DICK, you think yourself fearless
Protected by your screen
Shaming and blaming ,being hurtful
So brave and bold when unseen
Now DICK ,its obvious you don’t refrain
From spewing out uneducated remarks
Maybe that’s all you know
And ignorance is embedded in your brain
Your behaviour presents in a few ways
Via comments , poems and one liners
Abundant with insults and sarcasm
Lacking compassion or praise
DICK ,it’s apparent you think you are clever
Viewing the rest of us as quite thick
But the truth is really quite simple
You are no clever DICK!
No doubt you consider yourself special
Unique , one of a kind
However, there are so many other DICKS like you
Simply Ignorant and blind
DICK ,I do not understand you
I will never know your reasons why
Why not step out of your comfort zone
And give compassion a try
DICK, there is something important I need to say
Regarding your vicious remarks
Can you please stop doing handstands?
And talking out your a..e!!!
One's poetic ability, yea willingness, to speak
Truth.
To stand, soul-naked, as it were...
Whilst your poet enemies stone you or avoid
you in the online public square.
To swim with the sharks, though thou
might be their delicious repast.
To be be happily avoided because you
don't follow the crowd.
You won't bow and scrape and sell your
soul nor your country out, no how!
In this battlefield of ideas, the small of
mind will shame you.
Brandish your sword of courage,in full
view!
A stalwart poem with three hundred reads and
comments, but two?
Shows that popularity trumps truth here,
So much so, I want to permanently vanish!
Or have 38,000 poets here to the famed,
"isle of Denial" be heretofore, banished!

Undetectable fraud,
Unenviable tasks,
Unfathomable crimes.
Ungrateful children,
Unhelpful comments,
Unintentional consequences.
Unjustified dismissal,
Unkind acts,
Unlimited credit.
Unmentionable briefs,
Unnecessary accompaniments.
Unopened mail.
Unpronounceable words,
Unquestionable loyalty,
Unreasonable requests.
Unseasonal weather,
Untroubled teenager's,
Unusual behavior.
Unverified reports,
Unwanted attention,
Un-x-rayed patient.
Unyielding bolt,
Un-zesty pizza,
For unproductive people, uninterested in undivided attention.

Milton, you came to soup like a blazing star across the sky,
not that long ago in reality and you blessed us with your light;
you shone like the most dazzling star in the darkness.
Milt, you touched souls with your gentle and kind comments,
with encouragement and became a beloved friend to so many;
you were my poetic friend and you always replied back to me,
your Kentucky friend- in your last poem you wrote Bye-Bye Don't Cry!
But, Milt I have been weeping tons since I heard the news of your death!
Did you hear God calling your name?
Did you take hold of his hand?
Then, like a blazing star across the sky you left us forever,
I will never forget you, L Milton Hankins. Rest in Peace friend.

Tweeting the Truth in Love

We should be “speaking the truth in love,”*
posted Paul in Ephesians 4:15,
to speak and act out truth while filled
with self-sacrificial, unconditional love.
Not too-tough truth without compassion.
Not laissez-faire love without correction.
Certainly not rude comments
left on social media,
hidden from responsibility
by anonymity.
Certainly not tweeting lies with contempt,
insulting others with childish nicknames,
repeating falsehoods already debunked,
or disseminating self-serving distortions.
Paul didn’t excuse behavior so deplorable.
Why do so now?

And I’ll sail forever
My ocean of mischief
A sea of comfort
My hymn of peace
Love comes with in the drift
My heart tears from the rift
Life my burden to hold
Above my shoulders in lift
And I’ll sail forever
The moments
that flatter our cheeks
A child, A fleet
Of inspiring smiles
Our happiness our triumph
The displeasure in vows
My judgment in trials
An episode relaxed
Racing for miles
Who’s to tell me
I cannot sail
Toward which wind wanders
I am but a sun lit rise
Growing ale
Most prisoners ask for freedom
Letters of ordinary tales
Photographs and mail
But I think
I will forever sail
I thank you for your comments
I acknowledge them, I walk on
In search of wonders
Stress free, a place to belong
Don’t you wish you were home
I’m writing for pictures
An image clear
Yet no one sees
Then again who am I to be
I’m only running with the sea
I take delight in the wonder of your pen
You pull the reader in with every stroke
And take us on an amazing journey
You are the maestro of love and romance
By capturing the real essence of love
You have the ability to make us feel what you write
Whether you are serenading your lady love
Or just painting a beautiful picture, we feel that too
Because you have a wonderful imagination
And it causes us to be bold and dream again
You are the ambassador of dreams
Your “Good Mornings and Goodnights” are a delight
They make us smile inside out
Your comments are always “golden” and uplifting
They are encouraging and make us all feel so special
