I’m in my pajamas.
With stars on my pajama pants.
My pen is on the nightstand.
And paper never lasts.
Everyone is cooking breakfast.
Too many slices of toast.
Bacon is good, but it makes too much noise.
My laptop died.
And then the sun came out.
And told me there is a package on the doorstep.
Something I ordered a few weeks ago.
That I forgot about.
My laptop is charging.
The need to go downstairs is increasing exponentially.
I could go back to bed.
Or fly out the window.
I’m not dreaming, so that’s not an option.
Hovering around the corner of my room.
By my laptop which is charging.
The power went out.
The sun came out, though.
The bacon is halfway cooked.
But the toast is just perfect.
I take a glorious bite.
In pajamas that are almost ready to be washed.
But the power is out.
And I like it that way.
There was a small child,
They felt new,
Hands opening and closing...
Eyes widening and new things frightening.
They needed hugs and loving,
Also teaching about the world They chose.
Sometimes, their Mum went hot and red...
And went around the corner to breathe.
Life felt like eating and pooping... And magic of course.
Someone so small,
How could they be so precious?
A baked bean and a diamond...
Giggles and tears....
I love you's and I'm sorrys...
Learning and loving.
Trying again.
There was a small child,
Who entered what we call reality.
The magic had its opposites and each night began the new.
The End.
As I sit and ponder about life and what is in store for us I realise that we are not immortal and the inevitable could be just around the corner.
We all say that we are looking forward to the future and plan for it but what is the future? could it be 80 years from now or 80 seconds away
I think about the people who have been in my life and are no longer around they have been old in years and they have been young.
They would have planned for the future but did they have any idea that the future they were planning for could be gone in seconds
So I ask you this when you next say that your planning for the future remember that nothing is definite
and our life is not forever its just on loan and pay back is inevitable.
birth mother of our planet
in harmony with your solar partner
your cycles providing the very essence of life
today we salute you and your virtues
you’ve sustained unspeakable wrongdoings
through man’s history been overlooked and abused
ignorance and short sightedness a poor excuse
your mighty power could exact revenge but no
seeming to turn a blind eye to obscene shenanigans
your moon lover knows how to soothe your sorrow
you’ve been blessed with the wisdom of eternity
through the ages you’ve seen species come and go
we know you’re hurting in the dead of night
biding time with karma around the corner
yes indeed… forgiving mankind for once again
they know not what they do ~

Welcome Christmas
It is getting colder and colder outside
Winter is coming around the corner
and so is Christmas with all its pride
I promise it won't be getting warmer.
The nights are long and silent nowadays
Could Clause be riding his sleigh this night,
Or the coming of a snow storm be this way,
Maybe Santa is checking his list to be right?
I look above in the evening light for the thrill,
of Christmas to begin and ring in happy melodies.
Once again, and for a moment, I feel the cold chill
Warming me as I hear the beautiful chimes harmony.
Peace enfolds the world with glowing stars above
Yes, Christmas has come again with all its amazement
And the magic that brings the hope of course of love.
Welcome Christmas as the world awaits in enjoyment.
One more time the Christmas tree lights shine bright
Gifts are passed around with words of great esteem
Yes, Father Christmas was here once again over night
Merry Christmas one and all and a good eve.
The discovery at aged seventy
Explained to me at last
The source of my problems
From way way back in my past.
Not just a clumsy country idiot,
All my life there’d been a cause,
A condition called Dyspraxia
Had me firmly held in its claws.
With the rhythm of a stick insect
Feet that didn’t act like a pair
But with a few glasses of Pils
I became a teenaged Fred Astaire
And the lovely leggy Helga
Seemed to think so as well
As though that dance floor
Held us under its certain spell.
He would sit in the bar
Through the open door
As I squired his wife
On that little dance floor.
Nineteen sixties style dancing
Bodies seldom came in touch
But when dancing with Helga
That didn’t matter very much
Just the flaring of her skirt
Could set me on fire.
Heinz was a friend and
So I reined in any desire.
Blonde Helga would whisper
Tomorrow night he’s on shift
Wait around the corner and
I’ll come and give you a lift.
Come and visit our house
We can grab the chance
To practice alone.
Our own special dance.
But, Heinz was a friend,
A big daft trusting bloke
So I just treated it all
As an ongoing joke.
We would still chat
And we would still flirt
As I treasured every glimpse
Provided by her flaring skirt
Enjoying those hours when
My feet, that unmatched pair,
Helped me In my mind
To dance like Fred Astaire.
The days weeks and months
Moved inexorably on
And my time at the regiment
Was finally gone…
One dance with Helga
Became our very last,
She disappeared from my life
To beome a memory from my past.
I had the most beautiful musical experience…and it all begins…
with a thousand candles and four musicians…one cello and three violins.
This string quartet sat on a stage surrounded by candlelight
and played music from Bach to the Beatles as day slowly surrendered to night.
In a small…intimate setting…before the evening was done…
they played everything from Bach’s Brandenburg Concerto #3
to the Beatles Here Comes The Sun.
I marveled at how these four musicians…playing their instruments independently
found a way to blend their notes into a perfect harmony.
On my walk this morning as the stars hung in the sky…
glimmering like the flames of a thousand candle lights
four owls began to sing to one another…their swan song of the night.
I heard four distinct owl voices serenading me
four voices that mixed together into a perfect harmony.
I could not see the owls….even with the starlight their stage was much too dark…
I could not determine their shape or size…
but just like the four musicians….they had me mesmerized.
It’s interesting how each quartet had their own style…
how beautifully their music blended….
from Bach to The Beatles where it began…
to the four owls…where it ended.
What makes these moments special…is time…
for once you experience the moment…you know…no matter where or when
never in your life will you experience that exact moment…ever again.
From four musicians who played strings without voices…
to four owls who sang in voices without the accompaniment of strings.
I kind of like never knowing what wonders are just around the corner…
what surprises the next moment will bring…
Helping my father and uncles when I was ten,
felled a tree, on break then ready to go again.
I walked around the corner of the truck
as someone pulled the cord and I got stuck.
Now that chainsaw’s engine didn’t start,
but it didn’t have to, to rip my skin apart.
Right through my jeans, but not too deep,
saw my flesh before it began to seep.
Dyed my t-shirt like a canvas with the body’s ink,
those cells made a mosaic from red to pink.
To my surprise, I was left with no pain,
but anesthetic’s steel lacked the mercy of the bar chain.
Skilled hands drove a cutting needle’s threads
through clotting cascades and capillary beds.
On my right thigh, a scar’s pledge,
for every kind of limb, Stihl has the edge.

I rarely have anything to say to anybody.
I'm introverted, quiet, shy really.
I am that dude that you often will find at a party,
hiding in the shadows observing everybody,
rarely participating in any conversations or social activity,
but when I do have something to say, No One Can or Dare Stop Me,
many have tried and failed defeated repeatedly,
and once I get started, There Is No Stopping Me.
I may be shy but I Will Freely Speak My Mind To Everybody,
willing to listen, It's called Freedom of Speech,
yet another civil right about to be lost to everybody..
I am a high school drop out with a GED.
That is the formal education of yours truly,
but I am also self educated in what truly interests me,
Science, Animal Behaviour and History mainly,
And I See The Exact Same Patterns Happening Currently,
That Have Repeated Themselves Over And Over Again Through Out History.
MARTIAL LAW Is Right Around The Corner Everybody,
if people outdoors continue to blatantly display publicly,
that they are not assuming any Personal Responsibility,
To Protect Themselves And THEIR CHILDREN Openly,
from catching and spreading this potential epidemic deadly disease,
and that's ThisKidster's worthless opinion everybody.
It's boxing day morning just awoke
Christmas has gone for another year
you think back over the past week
was it all worth it now the new years near?
Now think of all your worries
not knowing what to get who for
was it worth all the stress?
not really despite nearly all-out war
Christmas day itself all was dull
every tum had their adequate amount
then most of us fell fast asleep
the rest left to clean up to count
The kids were happy with their lot
still playing games so brand new
Mum and Dad left checking credit card
was it really that much? that's now due
Now only 12 months to go again
but much could happen in that time
just enjoy spring around the corner
ink your pen drink in your rhyme
