Between lies and denials

Scars remained long unexplained from what some called my youth.
Between lies and denials is where I searched for the truth.
Searching rain clouds way up high I searched shadows everywhere
Between lies and denials I searched for truth that wasn't there.

I searched some closets here on earth where skeletons turned to dust.
Between lies and denials I learned there's no one I could trust.
I asked a stranger “Help me please” and I asked some old friends too.
But between lies and denials. There ain't a damn thing they can do.

I called the preacher on the phone and asked him “Pray for me?”
Between lies and denials ain't where the truth will ever be.
So I went to ask my father and I knelt down by his grave.
Between lies and denials what's found you sure won't crave.

I asked my brothers and my sisters what is it I must do?
Between lies and denials the truth will come find you.
Standing at my mothers side our worlds both fell apart.
Between lies and denials was the truth locked in her heart.

They all wondered if we'd make it, would we know love like before?
Between lies and denials she loved her secret more.
The shadows gathered round me, it grew darker than the night.
Between lies and denials was where my heart lost the fight.

They seemed to come from everywhere to bury me in shame.
Between lies and denials my love for her remained the same.
They took away all I had built and watched as my dreams shattered.
Between lies and denials they killed all that once had mattered.

Not one friend stood by my side they all say the fault's my own.
Between lies and denials I should not have come alone.
Broken beaten and betrayed she's the last one I would see.
Between lies and denials the truth had set me free.

Premium Member When Old Foes Meet

Upon this hallowed ground where now only wild poppies grow,
Noble youth of hostile armies once met, foe facing foe.
Old men who knew the roar of cannon and the muskets' rattle,
Now returned as aged' veterans to the peaceful field of battle.

In the bloom of youth, were they, yet filled with hate and scorn,
Now they met to reject all such passions and with the others mourn.
To heed the mournful pleas of phantom souls who yet linger there,
And heal the scars of war, the bonds of brotherhood repair.

With shuffling gait, old men took a melancholy walk around,
Each re-living the horror of that savage battleground.
They recalled clutching men to their breasts as they died.
Years of pent-up emotions couldn't be held inside - they cried.

Old foes embraced begging forgiveness, they meant no ill.
They merely did their duty, fulfilling their nation's will.
None but these have known the worst that man can do to man.
Alas, 'tis youth who must abide such folly since time began.

Gnarled hands that once held the terrible weapons of war,
Now beckoned for peace that we shall know war no more.
Former foes they were, now each pledging to strive for peace,
Praying that The Golden Rule will prevail and all strife shall cease.

Premium Member You Are the Origination

God You have a freaking humor
Why do I do the thing that I do
if it wasn't coming from you?
Why God?
Why do you let me do all those things?
You know I could fall and hurt myself
But you'd pick me up
I could start a fire and burn myself
But you would put it off
I can do a lot of things
But if it wasn't for you
I don't think I can do it
So here hear God
I am not responsible for anything I said and do
You set them all up
I just walk in
So if things turn out bad
Know that you want it
If things turn out to be lousy
Know that you have it
If things turn out to be funny
Then I get all the credits
NOT
Then I blame it on you
You You You
Okay - now what do You want to say?

In a Spin

oh prunus spinosa
you are my delight
oh prunus spinosa
flowering so white

to see this thorn maturing
in the autumn hue
makes my heart want to sing
so full of fruit, deep blue

but there is this bitter taste
is there something you can do
it would seem such a waste
what if you merge into a brew

oh prunus spinosa
you are my delight
oh prunus spinosa
flowering so white

freezing you to release your juice
sweetened and you're almost there
soon to become a new produce
regularly revolved with loving care

leave you now to father time
no tonic needed to begin
this time you'll taste sublime
just sip what was once in a spin

oh prunus spinosa
you are my delight
oh prunus spinosa
flowering so white

Part one, Part two
Part three, Part four
To complete this story
What more are you looking for?
The perfect words
The perfect sayings
Can we see what's portraying
In the inside
Bring it out
That greatness shows them what it's about
It's in you the potential
Embrace it
With problems
Face it
With negativity replacing it
You can do it
Like a tool don't screw it

Got to make a change
Everything is not meant to be the same
Sometimes change is good
Helps you from being so misunderstood
You can figure out
The end instead of only the beginning
Don't you know you are winning
In an unwinnable situation
Where you at doesn't have to be your final placement
Did I speak loud
Or make a statement
Did I make it clear
You are destined for greatness don't live in fear

~He'll Give You Love Peace And Hope~
(Quatern)

He will give you love peace and hope
When with life you can't longer cope
He will help you to be so strong
when everything for you go wrong

When you fight and struggle in vain
He will give you love peace and hope
And He will take away your pain
When you are at the end of rope

His love in your heart will just flow
when your spirit is sad and low
He will give you love peace and hope
Every time you reach an steep slope

When troubles pile wide and so high
Ask the Lord for help every day
Before God just kneel and then pray
He will give you love peace and hope.

~Author's Notes:

-But Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” Matthew :19:26 (KJV)

-I can do all things through him who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13 (KJV)

-He said to them, “Because of your little faith. For truly, I say to you, if you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you.” Matthew 17:20 (KJV)

-A Psalm of David. The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. ... Psalm 23: 1-6

Layers of Emotions

Each of us show lots of sides
Through this lifelong yearly ride
We all share from day to day
Our emotions never stray
Depending on what is occuring
We can change so fast during
The moments that always come
Always filling our days from
The time we wake up to minutes
Ticking towards nighttime, we live it
Hour by hour we don't know
Which side of us is gonna show
But we always make it through
There is nothing we can do
This whole life can get so crazy
Leaving us inside a hazy
Fog of disillusion
We all come to a conclusion
Not to change one single thing
From the uncertainty it brings

City Life Bleeds On

The mentally ill have given up on us.
Let loose they roam
where once naked cowboys sang.
It is the drugs
it is the broken system
it is the anger of strangers
it rises like a concrete weed in our heads.

The 'no nothings' can do nothing,
the big chiefs
in their native american Uber wagons
ride around with closed minds,
they talk through their noses,
blow-harder than ever.

Cops duck and dive.
The mentally challenged
are stabbing their sharp fingernails
into the exposed necks of silent lambs.
Subways are neglected, are badlands
where only that brave dare to ride inside.

City life sleepwalks on, but with one eye
always open.

Lover number One

Most of the night
He had sit home
Waiting
Begging and pleasing
Reneocating
She had promised her time
With another
He had been seen as an
Alternative
She wished to be with
another
The evening came which
He had been seduced
Morning of soft crab breakfast
Where the creams
Had been reduced
Months later they spoke of
that night together
She was pregnant then she
Thought he'd say whatever
Of them together he asked her to
Stay
Maybe us together we should start
To pray
He wished her the marrying type
But was to fool to ask
She just played alone like
She was part of a cast
Emotions ran high
He was wise enough to ask
Said "marry me the foolish one
we can do it fast"
Slow down hell no, but will marry you
Than the awkward foolishness
Would all be through

Premium Member Reaching From Inside

True happiness has to come from inside
Don’t pretend my friend
It won’t last
And it only hurts you in a long run
Try to be happy with yourself first
If you are not happy with yourself
No matter what you try
It won’t work
Why are you not happy with yourself?
Is it something you can do?
If there isn’t something you can do
Then ask God to change it
Don’t sweat the small stuffs
Let begone be begone
Don’t hang on to things
People that are weighing you down
Do an inventory
Take stock of what you have
The smallest to the grandest
Appreciate the little thing
Try to find the root cause of your unhappiness
And correct it
Don’t let it eat you inside
Life is supposed to be enjoyed to the maximum possible
Stay away from negative people
And people that give you bad spirit
Your spirit can discern it
So trust it, okay?
So take care of that thing that is bothering you
And weed it
That is usually the root cause of the problem
It won’t go away if you ignore it
It only festers
And ooh, you don’t want to see the gucky things that come out
So clean it, okay?
And do it sooner
Than later
You don’t want to waste any more time
So go do it, okay?
Enjoy
