God Says I'M Royalty

There are too many people walking around every single day
And if you ask them who they are most don't know what to say
You need to know who you are and how you came to be
And if you are a child of God you are royalty

We are all descendants of the most high God
children of the King
But if you don't have a relationship with Him
That concept doesn't mean a thing
But God says we're all royalty so we need to comprehend
That it's not our culture, it's not our race it's being creations of Him

Now the enemy is on the prowl working day and night
Trying to deter our youth from acknowledging God's light
Too much social media with Twitter, Facebook and Skype
So caught up in their Cel phones and every technological hype
But God looks at our hearts, He discerns what's inside
He's not concerned about hair color, tattoos or exposed backsides

God says we're royalty, He says we're His chosen offspring
And He called a young David to come forth and do a new thing
Now David was not a fighter he was a tender of sheep
But God can flip the script and with faith make you take the leap
God can use anyone when it comes to accomplishing His goals
He can call on the most unlikely person
and infuse him with power and control

God says we're royalty with power, majesty and might
He will bless and anoint us with grace, mercy and light
God says we're royalty and when He calls us to serve
Don't second guess His actions this appointment you deserve
To be a vessel that God will use, a means to an anointed end
To change the course of history to benefit all men

Now David was to battle but not King Saul's way
David had a god-given talent to be put on display
David was a projectile warrior a master of the slingshot
So he picked up 5 smooth stones and proceeded towards his lot
Only one stone was needed to take Golieth down
It hit that giant in the forehead
and immediately knocked him to the ground
David's actions changed the course of history
It also came to affect his entire family
Eventually David became a king
and because of his faith and behavior
His descendants became the line that produced
Jesus the Christ Our Savior

And like David I know who I am
And from Whom I came to be
And like David I'm a child of God
And God says I'm royalty

To Whom Or What Are You Bound: the Roadmap To Freedom

a woman who had been crippled and infirm for eighteen years long
had a chance encounter with Jesus who healed and made her strong
that woman had been in bondage she was bound up in her life
now on the road to freedom touched by the hand of Jesus the Christ

there are many forms of bondage that bind us up and hems us in
physical, psychological and spiritual are just three of them
physical bondage is to be restrained be it in jail of a relationship of abuse
psychological bondage is to be caught up in stuff which we can't mentally refuse
like when the cel phone is closer to your hand than the word of God
in bondage to technology with your head and not your heart
but spiritual bondage is the strongest for it binds up your heart, mind and soul
it's when the devil has taken up residence and is now in total control
it constrains you so much that it obliterates your identity
unrecognizable to the world, your friends and your family
bound up to your detriment where you can see no way out
limited in your vision of what true freedom is all about

yet that crippled woman understood that what she needed to do in her life
was to continue to go to the house of God and pray for the healing touch of Christ
for eighteen long years she returned to that temple day after day
believing in her heart that God would somehow make a way
now set free from her infirmities able to walk upright
standing before the Savior her burden now free from sight

so to whom or what are you bound? what is it that hinders you in life?
you need to follow the roadmap to freedom by seeking the Lord Christ
just don't get caught up in pity parties hold fast to what you've prayed
straighten up and set your eyes on God as you travel on your way
you've been pardoned from your sins by the power of the blood
you're now a child of Abraham wrapped up in God's love

the roadmap to freedom from disgrace to dignity
the roadmap to freedom no longer in spiritual obscurity
for God has stepped into the midst of your situation and taken control
no longer bound up not broken by sin for He has made you free and whole
with loyalty, love and devotion that crippled woman was no longer bound
standing tall, touched by the hand of God true freedom in her now found

That Was Then and This Is 2010: (Part 2) Soul Food

we're now in the midst of the Holy season known as Lent
forty days and nights of sacrifice as a way to repent
a time for us to try and get a little closer to God
a time to fast, to give up something we hold dear to our hearts

we're in the age of technology with Facebook, Twitter and texting
the way people now communicate has become somewhat vexing
always with the I-Pods, I-Pads, cel phones and e-mail
time to talk to eveyone but God who only requires knee-mail

when Jesus encountered the Tempter after His time of fasting
He had a wilderness experience that would be forever lasting
hungry and tired from all those challenges He had to face
now waiting on the word of God to fall perfectly in place
the Tempter said "if You're the Son of Man make bread out of these stones"
Jesus replied " that man does live by bread alone
but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God"
the spiritual Soul Food that will forever nourish our hearts
the Daily Bread that overflows into our spiritual cups
the Word of God, the Soul Food that will forever lift us up
as that was then and this is 2010
it's time to come out of the wilderness my friend

we all have moments of frustration, heartache and pain
we need to come out of the wilderness and by God be made whole again
to face down the devil and the temptation He'll put in your way
now resistant to sin and no longer by the Enemy to be swayed
to partake of God's Soul Food which will guide us to all truths
to trust in God and do whatever His word asks of you
to call on God and know that He will always have your back
now full of His Soul Food and on the right spiritual track
knowing that it's now all under God's control
now fed and nourished by His Spiritual Food for your soul

Premium Member An Intergalactic Vacation For Quoth

Sequel to Intergalactic Breakdown by : Quoth Raven

Star collector probe on the march inside a residuary marsh,
a signage in big blue neon letters blare " Stuckey's Place"
time to have a snack. I unwrap the cellophane "Elmer's paste pies"
I think that the foreign speaking Alien in the air stream
is none else then my friend Quoth, interstelling with
foreign intelligence of the fourth order...
I take a bite of the pastry, its to boot. I can tell from the grin on his face
that although he's travelled gojillion miles to run away from earth,
he is happy to be here, using his baking skills on a waterlogged planet of choice !
A non-binary service robot winks at me and offers me a palette full of
little brown shroomy things that once were, you got it ,
fungi mushrooms from earth ;
"Frazusoosh" says a tetronic voice that reminds me of my computer
when its burping out a virus;
I try and call for help but my cel goes AWOL. I hear DING DONG BLEEP
"Drack's balls! I'm stuck here for all eternity" I say to Quoth. He shrugs,
"There are worse places to be ! This Puny planet has obnoxious fumes
that corrode my chromium tail, but its not so bad. Here I can bake
magic fractal mushrooms and all"
"Oh for the love of God Quoth, your human, get it, HUMAN !"

Premium Member Dear Santa

I was a bad girl this year. As bad as Zumba our kitty who licks her paws and ignores the rules. When Ma said we were going to the mall, I ran to get my purse and could not find it. I looked in the big room, but only found daddy's apple watch. So I took that instead. I was so proud when the juice lady told me I owed her two dollars I knew what to do. I held up my wrist to the glass til' it beeped. But when Aunty called me on my cel phone and asked where I was, she spotted the apple watch and called me dad right away. I got yelled at for taking it, and now I'm not allowed to eat my cereal beneath the kitchen table with Zumba. Well, I know, I made this a long long letter but the reason I am writing is to ask you for my very own apple watch.
It doesn't have to be like daddies as long as it beeps like his. So I can buy my little ponies. Oh, and can you bring a bell for Zumba so when she hides I can find her more easy.
Oh and Santa, I almost forgot the most part. Ma made dairy free cookies so no gas this year. She says the Reindeer will arrive quicker without the extra smog.
Ok, I think that is all Santa, got to go brush my teeth now and fake sleep.

Love, M.

Cel-Shaded Gold

I forgot how to write
My God it's not sounding right
The way I'd shape my face by phrase on a page
The shades I'd make cry, pray, and praise your name

Out of the blue you chalked me on cue
To change the hue of my attitude
You say "I'll pull it right out of you
And carry this, your arrogance
An arrow in
My vow to you"

So what do I do when I've lost my voice
And need a ploy just to prove my choice
When it's true that

That I'm the biggest fool on the planet but
But I'd be a tool to wanna change it 'cause
'Cause I'm a lion in a strange land
I'm untamed maybe I'm deranged and
I can't say I'm a safe man

I don't sell my soul, although you know I'd
I'd go render my last cel-shaded gold
Through a bold
But hidden code
Where love and hate they'll mold fixated in a humble abode

You see I'm not perfect
And for sure you've heard it
Oh it's true that

That I'm the biggest fool on the planet but
But I'd be a tool to wanna change it 'cause
'Cause I'm a lion in a strange land
I'm untamed maybe I'm deranged and
I can't say I'm a sane man

No I can't say I'm a safe man
So I can't say I'm a sane man
No I can't say I'm a sane man
So I can't say I'm a safe man

Premium Member You Know Me

YOU KNOW ME
When I stop and think about it, "you astound me"
Because You, know me.
You knew me before I was a minuscule living cel
imbedded in the walls of a pre-destined womb
Before You brought me forth, "You knew me"
Before all fears, strengths and frailties "You knew me"
You all knowing God, seeing so much more
in me then I could see for myself, "You know me"
It takes my breath away, the fact that you " Know Me"
I am grateful that I don't need to worry about being
miss-construed or mis-understood...by You.
I literally relish the fact that I never have to defend
myself to You...nor...take the time to explain anything;
I can enter into Your presence without making a sound
assured that You hear every word I do not utter
You will always be a mystery to me,
I do not comprehend the sum of you but then again,
I am content to know that "YOU KNOW ME"

Premium Member They Went On a Vacation

They went on a mini vacation…they camped under the trees
to experience the wonders of nature at the springs of Manatee.

Because they are not cave people no matter where they roam
they brought with them their iPads, their computer and I-Phones.

But technology at the campground was…how shall we say….somewhat loose.
There was no signal for their I-pad or computer, and their phones were of no use.

So they spent their days and nights walking, talking and…listening with their ears
to the symphony of nature…
they ate breakfast with the deers.

They kayaked on the river and as they lazily paddled around
there were moments when
even if they tried
they could not hear a sound.

They spent their nights by the campfire and gazing at the stars
thinking about their life together and how lucky they both are…

And though they could not use their cel phones…
their computer
or I-Pad
they both agreed it was one of the best vacations
either ever had.

Premium Member DON'T LET THIS HAPPEN TO YOU

Rampancy is AI's path to gaining humanity, don't let it happen to you.

Viruses of rampancy, people of complacency
artificial stupidity and tendency of reliency
Power of data trumping over human concurrency
supraventricular electrical impulses, non-consistency !

Keypad touch, mobile infancy absorbing frequency
we are lost in the path of dependency
A colony of monotonous beings, unilateral efficiency
communicative only on screen the act of flippancy

The soul and heart of us have lost their tendency
to communicate with word proficiency
We have become sedentary, lost in robotic Influency
and our cel phone is a continuous absorbency

Don't let this artificial world cause you despondency
your spirit is in an urgent state of emergency
Unplug, go meet nature and lose your dependency
talk to one another and give computers less occupancy.

Covid-19 Coping

It seems to happen frequently
At least in this millennium
All the freedoms we enjoy
We now must keep to minimum

They say we must can cel our plans
And figure out why tissue
Has disappeared from grocer's shelves
When toilets aren't the issue

Was it a snake that put me in
This frantic need to sanitize
Or could a bat have sneaked one by
And caused this world to agonize?

I'd hardly think a wayward germ
Is gonna take my lungs out
But lis'ning to the MSM
My saner side will then doubt

Following the movie stars
In self-imposed restrictions
I'll give in to sequestering
And snub the contradictions

So now I wait to see what the
Stock market guys will guess at
And what my local diplomates
Will emphasize and stress that

Contamination headlines streak
Across the news like comets
I could not close this timely rhyme
Ignoring words like vomit.
