Premium Member Her Worth

There is nothing on earth like a mother.
No one compares to her worth.
None have done more for mankind,
Than mothers, who loved us from birth.

Who matches her steadfast devotion?
When all others flee, who remains?
Who picks up our lives and attends us?
Who rocked all our worries away?

No physician has healed more hurts
Or given more comfort or care;
Has tended to body and spirit,
Than mother, whose touch was there.

No judge has calmed more conflicts
Or settled more cases on earth,
Than mother who daily stood with us,
Always defending our worth.

No preacher has whispered more prayers
Or poured out more tears to the Lord,
Than mothers, before we were born:
Began lifting us up evermore.

No role that I know can eclipse this;
Save Jesus my Lord who before her,
Gave Himself, full surrender like mothers
Oh the crowns upon these He’ll confer!

Thank God for the worth of a mother,
Unsung heroes who “make” our world.
All of heaven knows what many miss:
There is nothing on earth like a mother.

Tamam Shud

“Tamam Shud”

Handsome comes
as handsome goes

forgotten
not missed

lies waiting
intestate

a code
undeciphered

Mystery in the end -
far more interesting

answers calling
something whispers:

"Death -
open gate ...

Come in"

from which,
the piece of paper was torn -
the works of a 12th century poet -
and on the inside cover
found some sort of code,
and a local telephone number."

5. Tamam Shud / translate.

"In Persian "tamam" is a noun that simply means "the end" and it can also be used in the sense when something is finished or completed. The "shud" bit on the end is an auxiliary verb that puts it into the past tense, so "tamam shud" means "ended" or "finished".

Premium Member How Many Stars In the Nighttime Sky

How many stars are in the nighttime sky
Millions, billions, trillions, gazillions?
Like my love for you my dearest soul
The answer in both cases is infinite
There are no boundaries
Since this old world began
No greater love has ever existed
One day, the world will know
Ours will be right up there among
The greatest love stories ever told
But we're not looking for fame or fortune
As long as we can express our love to each other
My dearest one, our love will survive
Our love will flourish
I wish there were other words
Words never before uttered
To describe how I feel, how I melt at your touch
How my whole world revolves around you
Until these words are added to Webster's
I will simply say, “I love you!”

POWER IN THE TONGUE

POWER IN THE TONGUE

Words once spoken, have a life of their own
Quoted, or misquoted, perhaps written down
Emotion likely launched them from inception
Or a cold logical reasoning, in far fewer cases
Yet so rarely can erase their distinctive traces
But are measured in kind, by their reception
Sometimes just discarded like a broken crown
Especially when they suggest an empty throne

Yet there is an intrinsic power in the tongue
When words, if poorly chosen, cause offence
Even a quick recovery from a bumpy landing
And resonate with their own sort of rhythm
Whether they do accidentally cause a schism
But also, when summoning an understanding
As their true mission is to always make sense
From which layers of meaning can be wrung

Wrongfully Imprisoned

We went to a prison many years ago,
Prisoners were everywhere looking sad I saw,
I met a man but I forgot his name,
One friend introduced me to him.

His case was attempted rape,
In a faraway land he was not safe,
Coz’ nobody believed in his story,
Language barrier he felt so sorry.

The police sensationalized the case,
The parents want him to put in a life sentence,
Even with valid and strong evidences,
they want three million for their daughter's sake.

The witnesses explained the incidents truthfully,
The family of the accused prayed hopefully,
Lawyers said nothing to be afraid nothing to worry,
But after three months of waiting the court said he was guilty.

It’s like a bomb the hits the man on that day,
He asked himself.. where is GOD to protect him anyway?
His emotions and his mind was in deep misery.
He looked around to everyone and cried wearily.

This was the result if you were not in your own country,
They can twisted evidences and labelled you deceitful,
Many cases like this everywhere and around the world,
They are the victims and wrongfully imprisoned.

How can we achieved justice in this situation?
If your world end up in a square empty room?
Great loneliness and the feeling of being abandon.
Maybe just wait for a miracle, a royal pardon soon?

Sham Cum Shame

They say the virus does not exist. Why?
our leaders politicize its mortality
profiteers make it a minted and crispy business
rumour mongers carry myths of it across the Nile
and the poor are to isolate at home in the safety of hunger and taste!

Too many years of a distrustful polity from our cradle
as always, we heard of billions of a ransom given to the political virus
‘who’ kidnap our collective survival.

We heard from Mrs. Disaster of how billions were expended
on the vulnerable somewhere uncharted.
We heard the golly-governor said he spent billions when he shared
packs of noodles to the hungry as palliatives to survive on five months ago now.
We heard the markets jammed and streaming with viral sweats
of frantic buyers were once fumigated with millions of liquid cash.
We heard the spike in infection cases and deaths suddenly flattened out
after huge private and federal allocations in aids
We heard the country and people are broke and more billions of dollars
are borrowed. But where does the money go to?
We heard the rumours, theories, mythos…!

Majority of the poor and needy only hear but did not see;
for those who have more, more are given and stolen.
Those who have none, even the little they need are denied!

They mutate dead cells of social conscience patting the pauper
to go home and stay safe without a crumb of comfort, hope or bread.
We are tired of this sham of leadership and shame of distrust!

we saw food baskets kept on the threshold of the poor
we saw hungry people lined up for the goodies of charity and state kitchens
we saw the unemployed get insurance and compensation
we saw the government expend social funds and give subventions
we saw the leaders and businesses arouse social trust and hope
not taxes and profits when the people are already famished
we saw the hive of humanity, not the survival of the fittest
we saw a build up of philanthropy
not the building up of many pyramids…during a pandemic.
Nevertheless, these are realities in some other climes
which we are here still dreaming on!

Premium Member Power of Kindness Mystic

Lord Jesus uttered in unbearable pain
‘May God forgive these adamant people
unaware of their guilt, mostly insane.’
That’s the spirit of a graceful holy heart.
Me basically, kind-hearted, and soft minded persona
feeling intense urge to respond prompt
at need of person in misery.
Instantaneously I act and become ready
to lend a helping hand expecting no return.
       Soul reacts spontaneous and unbiased.
        Kindness is basic realisation
to sense and feel pain of one another.
           Self-centered person does never bother.
           Kindness builds up right civilization.
I believe in power of kindness
But in cases of malice, offences, wickedness, tortures,
I feel no pity, but wish to punish tormentor, not to forgive.

                                         power of kindness
                                                to apply not supporting
                                                                an offence or crime

Premium Member Prima Ballerina

Pale limbs, vestigial breasts, long, slender alabaster neck,
In classic first position she stands alone in the spotlight,
Center stage, accepting her last applause.
It's tumultuous tonight, but midst cheers and bravas
She's certain she heard some guffaws.
Statuesque and sublime, she reflects that it's time
To quit the glittering world of ballet.
No longer breathtaking "Cracking Nuts" or "Swanlaking",
She can't pirouette, arabesque, or plier,
And gets no elevation when she tries to jeter.
She's danced with the best, and loved more than a few.
They'll enshrine all her tutus and her best toe shoes, too.
So adieu to the realm of the dancing elite,
She's known the thrill of victory and the agony of the feet.
She'll open an academy in the southern part of France
And teach a whole new generation of future stars to dance.
And one day, when she's all alone,
She may write about the life she's known
When she was queen of her arena
And reigned as Prima Ballerina.

Author's note: A professional dancer's career endures for only 15-20 years, in most cases. Unbeknownst to many people, dancing, like some sports, takes an enormous toll on the human body. So I applaud these artists for their strength, and courage, and stamina so that the rest of us mere mortals can enjoy the grace and beauty they give to the world through their dedication and sacrifice. This is also for Cherry, a friend and sometimes teacher.

War

The varnish cracks and peels away,
and little eruptions from below the surface
suppurates before us the underlying truth:

An animal awaits...nine meals from anarchy.

Deadlier than any other living thing,
prepared to kill anyone,
even its own kind.

No other creature sets a lower bar.

Surely the wonder of Nature never foresaw this.

Linguistic casualties:

integrity; heroism; courage; sacrifice and love,
for such things sit uneasily with weaponry.

The words of a leader
reverberate in our minds:

"God is on our side:
the enemy is the lowest form of life,
its armaments and behaviour
horrendous in the extreme."

Yet he desires more from his own productions lines
and urges his people to a glorious
victory.

Dignity, goodness, sensitivity,
and empathy,
the basic decency of many human beings,
nine meals from anarchy,
and 'Mental Cases'.

Easy prey.

So does even the shame, the regret,
that searing, the scarred memories;
the tears, the guilt, and the fear,
fall upon the consciences of the good?

To suffer the rest of your life,
an innocent.

Euphemisms, and stirring myths, and lies,
encircle the globe,
like mental fall-out,

nine meals from anarchy.

The protective layers of pretence and language,
unfold and peeled back,
until,
naked,

everyone is enemy?

Hey, all you governments
Who sit on your ass
Do as your told
And do as we ask

Make this planet
The way it should
Follow my stanza's
Please intrude

People prepared to take a life
Should stay inside, out of sight
Never to shadow, our neighbourhoods again
Don't put them down, let our pains stain them

Paedophiles preying on our innocent kids
This is a parasite, that needs to be rid
How its done, we vote in people to say
For never again on our kids should they prey

The driver who's drunk, vehicle out of control
Never drive again, jail then parole
All cases taken, for their premeditated crime
Which will indicate their incarcerated time

Corporate America, conglomerate feed
The want for the dollar, seed of greed
Countryside plundered for ore and wood
What was picturesque scenes, now raped and crude

The culture of guns from the Wild West
Has impregnated the thought, of a gun by the bed
Constitution allows the keep of a gun
Decades of mentality, blood run

The one to me that beggars belief
To invade others for out and out greed
The Invasion of Iraq, on the intelligence told
Weapons of Mass, the public sold

Saddam a tyrant like many others
Sit round the table, as their power smothers
There has to be ways to take them down
Without invading their cities and towns

So all you politicians, who work for us
Get out of your office, get on that bus
Campaign out there for what you know to be right
For we'll vote you in, and applaud your sight

Its not just for today, its for tomorrow and beyond
So come on governments, please respond
Pass the laws, with the White-house pen
If not for us
Our Children's, Children
