Onyx veined moon
peeps behind a frilled
crystal cut cloud adrift
black ink stoic sky
has its pallette
pleading for a
bristled brush
in the hands
of visionary
captivated by
a mystic miracle
that glowing orb
it neatly nestles
whilst weaving
wispy strands
of scattered
lunar beams
oe’r pliant
dark tree top
foliage swaying
to sharp breeze
scenic stimulus
an earnest art
grove gallery by
adjoining stream
in flow and trickle
stint akin to cue
for lambent
loiterer glum
so perplexed
yet inward
inkling as orbit
of the artisan
pen or paint
closet dabbler
whose inertia
frozen frigid
hidebound
hankers for
silken swoon
from that
celestial
of bodies
to spark
a latent fiery
gumption
bubbling
blandly
within each
arch after
hour budding

POLITICALLY RELIGIOUS PUNDITRY
and as the tide of mindless babble receded
whispering through the foaming bubbles,
giggling in the lather of their lies, smoothing
the unsuspecting edges of the irate populace
with the blandly pathetic pablum on which
they subsist, a rogue wave broke upon the
barren beach, tore the moorings of the past
from their entrenchments, cleansed the sands
of the needless detritus of failures filth, surged
through all the alleyways of wealth and power,
washing from their hands the stain of greed,
and in withdrawing left a stinging message -
repent - or I return.

I’m prepping for school
the unglamorous labour
that builds a future
I like to read people's ‘back to college’ lists - where I can sample what students are buying this year. I find these lists on college-ish websites like ‘Her Campus.’ The number one desire this year is for Apple Air Pods (I certainly love MY AirPod 4s).
We read in silence,
both contented this counted
as togetherness
Beside lists there are surveys on trends.
“Good news,” I announced to Peter, who was sitting next to me, “hot, weird guys are in,” I said it with the satisfaction of someone whose personal choice has been validated by GenZ.
“I still don’t want one,” he says blandly.
Looking at a list of 'questions for your boyfriend,' I asked,
“If you had to change one thing about me, what would it be?”
“Well, you could lose the clothes,” he suggested, helpfully.
No one cares
but I like his hairs
not one more than another
but his left ear
is superior to the other
you heard it here

A song for this:
Young Folks by Peter Bjorn and John
From a tree with fertile aspirations
An acorn aimlessly falls to the ground
Grounded by it's nurtured mold
Brokered to an evolving forest
Watered by providence; covered with nature's benevolence
Blown about by truant winds of change
Saturated with Spring's, fertile rains
Smothered by fawning foliage
Trodden under by creatures with ulterior motives
Struggling to find its own space in a cluttered world
Pressed by external forces, but will not crack
Its exterior hardened by ability to adapt, change
Acclimated to a world of material degradation
Finding acceptance through physical congruity
Blandly blending into its colorful world

Danielle my love, my sweet
What’s happening to me?
This slow knife your pushing into my chest
Wearing your shades in the pool
Hair down, post-full submersion
You make me wanna cry and scream…
You are 22 and I am 28
You speak with a Long Island accent
And I speak snarkily, blandly, minimally
You don’t even know I write these poems
Or how I feel about you
And I know nothing at all now
The torment erases everything…
You are my soul’s howling storm
Your simple, bulky walk
Like a slightly boastful child
And the easy laughing manner
An early spring eternal
Let me jump into your garden!
And your 8 million soft and subtle expressions of joy
Are enough to map over my entire desirous being from my
3rd grade first crush to my future’s final kiss,
That ghostly woman-to-be, in the soft sweet grays beyond,
Far forward, within the hour of my death…
All this, my Wonder, my New Purpose,
In attempt to write you out of my mind
And move on, though I fear I’m merely watering love plants
And watering on, I set out to jog
I will pound along the pavement,
My fists glistening in the dying sun
My mind reaching for yours
Rushing! Rushing for your spirit
Somewhere the sprawling summer city.
Here comes the fool: running, rushing in.
We laughed so many times
Without even reason
You hugged me when I cried
Blandly called it “rainy season”
We were the closest friends
We might be together
Eternity has found it ends
We could deal with the weather
With the weather in our friendship
With the weather in our attention to each other
We were the same, now we’re another
Of course we’ve become older and more wise
I told you million times – “I’ll be by your side”
You're always in my heart even when we’re apart
We’ve got our history, our own life
I felt so much misery
When we twisted the knife
But thank you for being my former best friend
you are beautiful to me because you are here
you are beautiful to me because you accept and love
you are beautiful to me because you see me with clear vision
you are beautiful to me because you find the patience to beautify my flaws
you are beautiful to me because you put different flavors on creature of habit directions
you are beautiful to me because your realness illuminated my self which is oftentimes blandly dim
you are beautiful to me because you find the good in me through all the hot mess abstract art
you are beautiful to me because Your Self is just Naturally Elegant
you are beautiful to me because you bestow Organic Blessings upon the Nucleus of My Soul
you are beautiful to me because, simply put, you are just a GodSend.....
