I let you see who you want me to be.
You give me that look, which tells me I’m doing great.
You are fooled into sharing your deep secrets.
Because I look like that kind of listener.
I am not, but I want you to think I am.
You are so grateful to my fake listening eyes
That you spill your guts into my lap
I covertly shake them out onto the floor
And stomp them thoroughly but secretly
So you keep talking, thinking that I care.
I am a master at not sharing any of my real self.
I was taught years ago that people take their cue from your eyes.
“The windows of the soul” some say.
Mine are on auto-pilot, slammed shut.
The hurricane shutters are tighter than those you buy at Home Depot.
But you look into them and you are completely fooled.
I am the master at showing you a false me whom you readily believe.
Saving the real me for someone who has never arrived.
Dying in silence
Smiling in pretence
Living life in absence of the moment
Faded passion in obscured expression
No place of joy in your endeavors
Life to you seems living to see each passing day
You can't wait to see the clock tick
Every seconds is lengthened
Each minutes is flaccid
The hour is out of it
So it makes the day look hectic
You are ageing before your very own eye
Its telling on you I can see it all over you
Its not your fault
Because that's not you by default
it won't bring you to halt
If you use the alternate alt
Where have you lost it?
When did you lost it?
How did you lost it?
Can I help you find it?
You may need some time in solitudes
To ponder on what matter most to you and ask what on earth am i living for
Whatever overwhelmed your thought
Is a conviction to buy at every cost
Take your time and prioritise your interest
It may demand you share with a trusted friend or anyone who can help
The most important is that you find your place in passion and cling to it.
Don't loose the vibe
Just subscribe
To the aforementioned prescribed
And live a positive mental life
Here is passion calling for attention
Yell at it and scream where have you been
With a smile fling at your lost passion
purpose is passion in action

What is love, can anyone explain it
Is it something you can buy at the store
If you could, how much would it cost
Would it have a lifetime guarantee
What? No guarantee?
What if it breaks down within a short period of time
Well... you're just poop outta luck I'm afraid
But what if you just spent a pile of dough on a diamond ring
Just chalk it up to experience!
That doesn't sound like too good a deal to me
Aw just give it a shot... what could you lose
Not sure! Had my heart broken before
Took me years to get over it
You only get to go around once
Go for the gusto, grab the brass ring
Put your money where your mouth is and all that stuff
Whatcha got to lose!

Was it always like this, still I don’t have a clue
On the distance the dreams came true back in the day
I was watching the film of my living with you
Documentary film, not a fictional play
The main scene was a room by the backgarden door
We were coming and going, and searching again
For your glasses, we laughed and we looked out for
Some uniclo tops you could buy at a bargain
The door to the kitchen you always left open
Pippa went back and forth, you were letting her out
Into the garden, and we both were hoping
That here’s our place, our real homeward bound
It was life in its ultimate implementation
Then it ended one day and I need to know why
The film director must have some information
But no contact is shown, no mailbox to apply.
I let you see who you want me to be.
You give me that look, which tells me I’m doing great.
You are fooled into sharing your deep secrets.
Because I look like that kind of listener.
I am not, but I want you to think I am.

I like to write about biking.
And tangled things.
I like to enjoy.
The road.
Eyes with puffy feelings.
Fingers which have skulls inside.
The all along things.
That hide behind guardrails.
I like to write about biking.
All through the country.
With ghostly wheels and reflective shine.
And other things you can buy at a gas station.
The mush feeling.
Not in my toes,
Just plumes everywhere.
All along the highway.
All along the highway.
Dazzling.
Just like shards or plastic.
A tree or something.
The all along things.
That highways leave behind.
Plucking hairs as I travel.
They are everywhere either way.
I like to write about biking.
I went back and got tangled more.
Got tired and rested behind the guardrail.
Which goes all along.
I believe Karma is circle…I believe what the wise ones say is true…
If you think good thoughts, say nice things and do good things for others….
eventually good will find its way back to you.
But Karma has no timeline…we never know the date, the time…the day...when Karma will return….when it will come our way…
Take yesterday for instance, Karma had me stunned when a mother using a walker entered our bookstore…followed by her son.
They discussed a host of different books…at times it sounded like they fought…
but after each one found the book they wanted…they brought them to the counter to be bought.
The son was first to buy…at least…I’m pretty sure he was her son…
as he handed me cash with his shaky hands…he asked if I could make his change…in ones.
We are a little bookstore…since people pay with 20’s often our supply of ones runs low…so it isn’t very often we like to see them go.
But there was something in his manner his demeanor…a kind of honesty that made me think he needed those ones a little more than we.
So I handed him his change in ones… “Thank You…Thank You …he exclaimed…and when his mother bought her book…she asked for the same.
I didn’t ask why they needed them…didn’t think it was my place…
but I do know as they left the store…there was a smile on each face…
The next customer into the store was a woman…she bought a few books and here is where I was stunned…when she asked me if I'd mind…if she paid for them…with ones….
Yes, Karma is a mysterious thing…It often returns when we’re not looking for it…sometimes it comes back undetected…
but every now and then…
it returns…
so much quicker than expected.
Mr. Franklin "coined" that old saw, "A penny saved is a penny earned!"
I mused upon that fabled adage and for the olden days I yearned.
Then, a penny was worth a cent, but, alas, it ain't no more.
Ah! The myriad of things a penny could buy at the local store!
For a penny you could send a postal card through the mail.
And for a mere copper you'd get your weight read on a scale!
A penny would give you a handful of nuts from peanut machines,
And for the same, get a fistful of scrumptious and colorful jellybeans!
I recollect the cutesy cards we shared for the school Valentine party.
They cost a cent apiece and were so witty and so very arty!
As the cards were distributed, secret admirers gave a sly grin.
Blushin' lads received saccharine cards much to their chagrin!
A copper penny would purchase a huge all-day sucker to lick,
Or a twisted string of chewy red or black licorice on a stick!
You could buy a kite with your penny or some candy cigarettes,
Or some wax-bottled sugar water or silly false teeth sets!
Ain't it ironic that the profile of Honest Abe whom we so revere,
Appears on the coin that we toss about and treat so cavalier!
Even in my second childhood, I'll still pick a penny off the ground!
Shucks! "Someone's disdain for that lowly coin is my treasure found!"

Don't Give Up
Trust The lesson
Breathe
Thankyou B, or your insightful lines
As I try to strike, down the lane of an unexpected illness
this body gets knocked down from time to time
I breathe the breath of God and fill my lungs with hope,
needing to trust this lesson on hand, I learn to cope.
Giving up was never an option, from the very start
courage and resourceful, I cannot buy at Walmart
I know I have Angels by my side night and day
watching everything I do and say;
This morning the windows of my soul are wide open
as I breathe in and out love caresses me and heals
My spinal cord is turning into a strong willful rod,
I do my best, then leave the rest to God...
