Forsaken

All long the wind swept streets vacant windows stare like absent eyes of statues Shuttered an abandon standing there in their sites their hollow façades Vacant faces of hollow intent ancient faces, sacred in advent Forsaken by some everyone lost in a void Forgotten by none Dark towers sprinkled in light Lazy on seams of dream Monolithic looms darkening gloom As buildings pass from my sight Night has come & I chose where at last the vacant roads I travel leads In vast cities asleep Stretching out into the unknown not a soul of this world turns but eyes of the unknown haunt like vacant windows along a windswept Streets White eyes of a statue standing within the hollow grounds Feel it staring blind to see it all in different light as neon pulses and flickers waiting to die as gloom lingers while windows facades like ghosts float across a vast vacant city In deepest sleep
