cycle spun, within the tomb.

(Queen Bee addresses the worker bee directly)

Queen Bee:
Go, little bee, spread the word wide,
Let work and life, forever confide.
Though loss may strike, with the chilling blow,
The hive endures, and the cycle must flow.

(The worker bee nods solemnly and flies back to the hive)

Narrator:
The Queen alone, with regal gaze,
Watches the web, a beauty's daze.
Death intertwined with life's embrace,
A circle spun, in nature's space.

EYES WISE AND OLD

We are the children of Gaza~
we’ve tasted fear, smelt burning air,
          a generation forged in conflict

We are the children of Gaza~
our feet are shoeless and dust-caked,
          wartime rubble, our playground

We are the children of Gaza~
our crayons and picture books destroyed,
          replaced with shrapnel and fear.

We are the children of Gaza~
     sirens are our lullabies,
          the news, our bedtime stories.

We are the children of Gaza~
our laughter is a fragile bird
          taking flight between explosions.

We are the children of Gaza~
we build castles of dust and sorrow,
imagination, our shields against war’s despair.

We are the children of Gaza~
we long for normalcy, wish for a swing set,
yearning for a simple, unbroken day.

We are the children of Gaza~
     we learned survival before subtraction,
          experiencing loss before love.

We are the children of Gaza~
our childhoods stolen, piece by piece,
by the cruel arithmetic of war.

We are the lost children of Gaza~
     our eyes wide and old,
          hold stories we shouldn’t know.

Premium Member The Well - Rondel Prime Or French Sonnet

My mind follows, where heart can not lead,
Thriving on pain, inside me,is an empty well
I think I've found a way out of this dread,
To stop pain, from my past to dwell.

Wounds can now be healed,no longer bred,
Don't bother to call me,I sent you to hell
My mind follows, where heart can not lead,
Thriving on pain, inside me, is an empty well.

Love is buried now and from you have fled,
Never to be found again,no more is to tell
No longer I am under your cruel spell,
Tired of playing your games, rather be dead
My mind follows, where heart can not lead,
Thriving on pain, inside me,is an empty well.

Pet Rocks and More

Pet Rocks And More
(rocks don’t snore)

Pet rocks must be kept refrigerated
Wrapped in aluminum foil for protection
Visitors mistake them for dinner rolls
Butter them up at midnight in the dark
Return them because they are too hard

Pet rocks don’t like strangers
They do not play well with others
Or move around late at night in the dark
Like sneaky thieving visitors do

Pet rocks have no feet to proceed
Are not snacks for those who do
People who lack manners are cruel
Rocks are bad for the digestion

Like Pluto, pet rocks don’t care
If you think of them as planets or stones
Home is were they are and where they land
No matter where you throw them

Place them in a microwave or fridge
Some pets need some maintenance
Rocks need none
Think of them as friends without a bite
In hard times they will never leave you

Love your rocks as best you can
Don’t butter them or eat them
You will need new teeth
To see a dentist you will need a car
