...So why do we keep ghosts in here
when by the day many folks die?
Well, you see, it’s technology,
it tears them apart from the inside.
Since they are merely energy
all the fields from our gadgets and toys
scatter their essence all about,
it’s a fate free ghosts can’t avoid.
These ones here we were lucky to save,
and we need to find more all the time,
some go to heaven, others to hell,
each morn we know not what we’ll find!
Nearby is the mummy’s lair,
and it causes controversy,
some say that they shouldn’t be here,
that they are just dressed-up zombies.
Others claim it’s a magic thing,
which makes them a whole other clade,
I honestly don’t’ care that much,
the people come see them in spades.
Some were even Egyptian pharaohs,
though which, we’re not really sure,
professors have tried to talk to them,
to see what history they can learn.
Hollywood has rented them out
for their movies, and they pay so well,
sometimes they seem to try to speak,
though what they say, no one can tell.
Most people like to hear them moan,
like they did in the films of old,
did you know mummies really do that?
And if they catch you they’ll grab hold?
Sadly, they do not do much more.
We don’t see them often these days,
not many folks still mummify,
and the old ones have been grave-robbed,
in the wild they don’t survive.
Keeping them stocked up with linen
makes all the zookeeper’s tired,
but let’s down to the big show,
the place where we keep the vampires.
Now these guys are a unique case,
since they’re not critters, but our guests,
they’re sentient like human beings,
to lock them would be to oppress.
We build them big apartments here,
with a back-room facing the zoo,
we pay them to visit with folks,
and tell lots of stories to you.
Since vampires are immortal
so many great tales can they share,
want to know how Jesus Christ died?
Well our guy Julius was there!
They can leave any time of course,
some of them even punch the clock.
Wilhelm is a security guard,
walks the night shift like any cop.
Some thing, but won’t he feed on folks?
It hasn’t been that was for years,
since transfusions and blood banks came
there has been no reason to fear.
They no longer had to kill people,
staying alive didn’t mean murder,
they’d get their pints, go on their way,
no reason to bite folks or disturb...
CONCLUDES IN PART IV.
The death penalty, a practice rooted in antiquity, continues to evoke controversy and ethical dilemmas in modern society. Despite its purported role in deterring crime and administering justice, the death penalty stands on shaky moral ground and should be abolished for several compelling reasons.
Firstly, the irreversible nature of the death penalty is inherently flawed. In a justice system prone to human error, the risk of executing an innocent person is ever-present. Numerous cases worldwide have revealed wrongful convictions, highlighting the fallibility of judicial proceedings. Once a life is taken, there is no recourse for rectifying such a grievous mistake, perpetuating an irreversible injustice that stains the fabric of society.
Moreover, the death penalty undermines the fundamental value of human life. By sanctioning state-sanctioned killings, societies diminish the sanctity of life and condone violence as a means of resolving conflicts. Such a stance contradicts the principles of compassion, rehabilitation, and forgiveness, which should underpin any civilized society's legal framework.
Furthermore, the death penalty fails to achieve its purported goal of deterrence. Empirical evidence suggests that the threat of capital punishment does not significantly deter individuals from committing heinous crimes. Instead, socioeconomic factors, mental health issues, and systemic inequalities often drive criminal behavior. Investing in preventative measures, such as education, poverty alleviation, and mental health services, would yield more effective and humane solutions to reducing crime rates.
Critics argue that the death penalty provides closure to victims' families and serves as a form of retribution. However, vengeance should not be conflated with justice. Studies have shown that the prolonged legal processes and endless appeals associated with death penalty cases exacerbate the victims' families' trauma, prolonging their suffering rather than offering closure.
In conclusion, the abolition of the death penalty aligns with the principles of justice, compassion, and human rights. By rejecting this antiquated and morally dubious practice, societies can move towards a more enlightened and humane approach to criminal justice—one that prioritizes rehabilitation, reconciliation, and the inherent worth of every individual.
“The Purple Reign”
by: Eric L. Boddie
“I Want to Be Your Lover” is so “Insatiable” to some
But I “Adore” you because the “Holy River” is where I’m from
And “I Could Never Take the Place of Your Man,” that’s “Scandalous” to think
But I answered “The Question of U” is “Strange but True,” so don’t blink
Maybe it’s this “Erotic City,” or, perhaps, it’s because she looks so good in that “Raspberry Beret”
But I want to be “Somebody’s Somebody,” but she must be the “Marrying Kind” I say
So “Lady Cab Driver” in the “Little Red Corvette”
“Let’s Pretend We’re Married” with some “Dance, Music, Sex, Romance,” and I expect
To be the “International Lover” for every “Irresistible *****”
Because I Love every woman from “The Most Beautiful Girl in the World” to “Billy Jack *****”
Let me leave you “Satisfied” in puddles of “Black Sweat”
But I “No” all that I want so “Damn U” before I forget
That “Nothing Compares 2 U” plus I Love when you “Call My Name”
“U Got That Look” that lures all the “Girls and Boys” just the same
This “Cinnamon Girl” named “Anna Stesia” is the only one I want to call baby
Even if it took “A Million Days,” I would tell her “Let’s Go Crazy”
Maybe I got one of those “Colonized Minds” that will never let me say “Eye Hate U”
But “One of Us” must understand that “The Love We Make” is true
So if I gave you “Diamonds and Pearls” or took you “Around the World in a Day”
Would you “Do Me Baby” or let “Bob George” get in the way
Even back in “1999,” I was somewhat addicted to the “Pop Life”
Because of a “Condition of the Heart” that made me want a “Friend, Lover, Sister, Mother, Wife”
But there is “Joy in Repetition” every time we try a “New Position”
And “Baby I’m a Star” so my “Darling Nikki,” you should know my intentions
But the “Rainbow Children” provide the best “Sign ‘O’ the Times”
I want you “Forever in My Life” because we like to “Play in the Sunshine”
Because “When 2 R in Love,” there must be a sincere sense of “Trust”
And when it’s not so “So Dark,” it looks like “Purple Rain” to us
And that’s “When Doves Cry,” in light of our “Private Joy”
Without “Controversy,” it’s the “Love Sign” I employ
So “Gett Off” of that hate train, and let “Positivity” spark
And if you’re “Willing and Able,” that’s what is done at “Paisley Park”
RIP Brother Prince Rogers Nelson…..God Wants you In His Choir…..
It's no secret that good leadership is essential in life
For if you're not properly lead you may experience stress and strife
Good leaders are needed to show us how to do things right
Good leaders are prevalent in showing us God's light
A blind man named Bartimaeus was s beggar on the side of the road
He was in a precarious situation if the truth were to be told
He needed a way out of his dereliction
He needed a good leader to give him direction
And yet when I look our political situation these days
I see clowns who want to be leaders and I immediately start to pray
Not many are called, a few are chosen and less have been commissioned
But when a person has the right stuff he will have God's permission
Thank God for those seasons when good leaders manifest
Those who have been called to correct and address
To show us what's right and how to have a good attitude
To challenge us and help us develop the right aptitude
So that we are made ready to face controversy
And are better prepared to face the advesary
Good leaders are called to show us the true posture of God
And how to walk humbly and strive mercifully with love in our hearts
Good leaders are chosen to challenge the status quo
And show us how little we actually know
To remind us not to judge but just accept
For good leaders don't look down nor do they expect
Everyone to be perfect and in the right place
For good leaders are like the roadside church of Jesus offering mercy and grace
Now the roadside church of Jesus does not discriminate
The roadside church of Jesus does not segregate
It calls out to any and all who have a need or desire
As the roadside church of Jesus is godly inspired
There are no rules or regulations that may spiritually impede
The roadside church of Jesus is about serving one's needs
Good leaders are commissioned to help bring about change
Full of the Holy Spirit that has the power to rearrange
Any circumstances and all situations
Any problems and all complications
Good leaders are commissioned to comprehend and understand
What is required to be a godly woman or man
To let us know that a roadside mentality
Will not lead you towards prosperity
Good leaders are called, chosen and commissioned in life
To correct, challenge and change us to be like the roadside church of Christ
Everyday, I wake up wondering if the moon will shine or the stars will find a clear path to explore the other side of the universe. Every day, I wake up wondering if the sun will raise, and the moon will continue to walk by your side.
They sit up all night with an axe and a bible by their side and gun pointing to the east figuring out the next step to deceive the beast. A toxic feeling is going around and it makes me want to vomit on the ground.
Just as you think everything is going well, someone around the corner wants to drag you down in hell and suddenly the lights start growing dim and a strange energy surrounds the place. It built up an uncomfortable feeling in my chest and leaves me gasping for breath.
It circulates my entire body and it left me scrambling for an hour; if I had a better pair of shoe and enough money for the ride, I would walk out at this very moment without looking to the left or the right.
Every day I get up with a positive feelings, with new cells bursting in my anonymity and the forces of nature guiding me and the universe watching over me.
I am organized and ready to go but there is always something unpleasant to barge in the middle of the show, it is not a nice feelings it is painful and revealing and sometimes challenging .I have no control over what is happening around me some people are known for creating controversy and it leaves them hanging upside down in the pot.
See them sitting over there, fighting for that big dirty golden chair, the speechless ones, the quiet one, and big mouth one with voices thundering beneath the roof and big foot shaking the ground without a penny or a crown. You who are fighting for the chair will be left cold empty and bare, the sun will burn your behind and water will flood your cemetery until you do what is right.
It’s like you are waiting for that special song to sing but something
is always changing the rhythm and sometimes you don’t know whose song to sing, and the music keeps playing without a sound and it keeps dragging you towards the unknown.
I have had days like this when, I just feel like moving to another place to breath fresh air, to meet new people and write new music. Germany, France, Italy or Switzerland would be fun but I don’t know how to use a gun so I will stick to Asia because the journey is longer and it is safer.

Poem of the Day (POTD), April 26, 2023
This is featured in the book, Reflections on the Important Things (500+ poems on important life subjects such as nature, faith, mental health, romance, in memoriam, and humor. Paperback – November 15, 2023) by Arczis Web Technologies (Author), PoetrySoup (Author)
The windows are closing in, and gaps are getting thin, mankind has paid the sacrifice for useless pollution on the surface of the earth and their lungs are filled with dirt.
I look above the benevolent sky and search for the big lie, Fossil Fuels supply eighty four percent of the world’s energy and you want to phase it out in a hurry, what alternative do you have to supply the world with clean energy?
The scientists don’t know this and the chemist cannot prove it but the physicist can narrate it. Their work is outside but the formula is embedded inside and the philosopher is their guide.
Hydrocarbon is lining the throne and natural gas is homeward bound. The coal is floating around in abundance and the oil is shooting through the pipes what the row is about is to bring it to net zero or phase it out?
They come from all over the globe to listen to the multitude shout and have joined the climate change choir and expressing their innate desire. The band is in place and the musicians are on the stage, they have composed the fossil fuel hymn and everybody began to sing.
But the rhythm and the harmony are not right and there is a silent internal fight, the heavens are standing tall and the mountains are rubbing against the wall.
The chief is singing the base and Opec giant has entered the debate and blocked the fossil fuel phasing out scheme and have shattered the green minded countries dream.
What alternatives do you have when the world demand for fossil fuels doubles every twenty years? Why are you in such a hurry when there is no other voice to join the choir.
Climate Change is real and you have got to have continuous negotiation to generate a practical solution to appease your fossil fuel ambition. You must knock off some of the theory and stitch the entire loose edges together.
Carbon emission reduction is on the agenda too, it is causing controversy for me and you and if you put fossil fuel and carbon emission all together the internal combustion will move the engine around the world.
Tomorrow when you meet and start to greet you must come up with a solid plan to moderate carbon emission and fossil fuel demand on the land without causing power outage and fuel shortage around the globe. The row will continue until you figure how to sort it out.
What does one do, when they feel forgotten?
What good are tears unseen or sobs unheard
and when the tree of liberty seems to be rotten
because they’ve been dismissed and rejected at a word?
What does one do, when they’re silenced
for viewing the world through their own eyes?
What does one do when they’re trapped and tied down
when they’re kicked and there’s no help around?
What does one do, when frightened?
When chains are thrown o’er them and tightened?
When prayers are raised but seem unheard
when one feels abandoned and alone in the world?
What does one do, when self-evident truths
get wiped away in anonymous booths,
and the winners, gloat and show no mercy
because the people have spoken
and whatever one does, will bring controversy
so tell me…what does one do?
What does one do, when threatened?
When dismayed or betrayed and their back to the blade
and the liberty bell is cracked, and rings no more
at least not for them, and not on these shores,
because for some it’s better to be right,
then to worry for others, or to fight in their fight.
So I ask, what does one do when singled out
for their religion, or color or body or mind
when the rest of the world seems so suddenly blind?
What does one do when their neighbors turn
an apathetic eye to the border wall
symbolically standing as a reminder to all
that unalienable only applies to un-aliens?
That life, liberty and pursuit of happiness
are not rights at all, but prizes to earn.
You should have chosen more thoughtfully where to be born
if you wanted rights beyond struggle and scorn.
What does one do, when freedom’s flame dims out;
when lady liberty gets smothered in a pompous mist?
What does one do to pretend it’s ok
when the rhetoric prevailing on any given day
is a torrent of doubt about their hard-earned place
and could orphan their children, and threatens to chase
them all “back whence they came.”
Tell me, from your anonymous place,
what would you do?
Would you peacefully sit and hope for the best,
and put your trust in your fellow man?
Would you “come together as one”
with those who voted that you don’t matter?
Would you wave freedom’s banner aloft in the breeze,
as your freedom was being seized?
No seriously, what would you do?

If life was a canvas how would you paint it
If life was a canvas how would I paint it
Bright colors making rainbows, a picture of fun
Would you paint by the numbers and quickly be done
Approach with simplicity on your brain
A life full of cheer, one that's easy to maintain
This fear arises after staring at my page
A vision played out, a scene of puppets on a stage
A life mapped out from beginning to end
This how you'll dance and all will blend in
From this nightmare I awaken, intent to flee
Trapped in someone's vision, I demand to be free
For my thoughts to run wild, to erupt when they may
Deciding what I dream, what I think, what I say
No cage for my brain, no shackles for my life
Persuade all you want, try to entice
There's one thing I've learned, I yearn for a fight
Opportunity to overcome, triumph, to do right
Just out of spite I'll paint my picture
An array of splatters, a distasteful mixture
A canvas made dirty, ruined in your view
Full of feeling, truth, maybe a little rude
Strokes of genuine love and pain
New life and sunshine, some death and rain
A vision to stay true to this life we all live
No hiding the turmoil or effort we give
While embracing the moments we all live for
Family, adventure, comfort and more
A smile that brings light and calms a storm
Devastating events that cause you to mourn
The good and the bad, the beautiful and ugly
Unique beliefs, standards, and controversy
Displaying our fears of the mundane and unknown
Of the sights we have seen, the ones yet to be shown
A love hate relationship with all that we know
Places we've been, left and hope to go
Outside the lines, no connecting the dots
Refusal to reform nor stay in one spot
No outline to my life, no limit to my potential
More than one muse, all is influential
I'll hang it on my wall for all to critique
To say what they will, my future is bleak
A magnificent mess of highs and lows
A hint of mystery, let the suspense grow
With an area untouched, left blank for a reason
Specially reserved for the upcoming season
A masterpiece in the making, one of a kind
A Jessie Original, you can't have it, it's mine
One man's dream is another's nightmare
So to each their own, let's keep it fair
I feel angry,
Angry at the world surrounding me,
Angry at the person I can clearly see,
Full of rage so ferrocious it blinds me,
This pent up wrath that boils inside me,
Blasts out full force, an explosion for all to see,
This intangible fierce red wrath of energy,
All around me are definitely in jeopardy,
My vision becomes compromised,
All I see is anger, my pulse pounds in my head,
My blood burns hot through my veins,
My thoughts filled with rage and bloodshed,
I feel angry, my hate is hungry,
My fists ball up tight my jaw is locked shut,
My teeth are clenched every muscle tensed,
Consumed by a fire of fury and discontent,
I am angry, and its growing angrier,
People think they can take advantage of me,
Taking all I have, especially my positive energy,
Then they replace it with only negativity,
My anger is angry, I am atomicaly angry,
At the struggles he almighty bestows on me,
Expecting me to smile and always be happy,
No one understands how this affects my psychie,
I am truly so angry,
To loose my thirst for life that once drove me,
Dreams and opportunities snatched away quickly,
Let down by my own body, once strong now sickly,
Left alone with only my mind and body controversy,
I have no other option but to beg for mercy,
As this sinful rage consumes me entirely,
I can no longer see the worlds joy and glory,
Dear lord please I beg heal me,
Dear lord please I beg help me,
Dear lord please I beg have mercy,
Dear lord please have pitty on me,
Life is so short, I feel how I'm left to live mine,
Is not only shameful its wasteful a true crime,
How loud must I scream help before I loose dignity,
How many poems must I write as a poetress about me,
Will someone be able to see my poems need enallage,
The message is clear my bodies weak, my eyes tear,
My head hurts and my heart aches is it still unclear,
I fear I will not survive this distructive path another year,
I hope and pray everyday for a new frontier,
Please read my words hear my plea, catch every tear
Help me find the path back to being me,
To live a proper life full of happiness and glee,
I no longer want to be angry, I want to be happy.
