Across miles of sea, on a distant shore
People flee, buildings burn, as missiles soar
Hate spews, with evil we cannot ignore
Lives injured and lost, in the cost of war
Our planet is painted with moral stain
Sketching graffiti on our hearts and brain
Harnessing our souls with a heavy strain
Filled with guilt and grief due to sins domain
Economic pain is spread across the globe
Seeking solutions, for answers we probe
Studying and guessing, we cast a strobe
Hoping we can maintain, food, house, and robe.
In a world like ours we have much to fear
Hardships and heartaches bring many a tear
Sickness, hunger, death, and sadness severe
Alone and betrayed, we have lost all cheer
Yet I recall Mary, for whom plans had been made
An angel brought her news that much dismayed
“On you God’s favor is being displayed
You will birth God’s son, do not be afraid”
But how pray tell, could she not be afraid
Without a man, a child was being made
When Joseph hears there will be a tirade
The village folks will be quick to degrade
But Mary received the word as from God
She was the Lord’s choice, though it did seem odd
By faith proceeded, without a facade
The Lord’s servant, dutifully she trod
Joseph, looked forward to his life’s parade
With Mary he would proudly promenade
But horrible news to him was conveyed
Mary was pregnant, he had been betrayed
Disappointed, he believed she had strayed
His mind was confused, his emotions frayed
“Call off the marriage” his heart would dissuade
He could not continue with this charade
Then in a dream an angel came to persuade
“Make Mary your wife, do not be afraid”
It is the Spirit’s work, God has okayed
So, Jospeh woke from his dream and obeyed
Thus, Mary and Joseph, starting with strife
Bore the false speculation that ran rife
They resolved to follow God as man and wife
In faith they parented Jesus in life
So, when the worlds troubles we have surveyed
While the Devil’s temptations serenade
When sad voices discourage and downgrade
We can trust in God and be not afraid
All long the wind swept streets
vacant windows stare
like absent eyes of statues
Shuttered an abandon
standing there
in their sites
their hollow façades
Vacant faces of hollow intent
ancient faces, sacred in advent
Forsaken by some
everyone lost in a void
Forgotten by none
Dark towers sprinkled in light
Lazy on seams of dream
Monolithic looms darkening gloom
As buildings pass from my sight
Night has come
& I chose where at last
the vacant roads I travel leads
In vast cities asleep
Stretching out into the unknown
not a soul of this world turns
but eyes of the unknown haunt
like vacant windows
along a windswept Streets
White eyes of a statue standing
within the hollow grounds
Feel it staring
blind to see it all in different light
as neon pulses and flickers
waiting to die as gloom lingers
while windows facades like ghosts
float across a vast vacant city
In deepest sleep
How can a Superhero
Fight against crime and sin
When daily there are fewer
Phone boxes to change in.
The crims would all laugh
At the luducrous sight
Of him in a lounge suit
Arriving for the fight.
Clark Kent has gone missing
From the Smallville scene
It’s almost as if he’d really
Never ever been
Nobody seemed to realise
He chose the same time to go
As Superman his Internationally
Known and famous Alter Ego.
Just when he was really needed
Superman has finally gone
Packed up all his kit
And quickly moved on.
He’s out there beyond the stars
In interstellar space
Trying to find himself
A more suitable planetary base.
The transformation to Super Hero
Had taken an infinitesimal time
But had been necessary
In his fight against crime.
It had had to be done quickly
And quietly and on his own,
But you didn’t need a little kiosk
To use a Mobile phone.
He watched in disbelief as
They spread inexorably on
Until the ubiquitous call box
Had almost finally gone.
Buildings once had lobbies
But not anymore
You needed a passcode of ID
To get through an electronic door.
And then all of a sudden
Things had got incredibly bad
Putin, Trump and Johnson as
Half the planet went mad.
When he decided to leave
He’d thought he might cry
But he departed with just
A slightly moist eye.
Just when he was needed
Superman was gone,
Packed all his bags
And quickly moved on.
He’s gone beyond the stars
To go and try his luck.
As for the Human Race,
He just couldn’t give a damn.
Except for the odd little thought
Of Earth and its simpler ways
Before the advent of theTwenty
Four Hour connected days
When when he was needed he
Could jump into any phone kiosk
And he could change very rapidly
Rght up from his undies and socks.
It is forty degree centigrade
Scorching heat everywhere
Tap Water almost boils
Heatwaves in the air
The leaves on the roadside
Have withered to sickly brown
Fewer people on the roads
Hot summer day in the town
Only people who rejoice
Are sherbet vendors in the streets
Chilled fruit-drinks they sell
Under cheap plastic sheets
And there is another group
Who enjoy their game every whit
They are the young children
Whether they win or lose it
From the very morning
They have played soccer
In almost empty pavement
In terrible heat a shocker
Now they are exhausted
Need plenty of water to bathe
In water supply at their home
They haven't much faith
Innovative in whatever they do
Now they open a hydrant pipe
Water gushes out in speed
Soon the issue is a hype
To their heart's content they
Lavish themselves with water
Splashing sound of hydrant flow
Mingles with the booming laughter
People come out of office buildings
At the excitement of the day
Smile and say to one another
‘Didn't we play the same way’

Currency As Evidence
In that allowance of finance exist it is not done so that a business of borrowing can permit one to subvert the process of owning a business.
Example 1 grants are issued for research not profit or finance.
Example 2 liability can never free oneself
That is to say calculation of entrance is also speculation in addition to conducted crime by intent
Misnomer example
A budget in legislation is for staff salary in government.
Not for extension further.
This would send, will and does create the oversight to negate oversight.
Corruption begins in testimony of observation.

My penny is just

In poignant discussion depth female initiates interruption
Street at "at least I can control the suicide and always be the one who chooses the ending"
At a point in time before an overcomer gets to speak
The past remains
Read into it what you alone will

Codified Allowance of Entry
Several city councilmembers are urging Mayor Eric Adams' administration to finally implement a nearly 2-year-old law requiring the city’s housing agency to inspect vacant apartments after neighbors complain of rats, leaks, open windows and other hazards.
The Council passed the measure in December 2023. It allows residents to make 311 complaints that trigger inspections of empty units in their buildings, including apartments being deliberately held off the market — a tactic known as “warehousing.” Councilmembers negotiated with the city’s Department of Housing Preservation and Development to begin enforcement at the start of this year.

So that’s the world, from A to Z,
With laughs along the way for you and me!
I heard that those French girls were raunchy as hell
I thought I’d go find me a young mademoiselle
I’m no work of art and I’m well past my best
But I’ve had a wash and I’ve changed my string vest
My mate said the best girls stand out in the crowds
But then he said I’ve got my head in the clouds
He said you’re so old that you might make them shriek
I said I’d be happy to just get a peek
So I bought a Kodak, its lens was quite long
To steal me a shot of a girl in a thong
My mate said that’s freaky, in fact it’s perverted
I knew he was right, I was quite disconcerted
But ladies and me, well it has been a while
A quick flash of flesh would sure make me smile
I had an idea: I would head for the sky
And focus on windows of buildings nearby
My plan didn’t work and I took not one shot
Although I had thought that I’d get quite a lot
So I’m heading home where I’ll have a cold shower
And never return to that damned eye-full tower.
our focus is on surviving
for a reason we’ve down deep
a future all too uncertain
we wait with bated breath
the fear is palpable
we’re all cautiously on edge
unsure what is next
for a litany of reasons
still hoping things somehow
will get back to normal
populations decimated
in our lifetime
what kind of normal
do we dare expect
in wildest imaginings inconceivable
this is the dawn of our new reality
the days of peace and love long gone
have given way to social distancing
smiles then warm now tainted with dismay
our confidence is at an all-time low
for younger generations someday a distant memory
for older folks at higher risk
their last years will have been in fear
unable to visit with their family
to mourn lost ones properly
empty airports
planes grounded
nowherebound
empty streets
deserted buildings
the world is stunned
life on pause
waiting to exhale

My Poem of 2010 on Poetry Soup "Wake up O Inhabitants of this Earth 1"
was a warning for the world leaders to stop playing with Nature. I am resubmitting it for my Poetry Soup friends of 2025.
.
Wake up O Inhabitants of this Earth 1
.
Wake up O, inhabitants of this earth,
The darling children of Almighty God,
You may be living in any region, country or state,
In any land, Buildings, farm house or on a river bank,
On hill tops, on plateaus, in plains or in deserts without rains,
Or you may be living in the remains of a green valley,
On in any of human’s most dear concrete jungle homes,
Or may be in the icy Greenland.
.
Wake up O, the inhabitants of this earth,
O’ darling children of Almighty God,
We are in the process of eliminating,
Our four billion years old dwelling venue,
In around four hundred years only.
.
The Earth was built and filled by Nature,
By the labor and patience of many million years,
What great miracles we have done on Earth,
In just four hundred years only.
.
We have stolen the God given treasures of Earth,
And have destroyed the most precious among the gems,
Its peace, quietness and tranquility,
Replaced by wars, explosions, noises, unrest and anxiety,
And have damaged beyond immediate repairs,
The priceless God given shield of Ozone,
Which hangs much above the earth in the sky,
And has protected us as a Savior like God,
But destroyed by humans like,
fools destroying its own Paradise.
.
But what humans have done to our most beloved Earth,
In the last one hundred years is the real threat,
To all the darling children of Mother Nature,
Dear to us as Air, Water and Earth,
They are in the danger of global warming,
Which is the result of the misuse of knowledge,
And blindly exploiting the Air and Water and Earth,
To meet our never ending needs, luxuries and whims.
