There was plenty daylight
Money was tight
Time to head into the woods
Doing what they should
Travelling with military balls
Gunners had to make the calls
Hunt down the wolves, that was all
They were taunting the law
Before a break
A shot they did take
Successful goal it did make
Everyone took a rest
Wolves wandering around asking “Am I a mess?”
Keeping quiet for another half
Arsenal sent another message down nature’s path
“You have nothing and are through,
Doesn’t come close to our two”
Marching back to civilization
Thoughts the army started raisin
“If we are in the top four
We will have more matches to score”
As the lights appear in sight
Still proud on how they did fight
But there was a small plight
Personal economics issues that may not be all right
“In all this success
Do we put the Royals to a test?
They did not mention
Anything about our pension
Should we bring that to the crown’s attention?”
When they finally got home
Under the darkness dome
All alone
Gunners heard the news
About the financial dues
Chelsea shut up the buzz that was stirring
Claiming pensions were theirs, stop the worrying
“We will be the ones to represent
In the extra games EPL asks us to present,”
Saying this until blue in the face
Building a winning case
Arsenal forges on
Very calm
Pulling cannons that targets their championship bombs
Chelsea was supposed to be on top
At the half time stop
But it was M U
That got one through
One nil
As everyone left their seats for a fill
Hopefully it will change for pensioners in blue
Since the score could not be true
All Chelsea needed is one goal here and one goal there
Nothing much to be scared
Chelsea started to show their offenses
In order that the public could win some pences
It didn’t take long for one to go in
But the Red Devil’s complained there was a sin
Chelsea was playing too aggressive
With the yellow card sent as a message
A foul was called and created a stall
They went to video review
And the home crowd booed.
No goal so cold
A few minutes later Manchester United used their head
Another goal enough said
Two nil and big blue were headed for a big spill
Chelsea had no subs in the tank
And MU surely were on their way to the bank
With the hour getting late
There was a glimmer of light on the Monday night date
From The bird’s eye view the ball knew exactly what to do
But the video stepped in
And said ‘offsides another Chelsea sin’
In this match that seemed stolen
Since it was one that Chelsea should phone in
Back home Manchester U will go
Thinking about if this was just a nice stop in a football touring show
Manchester won this fight
Underneath Stamford bridge on this giving night.
Hail to Manchester United the victor
Who won the match by making Chelsea bicker
The Artist: The Later Years
by Edmund Siejka
(companion piece to The Artist published March 28, 2013)
He hadn’t sold anything
In a long time
Arms crossed
He scrutinized the paintings
Displayed in the
Most modern of modern Chelsea galleries.
Behind him
A small group of artists
Discussed art
Glasses of wine held subtly in their animated hands
He nodded
Only one in the group
Nodded back.
Something bothered him
Pressing down on his shoulders
It was then he left
As quietly as he came.
Walking downtown
Collar up
The wind whipped through his jacket
At 8th Avenue
Along a row
Of cheap buildings
Off 14th Street
He found a coffee shop
Not wanting coffee he walked in anyway
Hoping that since he didn’t know anyone
He would be in a public place
But would have all the privacy he needed.
Sitting at the counter
He felt someone touching his shoulder
He turned
To face a Kid
In his early twenties
Tall
Brown hair
Even features
Good bone structure
Curious eyes
Strong hands
Paint splattered jeans.
Are you an artist? The Kid asked
He was tempted to tell the Kid to go out and play in traffic
But the honesty in the voice
Was convincing
“I thought so” the Kid said
The Times did a retro on artists of the 70’s”
The Kid looked closer
“Except for the white hair you haven’t changed that much
In my art class they still mention you”.
There was something bold
Yet real about the Kid
Grabbing a corner booth
They discussed art
He giving pointers
About the New York art scene.
Returning home
The Artist passed under the Dome of St. George
Strong and defiant in the afternoon sun
Taking a deep breathe
He went upstairs to his studio slash apartment
There was an empty canvas
Waiting
A north light
Beckoned
Holding brushes in his hand
He was an artist once again.
A meeting was held
Buzz was getting ready to tell
Information that were facts
Making people pack
Since they got sacked
When the canary entered the hive
Already dungeon arrested in his dive
Worker bees acknowledged he arrived
Walking strong
Knowing something was wrong
Making a point
Very early in the hornets joint
“If I am leaving this rank
This canary still has money in the bank”
With a beat tea eye
Taunted hornet accepted the goodbye
Then using a stringer
He unleashed two that were stingers
Confirming being level
With honey casted as the west ham devil
Distancing themselves
On the table shelves
From Mr. Bourne’s mouth and his cherries
Already buried
Next to Aston’s Villa
Who still a
Small chance
For the Claret and Blue Army to advance
Another civil dialogue was taking place
Royals in the crystal palace reality ready to face
Pensioners pleaded their case
Scoring quickly two like in a race
Needing some grace
Royals took a shot
That was hot
An explanation
About this situation
“Will all going to get fried”
King Glazier did cry
Then a little later
Financial records were offered as a trader
Queen Eagle did some addressing
Adding two goals calling it window dressing
Feeling they will find a way
To pass the elite grade
Top four Chelsea will stay
Being a representative in more matches and getting paid
Be the beauty that dwell to spread,
For all to share colorful moments.
Be the cheers that spring to yield,
Good laughter to birth inner peace.
Let crudeness not teach beauty's value,
Like darkness preaches light's worth.
Let melancholy not bury cheers' birth,
Like sunlight helps seeds germinate anew.
May all you crave for not be like shadow,
Unto your table as the daily bread.
May the blessings that will be bestow
On you, be the ones you really need.
This day of the year; many happy return,
Shall accompany you in His presence.
Through days and nights commitments,
Which shall make you enjoy great upturn.
Congratulations on this day, dear brother
Your wish is not meant to make you bother
Best wishes on this day. Oh grace!
Define redress power to foster pace
You're the best with kindest regards.
Make the best out logistically
And like Bayern, play your cards,
Projecting unique docket optimistically.
Up Chelsea with trophy parade in town
Lolz! Down Arsenal with a useless crown
Timileyin, that's for every diehard blue fan
Who ends up with excuse of the ban.
Winks!
Will other keep to curse their own lot
Believing their lives were in vain
Or it is beautiful and precious of its rot
Why then did they fight to aim for gain?
This is a shear pain and true misery,
Quick revelation of pretty mystery!
Like how poor Arsenal has been of recent
That Chelsea has assurance of a cool win
With a nice atmosphere play really descent
Is it not that they are drunk of pure gin?
May be, and if not, the penalty would be a goal
Probably his leg is not really whole
I could see, In fact the pressure was high
Lampard couldn't help himself pondering
To sub brings a lot of inward and outward sigh
And his thoughts on the open field keep wandering
I asked if he's actually scare
Or has given up on trying to dare?
The morale was high at a point
When Abraham put one back
It really changed their viewpoint
That they began to shout and attack
Some even said "It will end a draw"
With such gut that displays their jaw
But I saw the opaque scales fall
In terror did I skipped the Genesis
Of their hope standing tall
Which bid farewell to their nemesis
Once upon my eyes, I read lips shut
Running their hope and its glut
I lifted up my shaking heart
I know you heard some of my mind's say
This was more than literary fancy writ of art
Though terror struck, boys did not fall back today
No longer was I acting, I'd never played this part
Still we keep our distance on the chart
It was of great pleasure filled with fun
I think Arsenal achieved the utmost goal
The deed is outstandingly done
Saved a lost and dying fan soul
Now eyes on him, Arteta, he finally turns around
The fortune of a legendary club abound!
(prior to tha ode dee us political stink sans hillary rodham clinton, i scrawled out this poem. her likelihood to grasp to political mantle than considerably greater than fourteen months when another official will help keep america safe and sound from cares and concerns of an uncertain future).

Bill leave me
Hugh will cause a beloved howel
From him – the divine necromancer with magic dowel
If ambition stirs thee to make presidential bid for we Chelsea
Reverberating throughout terrestrial bowel
Analogous to former reigning supreme ringleader Muhammad Ali!
As an obedient student who crossed his t’s and affixed every “I” with a dot
Although high letter grades this older papa never got
(Undiagnosed anxiety inducing pressure cooker symptoms made me hot)
I recognize brilliance, and thus would immediately cast my lot
From the current secretary of state whose political skills right on spot!
One year hence, this democrat will cast his vote
Without doubt maintaining his party line
No matter campaigners with republican huzzahs will tote
Unable to change opinion of mine
Praying that economic maelstrom she can brazenly smote
If necessary seeking oracle of Delphi for a positive sign
Or devising my own catchy slogan to quote
Common as this generic human dust mote
Whose esprit de corps would to the stratosphere float
Like some over inflated helium filled ballooning goat
Kidding nobody that view from on high depicts sinking American boat!
Please take to heart
From this fellow (among ship of fools)
Who decries special interest groups sway to sabotage and up-end donkey cart
With extreme elephantiasis haunting white house with ghouls
With penchant to undermine sacred constitution with graffiti art!
This Joe schmoe of a lame duck nada so soup per poet
(who idolizes billy eve able applications of a cigar re: monica lewinsky)
would be in awe
And inwardly hee-haw
If this poem affected your name to be on ballot garnering cheers from this paw
And knows that in those random polls made of straw
The former forty second first lady gaga to engender revolutionary thaw!

Blue superstar in the making,

Mason mounting ontop my muse.

Chelsea FC Takes Abramovich's Fall
Europe is responsible for the war,
not CFC...who is taking the fall.
US played the devil's advocate de facto,
Putin turn deaf hears, no word from NATO.
Perpetual and cruel hatred longering,
UK government shy from stopping the warmongering
Saudi government from owning Newcastle.
CFC sanctioned at the slightest chance without hassle
and employees suffer another man's sanctions.
Who's responsible for these calamitous situations?
Who's coming after Putin in this debacle we all see?
Cowards will rather attack the fatherless CFC
Double-standard and sheer hypocrisy
Only highlights United Kingdoms' enemity.
Innocent staffs can't fathom the enormity
of the sanctions backed by stern actions,
melted daily by the government organizations
No one to save the innocent Chelsea,
Not Bates, not Roman, not the NHS nor Halsey
abandoned by father Roman who is on the run,
forcing the father to disown his own son,
leaving the Blues feeling blue,
and looking a shadow of themselves like a lone fool.
Europe is responsible for the war, not CFC.
Hope this is all father justice sees.

There’s a gingerbread contest each year
Where iconic New York scenes appear.
It’s impressive to see,
With each prize nominee,
How creative folks are around here.
First the Statue of Liberty sat
And the Brooklyn Bridge right after that,
Plus the Chelsea Hotel,
Chrysler Building as well,
All within the New York habitat.
Still, my favorite creation by far
Had no building, no bridge, boat or car,
But a real breakfast treat
Most New Yorkers might eat
Which, to me, in this show, was the star.
‘Twas a take-out container of joe,
Which the locals call “cawfee,” you know,
Plus a cream-cheese filled bagel
Someone did finagle
From gingerbread, just for the show.
I don’t know if it won the first prize,
But it brought much delight to my eyes,
So hats off, Juliet,*
For I’m sure, I would bet,
From your project much joy did arise.
