Listen to poem:
our focus is on surviving for a reason we’ve down deep a future all too uncertain we wait with bated breath the fear is palpable we’re all cautiously on edge unsure what is next for a litany of reasons still hoping things somehow will get back to normal populations decimated in our lifetime what kind of normal do we dare expect in wildest imaginings inconceivable this is the dawn of our new reality the days of peace and love long gone have given way to social distancing smiles then warm now tainted with dismay our confidence is at an all-time low for younger generations someday a distant memory for older folks at higher risk their last years will have been in fear unable to visit with their family to mourn lost ones properly empty airports planes grounded nowherebound empty streets deserted buildings the world is stunned life on pause waiting to exhale AP: 2nd place 2022 Posted on August 12, 2021

I am praying like mad for a normal normal. "what kind of normal do we dare expect" Great question.
