Mine

Sometimes I want nothing more than to sit and watch you sleep.
The sound of your steady breathing soothes my heart.
Your tiny fist curled under your stubborn little chin.
A reminder of your father whom you resemble so much.

Sometimes you sigh and I wonder what you dream.
A silky curl of hair lies caressing your pudgy cheek.
Recipient of heavenly angel’s kisses before you came to me.
A blessing and suprise you were given to me to protect.

To love and raise up in the image of our true Father.
A difficult task and I feel I’m not up to the challenge.
But I try everyday and sometimes I succeed only to fail.
But your fearless spirit and irascible smile they heal me.

Lead me on to another day another chance to do it right.
A soul sent down from above to mix with genomes and chromosomes.
Spin out and form a wonder in my body nestled under my ribs.
Cherish him the heart cries, teach him the brain declares.

Save him the warrior inside commands and I am overwhelmed.
Until a firm voice enters in and sets things to right.
I will cherish him, I will teach him, I will save him He says.
It is the voice of the One, the Alpha and the Omega, The I am.

Your duty is to be his mother, his confidante, his shelter.
You will provide him sustenance and love and be his guide.
Show him the way, lead him to me for you are all my children.
This is my son as well as yours I gave him to you to keep for me.

One day I will call him back and you will be ready to let go.
He is a part of my plan, my army, my missionaries and my design.
I hear these words and they frighten me, he is MY son.
But I hear the truth in them as well and am burdened with sadness.

With dawning realization I discover that your smile, your laugh.
They are glimpses of heaven and the master plan is clear to me.
With guidance, support and love you will fulfill your destiny.
I carried you inside me, nourished you and cared for you.

Yet you do not belong solely to me. You have a higher goal.
Perhaps you will dance or teach or fight against bitter odds.
But whatever cause you undertake I will be with you there.
Never alone for the bond can not be broken by earthly measures.

And that no matter when or why I should show no hesitance.
For I know that I will always be with you wherever you go.
And for now while you are my sweet baby, you are mine.

A LETTER TO HER

??
(12/01/2024)
Friday morning,
Words do fall short when I am trying to express my feelings in this written language. But anyway come to Daddy and listen to all his confessions. From the very first moment we crossed paths, I felt a connection that surpassed the ordinary; It was magical how our souls entwined, like strings on a musical instrument we aligned. they say real recognize real; it was my soul that run to yours on that day, i recooo... Aghh??????? a story that cannot be understood. There is one thing that is certain and true; Your presence is a constant source of comfort, just like a blanket so cozy on a day so chilly, wrapping me in warmth and reassurance, a feeling so golden, Rosey ??. Sthandwa, As I reflect on this ongoing journey, I can genuinely say I am grateful for the beautiful memories we've created together. Every shared experience with you feels like a page from a storybook, written with love and laughter. Je t'aime (i love you) more than words can express. Through you, i've experienced true love; imagine you stayed by my side during my toughest days, saying, "through thick and thin, i am not letting this bond break but i want our connection deepen," and instead of leaving you offered me a comforting shoulder. You've seen me at my best and held me during my worst, and your love remained a constant. I owe you alot. You trusted me with your plans since you believed in me that us together they will come to pass. With you, I've discovered the true companionship. It's not just about the grand gestures, but those everyday moments where we share dreams, fears, and laughter. Consider how you understand me without words, and how you support my aspirations with unshakable belief. You are not just my partner; you are my confidante, my biggest cheerleader, and that only person who sees a Champ in me even when the world whispers "Loser". As i continue this journey, With you by my side, I am confident that each upcoming page will be filled with love, growth, and shared adventures. I already cherish the chapters we are yet to write. Our love story, my favorite book.
??
XOXO
Truly yours.

Want everything firsthand

#Want_everything_first_hand
Wanna be the first to know and hear her say" i think I'm pregnant " , wanna be the one to buy the pregnancy test , wait with her for the 15 minutes and watch as the one line give birth to the 2nd line, wanna hold her hand and say " we are in this together"

Wanna be the first to notice the bump, starting to show, wanna be there when the moods and cravings kicks in, wanna love her even more when she'd be angry at me for no reason, when her body adjusts and rub her swelling legs, wanna be waken in the middle of the night to go and buy her juristic cravings

Wanna see and feel my child moving and kicking, the tiny legs prints on her mothers belly, wanna listen and touch my child while still wrapped inside her mothers gold womb, wanna be there in labour, holding my wife's hand and when she can't bear the pain anymore, wanna kiss her of her forehead and say" you can do it for us"

Wanna take turns to change diapers, warm the bottle, bath my child, wanna raise my child for me not how the media and the society dictates it should be, wanna make mistakes and learn from them, wanna be a father, not what and how religion and nature says it should be, wanna trim fatherhood to my own desire and make, wanna be the first, for it will be my first

Wanna be the first to hear my child say their first word, wanna be there to witness their first step, their first tooth, first chuckle, wanna be what my child's eyes sees when they start to see, want them to know the taste of my fingers, know the sound of my voice and know that I chose to be there and will always be there, that I chose to be a father, their father

Wanna drop my child at chrech in the mornings and fetch them in the afternoons, wanna see their first scribling, wanna be the fisrt to buy and fit them their first school uniform

Wanna take them to meet my mom and siblings and both brothers and sisters rascals, wanna take them to grannies and grandfather's graves to introduce them, wanna take them to meet my father and his brothers,
Want everything first hand, be a father, a friend, a confidante to my child, I want everything first hand

Poppy

“It is lonely to be born.” – Dannie Abse, “The Second Coming”

It is lonely to be born
between the intimate ears of corn . . .
the sunlit, flooded, shellshocked rows.

The scarecrow flutters, listens, knows . . .
Pale butterflies in staggering flight
ascend the gauntlet winds and light
before the scything harvester.

The winsome buds of cornflowers
prepare themselves to be airborne,
and it is lonely to be shorn,
decapitate, of eager life
so early in love’s blinding maze
of silks and tassels, goldened days
when life’s renewed, gone underground.

Sad confidante of worm and mound,
how little stands to be regained
of what is left.
A tiny cleft
now marks your birth, your reddening
among the amber waves. O, sing!

Another waits to be reborn
among bent thistle, down and thorn.
A hoofprint’s cleft, a ram’s curved horn
curled inward, turned against the heart,
a spoor like infamy. Depart.

You came too late, the signs are clear:
whose world this is, now watches, near.
There is no opiate for the heart.

For an hour
every wildflower
beseeches her,
"To thy breast,

But she is mine;
her lips divine
and her breasts and hair
are mine alone.

Let the wildflowers moan.

If Love Were Infinite
by Michael R. Burch

If love were infinite, how I would pity
our lives, which through long years’ exactitude
might seem a pleasant blur—one interlude
without prequel or sequel—wanly pretty,
the gentlest flame the heart might bring to bear
to tepid hearts too sure of love to flare.

If love were infinite, why would I linger
caressing your fine hair, lost in the thought
each auburn strand must shrivel with this finger,
and so in thrall to time be gently brought
to final realization: love, amazing,
must leave us ash for all our fiery blazing.

If flesh’s heat once led me straight to you,
love’s arrow’s burning mark must pierce me through.

Dedication To My Sister

My confidante, best friend…my Sister
You’ll never guess how much I’ve missed you
All throughout this past year
Many a time I’ve a shed a tear

Days when I just want you nearby
So upon your shoulder I can cry
Now once again we are together
I wish this week would go on forever

I love your smile and twinkling eyes
You brighten even the darkest skies
When you are here the puzzles complete
These are moments my memory will never delete

Memories of fun, family and sisterly love
Along with all the minor conflicts we rise above
A death stare…a cross word
Nothing will stop us from moving forward

Our love for each other is unconditional
Even though we butt heads and get a tad emotional
I could never contemplate holding a grudge against you
And I believe you feel the exact same way too

Staying mad at you is really quite hard
Cos your spontaneity catches me off guard
Your wonderful weirdness and crazy ways
Working you out is like conquering a maze

An abundance of talent and personality to boot
There are many reasons why, to you, I salute!
I look up to you for your strength inside
You shook off bad history, re-opening your arms again wide

Ready to embrace what life had planned
With your focus and drive, on your feet you did land
But it’s not all seriousness and work
Beyond this façade, your quirky side does lurk

This is the true you, who has us in hysterics
You’re funny and brilliant, there’s not a thing about you I’d fix
Your generosity towards your family is indescribable
A simple ‘Thank-you’ will never be suitable

You’ve given my daughter things I never could
You’ve done above and beyond what most Aunts’ would
I’ve been blessed to have a Sister like you
Not only a Sister…but a best friend too

There’s one part I hate about you arriving
Because no matter what…it leads to you leaving
So please promise me you’ll keep yourself safe and sound
Until this time next year comes back around.

Unrequited True Love, Part 2

So why does it end with the love lies?
Now once you got to Jr. High
People were cruel, it was hard to get by
Getting depressed in the circle of life
But now girls are better, more shapely now than then
You started getting excited when one made the slightest bend
It happened again and hit like softball
When a girl named Mason picked you for the team above them all
And the one day when you graded her paper
Pretended not to know her, and asked the teacher
And not too shabbily you made a new friend
And a new confidante to make laughs with sins
The Summer went by, you wanted to ask her out
But she moved away, strike three you’re out!
And maybe Betty, Jocelyn weren't anything to you
And Cindy Snow, Lola, Mason meant so much it’s true
You found yourself back in your self induced prison
Until Casey brought you out of your demons
She was a nice young thrill who’s looks could kill
Nothing could go wrong you thought, until it will
She was a young sporty type with her head in the game
And the only true thing you knew of her was her name
You slipped a note in her locker, putting feelings in honest
But never knew what could have been ‘cause you left it anonymous
And the feelings grew for two long years
Until It grew a life of its own that you always feared
Rejection, no question
It’s always been near
Just imaginations, delusions
Simply all too weird

And into the ride in your Sophomore year
You’re still all alone, everyone’s found their dears
And it pierces you like a thousand knives
Well not quite, 50 billion more like
It’s so sad because he’s perfect and there’s nothing you can do
You spent so much time worrying about something that wasn't true
You loved her too much that your friendship got stuck
Can’t love again, at least for a long time not

So let me ask you again, why do you feel?
That only unrequited love is the only love that’s real?
Maybe it’s just you but look at everyone else
Before you think about love, maybe you should love yourself

Sorry I'm Taken

To the heartbreakers, I declare with pride,
I'm taken, by a love that won't subside.
To those who doubted, my capacity to love,
I'm taken, by a heart that beats from above.

To those who looked down, with a critical eye,
I'm taken, by one who sees the real me, and loves me high.
To those who rejected, with a callous hand,
I'm taken, by one who accepts me, in this imperfect land.

I found the one, my prayers answered true,
The one I'll cherish, my heart beating anew.
She loves me for who I am, without condition or pride,
Despite my flaws, despite my struggles, she stands by my side.

She saw the real me, beyond the external frame,
And loved the essence, that makes me, me, without shame.
My poverty, my struggles, didn't deter her love,
She saw the beauty, in my imperfections, sent from above.

I've found my half-heart, my missing piece, my guiding star,
The one I miss every second, the one I'm incomplete without, near or far.
Sorry, I'm taken, by a love that's pure and true,
A love that heals, a love that renews.

I found my person, the one who loves only me,
The one who fights for my name, who sets my soul free.
She doesn't care about what others say,
She stands by me, through every trial, every day.

I'm taken, by an angel, sent from above,
A true lover, with a heart that's full of love.
She's my shelter, my safe haven, my home,
The one I'll cherish, the one I'll never roam.

In her arms, I find my peace, my solace, my rest,
The one place, where I'm loved, where I'm blessed.
She's my partner, my friend, my confidante, my guide,
The one who helps me, to navigate life's tide.

With her by my side, I feel complete,
A sense of belonging, a love that's unique.
We're two souls, connected at the heart,
A bond so strong, that will never depart.

Sorry, I'm taken, by a love that's real,
A love that's worth fighting for, a love that heals.
I'll cherish her, I'll love her, with all my might,
Forever and always, through day and night.

My Confidant...My Friend.

I think I was a happy child yet wish I had more joy
In things that mattered most to this little heart of mine.
An ear to listen to my woes and comfort me when sad
but this I did not get from my loving mom and dad.

As a child I could not speak of things that mattered most
Parents did not have time to talk nor share a child’s concerns.
My hopes and fears stayed bottled up in an over burdened heart
filled with questions I feared to ask.

At the tender age of six I found a lifelong friend
And every year since then I shared my thoughts with Him
He never turned his back on me nor lay a scolding hand.
I talked to Him in innocence blaming Him for everything.

Yet in many ways He showed He cared
though I don’t remember thanking Him
for the good days we shared
But I remember blaming him when I was sad or mad.

I talked about the way He let me suffer hurts in vain
friends should stick together I’d say..through thick and thin
I swore at Him if I stomped my toe or bruised my little knees
And since I could not hear His reply I’d utter words
 like these.

You know I am disappointed you let me down my friend
I thought you loved me too.
Why would you let a friend be hurt I wouldn’t do the same to you.
Yet despite all the cruel things I said He remained my
 steadfast friend.

He probably shook His head in wonder every time I swore
Or blamed Him, for not standing up for me a little more.
Did I but know that hardship was His way of making me
spiritually strong, ready to face whatever hardship came along.

He speaks to me with words and signs I cannot now ignore
The older I grow I understand His way even more.
He comforts me every day blessing me in many ways
Thank you God for being forever,
                                       my confidante … my friend.

MY FRIEND MY LOVE---

In worship and praise is where I found you;
You adorn the beautiful;
Not judgmental, you're an awesome view;
And in every true sense of the word
Your loyalty worth more than gold;

You're my friend, to the end
In the beginnings you were there
Not judgmental but you held me in regards
You're my friend, I contend
And you accepted my imperfections
When I was sad you were a clown
You turned my frown, around

Oh, wo oh oh oh oh and my friend you are my love
And so, oh so I'm forever grateful

In worship and praise is where I found you;
You adorn the beautiful;
Not judgmental, you're an awesome view;
And in every true sense of the word
Your loyalty worth more than gold;
Oh, and I thank the Lord my God that you are...
My friend my love

Oh, I thank the Lord that you are my friend, my friend and love
Just like Jesus you stick closer, closer ever so close (closer)

Than a brother
A friend someone whose got my back when thing are going WRONG in my life
A true friend who keeps their promises and makes you wanna keep yours
A friend is someone who neither leads nor follows, but walks with you
A true friend I know I've found you, you're a person whom one knows
whom has a bond of mutual affection towards me
I thank God for you a friend, now my lovely love
I thank you for being here, being dear my friend now
My intimate confidante, my friend, my love...

In worship and praise is where I found you;
You adorn the beautiful;
Not judgmental, you're an awesome view;
And in every true sense of the word
Your loyalty worth more than gold;

Oh, and I thank the Lord my God that you are...
My friend, My love

A Prayer For Those Who Have Found Love

I am grateful dear creator for this experience or rather the multitude of such we call life,
I accept you unconditionally, knowing that you have intimately and completely lived every moment of my existence from the beginning of time, every pleasure, every pain, every loss, and every gain. Every single wave upon my consciousness you have sailed with me, without prejudice.
And above all I am grateful for this special gift you have bestowed upon me, this someone who is unconditionally mine, like I am yours.
This journey of ups and downs, of discovery and loss would be so dreary and daunting without a companion, a confidante..
What words could possibly describe my overwhelming emotions for “this”? a companionship like the smell of rain on dry earth, the relief of shade on scorching sands, the sense of security and belonging a child feels in its mothers arms, the joy and ecstasy of having conquered all.
I thank you for this someone who is mine, for me, with me, someone who can accept me as I really am, someone who can comfort me, cuddle with me, confront and control me when the need arises, create with me, cure with me and thus complete me.
I pray and thus I will it so, that amidst the celebration of the union with my dearest which shall last till the existence of our being, may our journey be blessed with your grace, may it bring out the best in us.
May it illuminate the truth behind the sadder, darker and more difficult situations and let that truth enrich greatly the experience of every good moment that comes our way, thus making us stronger, wiser and more together.
May, we become what our destiny; your destiny intends us to be.
One,
Whole,
Unified,
Fulfilled,
Complete,
Content,
And at peace.
So be it. Amen. Tahthaastu.
