The Death Knell
(COVID-19)
Written: by Miracle Man
5-3-2020
The death knell that changed the game,
once under subjection, lives won’t be the same.
Change is constant, we must adapt to survive,
To some, change decreases, while others thrive.
Many may detest what each new day brings,
the landscape changes, making paupers of kings.
When change is gradual, most rethink, and cope,
but a pandemic is sudden and many lose hope.
For many businesses it’s been the omen of death,
for many individuals it’s stolen that last breath.
I pray for those lost jobs that may never return,
and for workers of prominence, I’m given concern.
But the actions of protesters I’ve grown to deplore,
while swarming the beaches they choose to ignore.
Some view this pandemic as a road to something free,
many hardened hearts feel, “it won’t affect me.”
Helplessness immobilizes yours truly,
I genuinely agitate
permanently lasting indelible impact deux
biological offspring unfairly bore brunt,
compliantly, complicity, and complimentary
I avidly, doggedly, instinctively helped create
subsequently, unintentionally, or willingly
unpleasantly affected as adults facilitate
learned behaviors to navigate
their respective independent lives
both managed to coordinate
transitioning as responsible adults
more successful than me -
I do congratulate
their separate feats, titillate
papa, who admires emotional growth,
though grievously despair
weaknesses invariably did inculcate
their once innocent selves did graduate
courtesy positive resources I dedicate
to other then myself, commiserate
as unwittingly tortured saturate
without knowing and implicate
thine guilty poor role model,
me - heartache afflicted with anguish,
especially younger offspring doth indicate
perhaps apathy, difficulty, paucity to equate
body/mind synergy, she doth habituate
herself with destructive behavior,
vicariously saddening me psyche
where alarm doth germinate
yet... particular influences I
awkwardly essentially, and
inadvertently now articulate
unsure if word choice (mine)
obscures soulful heartfelt
angst that doth resonate
oft time does afflict my existence
thousands of miles distant,
nonetheless doth percolate
reckon, reflect,
and reiterate pointlessly berate
to nobody in particular -
minus followers courtesy
various and sundry
digital poetry venues articulate
and doth interrogate,
fulminate, and futilely castigate
himself psychologically damaged goods
paternal legacy, their salad days
hoop fully mushrooming into great
and healthy women, where
every last trace of my
objectionable faults they eradicate,
cuz Shana thee mean more
than fine spun gold!
IN CONSIDERATION OF WHAT WAS NEGLECTED
WE FOUND WAYS THAT BESETS THE NESSECITY OF
OUR URGENCTACY AND NEED
THAT IT MIGHT LACK CONCERN FROM WORDS MENTIONING
WE WRITE TO MAKE SUCH THESE NEEDS APPARENT AND
KNOWN THAT THOSE IN THEIR RESPONSIBLITY AND POSITION
MIGHT BE MORE INCLIMANT TO FIND OUR NEED THEIR CONCERN.
THAT IT MIGHT NOT LACK DETAIL
THAT IT MIGHT NOT LACK PASSION
THAT IT'S NEED IS SEEN AS NESSECITY
AND SUCH YEARNINGS ARE CONSIDERED
IN HONEST AND EARNEST
OUR INATE DESIRE TO FEEL SECURED BY
ANWSERS OF OUR CONCERNS
THAT EACH RESPONSE MIGHT NOT
VALUE OUR ASKSAKE OR BE SEEN AS DEMAND
MIGHT EACH PERFECT SILENCE THE STRONGHOLD OF MYTHS
THAT MAKE ACHEIVMENT SEEM LESS LIKELY
THAT EACH WORDED ASKING IS SEEN AS COMPLIMENT
NOT INSULTING THE DIGNITY OF IT'S INTENT
THAT IT IS SEEN AS REAL, HONEST AND AUTHENTIC
THEN THAT WE ARE SUCCESSFUL
AND OUR QUERIES AREN'T MISGUIDED FOR US TO BELEIVE
AND FIND THEN TO DISBELIVE
Religion wrapped up with a bow
Sanitized, alphabetized, in
order all up in a row
No questions asked your belly
full your pockets overflow
Sieg heil, tow the party line
You'll be religion"s ho
Grab your pitchforks, torches
too we marching up the hill
The doctors in with body parts
and still attempts to build
In frenzy and with blood thirst
no mercy we'll extend
No matter what the truth is
we rally all the troops, and fight until the end
Just justify your actions
And say "God told me to"
For this will ease your conscience
And make your lie sound true
While the things that really
matter
Are lying unattended
To Mercy Grace or Humility
Your knee remains unbending
Your form of godliness has no
power God can see
But just hold another seminar
and make the topic . . .
me!
Stroke my pride fix my
marriage and my children too
Three easy steps become a
partner and then it's free for
you
But send your money in today
Or we're going off the air
But my book is free my teeth
are straight I got morning talk
show hair
Forget the sick forget the
hurting their sin is their own
fault
Let's just make sure we got our
steeples and stained glass
windows bought
We don't really want to touch
them for fear of their disease
But we do like our pews padded
and we do enjoy our ease
Because we know that God's
main concern is to make us all
feel good
And we 'll write another book
about it
When He don't act like we think
He should
And I'm sure when we stand
before Him
He'll pat our heads and say
Because you were religious
You made Me smile today
.
I think you see by now
This is not how it will be
For powerless religion is not
your destiny
And now you stand here gazing
Wondering what next I will say
Looking at hypocrisy
I bid you all good day
2nd Timothy 3:5
Girls nowadays are lazy
This generation is so crazy
Selling out their body, just because of money
Thinking it's fun, living like it's funny
They're living in a hurry, trying to please society
Living a cunning lifestyle
Thinking they're wise and fine, they're just bite and spit.
Boys nowadays are very desperate
Not determined or patient
They want to be on the top
Without having what it takes
Doing things that gives instant gratification
Making them live in stagnation
When things don't go their way
They start constituting nuisance in the nation.
Parents nowadays are nonchalant
Don't want to know the source
Of their children's income
Steady inputting pressure on you
When they see your mate
Doing better than you
Awaken the spirit of exploit
Instead of the spirit of creativity and productivity.
Our leaders nowadays are selfish
Their only concern, is their family
Steadily gathering generational wealth
While the nation is shapeless
Insecurities and joblessness everywhere
No infrastructure for growing the economy
Causing the nation to suffer from inflation.
Yam that got a permanent prick
Yam in contention with its harvest
Got it fat; removed with a flick
But diet is the concern of an agriculturalist
Consumer sees beyond
While naming its price
Got to examining its structure and bond
Which communicates enough raunchy
Yam that got a Chelsea buttock
Yam of false human attribute
A large buttock a stomach so paunchy
Rejected by no means a devise
Woman sees nothing
While peeling
Just to hurry
Not to make dinner goes well with sorry
Those yams grow in a fertile soil
With no or little toil
Such are in no time boiled
Better serve oiled
The pace setter
The home of agriculture
If i would ever be a bettor
Ibadan stands out in horticulture
The filaments of verbal expression of my father’s feelings
permanently persisted inarticulate between us,
accrued from considerate concern my father cultivated
throughout my growing years distraught in disarray.
He never said aloud what he thought, but just his look
spreading on me like the touch of his caring hands
assured me his silence was not mere negligence,
but a language of inherent interest in my future.
With passing years I learned to understand his silence
when in the eloquent stillness of his earnest eyes
I saw his demolished dreams quietly revive
to carve a garden path for me he couldn’t walk.
Hope was a beacon he always kept flashing for me,
ensuring to light up the course of my life in dark times.
Reassured, I took the journey to reach where I’m today.
Seeing what I’ve achieved I hope he’d be happy in heaven.
Being a father now I realize the essence of fatherly aspiration
is to become happily obsolete at the edge of time
when the son doesn’t need his protection any more.
The father’s silence then turns into profound peace.
As I walk the last mile, down the memory lane
I see across the sands of time fading in the twilight zone
his fossil footprints sculpted beside mine.
I yearn to hold his invisible hand to take me where he is now.
-Volume XXMMCCIII THE SOUND SHEET Article XX-313
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Sounds of Songs ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The soul of a song might mean that it endurance is unchanged with the times, soulful might mean more bass and groove oriented.
Blueing a song might mean it has a lesser chance of being popular due to it's content.
Rock and roll might mean that it's harder, or stronger beat.
Taking a chance on doing something that isn't very popular and making it a center peice with concern to it's audience, allows a song to be accepted more over than a soft sounding fill in type piece. A great tune is just that a ditty that sounds great and makes since. Sometime putting two people together means finding away to make the lyrics make since. The soul of a song has know thing to do with anyone. The trill of doing the whole ruutine from gathering the people you want. Creating the sound. Writing the lyrics. Gathering the stories, Mixing and remixing the sounds and finding an audeince, and entertaining that audeince within the meme's the song creates. Music is a powerful expression. It is also thematic it can be used, and using it can cause people to talk and dance and just lay back and relax. I love music and wish that people the world abroad could love the music I create. Change the lyrics to fit into your script. Just love the song the sound the musicains , the lyrics aand the singers. The concert is the greatest expression of togetherness in song apprecation. Give it a chance,( concerts) you might just like it. Or better yet you might just love it!
Thank Ya'll for letting me Inspire Your Musicail Geniue.
Cantar the Songperson
Remember that I have loved you,
When you remember me;
Though at times I must admit,
We did not agree.
Life is a mixture of experience,
Some good, some not so much.
It's what we choose to learn from it,
That gives the added touch.
The added touch of mystery,
The added touch of fun,
The thing that makes life worth it,
When all is said and done.
You have been that thing for me,
That gave my life that lift.
You've been my source of added strength.
You have been my gift.
Wherever life may take you,
Wherever you may go,
Whatever life may bring you,
One thing you must know.
I have always loved you.
Remember that I cared.
Remember though I made mistakes,
I still held you dear;
And you were always in my heart,
Your welfare my concern,
And though I tried with all my might,
I thought you'd never learn,
That I have always loved you,
And I always will,
Though sometimes our paths will part,
My love will hold you still.
Life is like a harvest time.
What we sow we reap.
We let the straw fall to the ground,
And the grain we keep.
I passed a poor man
With holes in his jeans
By the looks of him he'd spent
Most of his life in need
I said excuse me sir
Can I get you anything
He said son I got it all
Cause I believe
You see the holes in these jeans I've earned
On bended knees
They're not from work alone
They're also from my pleas
This life that I live is not what I chose
But fate as a whole
Is much less known
So I see them as lessons in life
These holes in my jeans
What you see on the outside
Isn't what lies within
And it's time that this crazy old world
Knows that He's paid for our sins
Your money means nothing to me
Cause I'm already saved
And The little bit that I own
Is more than I'll take to my grave
You see the holes in these jeans I've earned
On bended knees
They're not from work alone
They're mostly from my pleas
This life that I live is not what I chose
But fate as a whole
Is much less known
So I see them as lessons in life
These holes in my jeans
Sir I thank you for your concern
But I'll be just fine
These jeans helped redeem me
And meet the divine
They're ripped and they're torn
Just be forewarned
He paid for it all with a crown of thorns
I won't judge you if you say no to
These holes in my jeans
I'm still living above my means
With these holes in my jeans
