how long is the future

As I sit and ponder about life and what is in store for us I realise that we are not immortal and the inevitable could be just around the corner. We all say that we are looking forward to the future and plan for it but what is the future? could it be 80 years from now or 80 seconds away I think about the people who have been in my life and are no longer around they have been old in years and they have been young. They would have planned for the future but did they have any idea that the future they were planning for could be gone in seconds So I ask you this when you next say that your planning for the future remember that nothing is definite and our life is not forever its just on loan and pay back is inevitable.
