Some were born to be show horses.
Pampered and fussed over to the extreme.
Accolades outperforming accomplishment
Living for tin-can applause.
Some are born thoroughbreds.
living for glory and the golden oats
blinders ablaze- racing through life
oblivious to the rattle of time...
Then there's the humble plow horse.
Overworked, underfed, underappreciated
Swaybacked from society's harsh gaze
smoothing the way for both sashay and racer
forever looked down upon-never any applause
bending over for the ones
that will eventually eat them....
The plow horse will bury the stillborn in the fields
and crows will give it a name-
Passing sunsets are constant reminders
To the evanescence of existence
Dazzled before, my heart now wears blinders
Mindfully leery of love's redolence
Lonely and sad in harbored seclusion
Cognizant of pain love hides behind her
But faith bears hope for fate's blind intrusion
Love will eventually show her hands
With room in my heart for love to reside
And ample space for new warmth to flourish
Malice departed, pain slowly subsides
Forthcoming a new babe to be nourished
Sunrise enlightens dawn of each new day
Revitalizing a good heart betrayed

Redolence: brilliance, radiance
I tried not to cry
But when I looked out my window,
All I could see is hatred, finger pointing, false accusations and lies
I tried not to cry
But when I looked out my window,
All I could see is people turning against each other
A great country I once knew, falling from within
I tried not to cry
But when I looked out the window,
All I could see is crime, lawlessness and screaming
I tried not to cry, but the tears flowed
From grief, loss and division
All those with blinders on to this creation
I stood looking at the puddles on the floor, at my own reflection
Begging, please God, save the people, let there be no more

It was cold in New York City. In the dark,
alley, behind the lavish buildings among the
super rich, roam the forgotten.
Waiting in line at the redemption center,
turning in their plastic bottles, to pay for their
next meal.
The well off in their arrogance look at them
and look away in disgust. In their minds they
are nothing, of no value, they are the blemish
of society.
They have blinders on like race horses as they
make their way to Macy's avoiding looking at
them. Is it their selfish conscious, was it
the way they were raised? That causes this
self centered behavior.
What is lacking in a human being not to feel
the pain of others? Not to want to lend a helping
hand like a good Samaritan to a poor, or hungry
soul.
It is Christmas Eve. It is bitter cold. She makes
her way with a group. To the back alleys, to
find the lost, the hurting, the cold, the needy.
She holds them tenderly, tears flowing from her
eyes. She sees the purple hands from the cold
that some are experiencing. They huddled together
by the side of a building. A large blanket wrapped
around them. Cardboard mattresses they lay on.
She makes eye contact and reaches out to hand
them sandwiches. The group gives them blankets
they have brought. Clothing, socks, and gloves.
Their eyes light up, their hearts are overwhelmed
with appreciation and love for this woman and the
group that are with her. They say thank you. Just
before she leaves, she blesses them and says a
prayer for them.
As she is leaving one of the homeless asks." What
is your name, If you tell me I will never forget it. We
all want to know." She responded, "My name is
Mother Theresa...
Dedicated to all those that will remain homeless
during Christmas, those that will be hungry and cold,
those that are forgotten, those that are veterans that
have protected our freedoms and are homeless.
Those for one reason or another are destitute. Those
that are hungry and will not have gifts this Christmas.
May the good Lord watch over them and give them
comfort and joy, peace and hope.

Fixation on sights only seen with severe constriction,
can be obsessive when warranted with restriction-
Narrowmindedness can cower with a one-track mind,
leaving only the fear of ruling blindness behind.
There’s a fascination in compulsion that’s fixated,
only attraction to the dark side has been created-
Hang-ups and preoccupation can become real
and charisma to things of singularity can appeal.
No sympathy can be found inside life’s infatuation,
extreme devotion shows one’s troubled foundation-
A congruent yet abstract past can create blinders,
leaving only dream worthy sights as reminders.
Some see the world as upside down with tunnel vision,
and things that bring prepossession they envision-
For it is in life’s burrow where there’s severe perception
and views seen without broadness can create deception.

I shant see another day
As clearly as today
For with every day and every year
The eye become less clear
Fogged with worry and smudged with pain
Frosted with indifference and distorted with hatreds rain
A life lived hurried turns hearts to stone
Wearing blinders to see the future while the present is at home
We think that we live when we work and we give
While life pours away like water through a sieve
Positive thinking is rose colored glasses
Hiding and disguising the evil of the masses
Aleaving the sypmtoms does not cure the disease
Pretending life is easy does not make it a breaze
Peace does not come by giving in
Love is not forced but givin from within
Faith is our hope of life to live again
A life without worry, sorrow, pain and sin
your faith is the anecdote that brings forth the healing power of Christ
for if one truly believes only then can God work in one's life
a blind man sat by the road day after day
many passed and ignored him as they traveled on their way
but when he saw Jesus he said "Son of David have mercy on me"
many told him to be quiet but he had the audacity
Bartimaeus sought to be viewed as more than just a helpless blind
he wanted to be seen as a man with a heart, a soul and a mind
so he cried out loud to Jesus, "Son of David have mercy on me"
Jesus then stopped and said "who is this man I see?"
sometimes you only need to say Lord have mercy on me
look at me and see that I have need of Thee
for the divine presence of Christ can hear each and every one
He acknowledges and sees us as spiritual daughters and sons
He can see that we are burdened by life's issues and situations
He can see that we truly need some healing application
so when was the last time you gave your faith a task?
to allow it to go to Jesus and of Him simply ask
your faith is the anecdote to the healing power of Christ
your faith can cast out the demons that are moving in your life
your faith has the power to mend, heal and cure
your faith has the ability to help you endure
now Jesus had thirty-nine stripes and that's how many classes of illness exist today
for His thirty-nine stripes delineate the number of mankind's sinful ways
so let your faith be the cure infused by the blood that was shed
as faith was the anecdote that allowed Jesus to be raised from the dead
now take off your spiritual blinders and embrace the power to truly see
that true faith is the anecdote for a healing ministry
INSURRECTION
There was absence of nonviolent intent exhorting fierce opposition
Fanning the flame of loathing and disunion fueling a grim situation
Not one listened to the voice which implored for reason and sanity
They heard the gavel evenly struck but nobody heeded the decree
Among mobs of the disenchanted the Authoritarian falsely grieved
Planted noxious seeds in the souls of those who fervently believed
Embodies evil enticing mesmerized ill-informed disciples to imbibe
Drank his wine of toxicity and deceit and pledge to fortify the tribe
Peaceful transition of power mangled by insurgents altering reality
Shards of glass blood on faces and banners of lies unfurled enmity
Heroes defended the gate overwhelmed by an invasion of savages
In concealed haven lawmakers feared for life if seized as hostages
Within a flash heads rush turning rage into madness inciting revolt
Pointing fingers at faces who aptly believe the validity of the result
Eyes wearing blinders defied not to listen bent in declaring a battle
Blemished the foundation of democracy and justice intended for all
Those who worship freedom aptly stood up against seditious storm
Laid down wreaths and red roses for a warrior masses sadly mourn
There is space for reconciliation allowing wound to heal in due time
While this page in history fades optimism awaits arrival of sunshine
*the incident has passed, yet the effect has been carved in the hearts and minds of those who endeavor peace and prosperity, not war*

Dear Tony,
I see a broken and bruised heart; and I alone can relieve your awful pain.
You must realize that I am desperately trying to reach out to you;
but there are limits to my ability to enter the doors of your heart.
You continue denying me entry and ignoring all my communications.
I know if it were not for the blinders and the fog, you would let me in
I am certain that you are well aware of the padded locks on your doors
You most asuredly have noticed all the iron bars and boards blocking me
Many others have gained entry; and I only ask, "Why not me who love you more?"
We knew each other well when your were young; but now you feel no need for me. You are surrounded and locked away by selfish people who do not really care about you. They do not love you and only want what's yours; I desire not yours; but you alone. They have nothing to give, but everything to take. I have nothing to take, but everything to give. Oh *Tony, you realize this fact in your heart, but you are very lonely and afraid to let them go.
You are being consumed by unsatisfying amusements that leave you cold and miserable. I cannot force my way through all the smoke and mirrors, the false and fading. I know that You don't really want me out; but you want so many others in. Unfortunately, you cannot have both me and them. I am sorry that I cannot be 'just another' among the many who cater to you.
I have called, emailed, texted, and sent regular mail without response.
But please understand that my love for you remains and will never die; I am here for you always.
Longing to be your friend, Jesus

*I once had a friend name Tony who died from an overdose of Narcotics
through different eyes, you could see things more clearly
through different eyes, you could empathize with the totality
if you could only replace the blinders on your own
seeing things from only where you stand.
not able to digest the views of the other man.
if you could walk in someone else s shoes
if you would be the dog never getting a bone
if you be facing death at every turn
if you could not fight a man at the age of 4
if your past future and present were the same
if you had no safe place in this world to stay
if your color screamed shoot me kill me
mistreat me without shame.
if you knew you could not survive another day.
and you heard some disinterested party callously say.
"Get over it"
Just for once in your insecure and selfish life
look twice into another s space and time.
try and look and see with different eyes.
If you have a heart that is too unwilling- or a spirit bound,
this will shorten your sight, and limit your mindless views.
and let you only see that which benefits you as true.
See the truth that stares you in the face today
I am the victim of which the wicked prey
Tomorrow you may live to take my place.
through different eyes, you will see circumstances change.
Things concealed will now appear more real.
"Clear Visions" is the plight to you which
you must appeal.
Unless we see life through brand new eyes,
The sooner we'll see humankind's demise
