A poem can be about anything you want
Convey any message you happen to have on your heart
Just find something smart to say - so the words will come gliding
Poetry can be many things
What warms your heart and thoughts
In a moment of joy or relieve your pain
If you do a bad write - your next one will be improved
There is always someone who likes poems that others do not like
The most important thing is that your poem will be to the benefit of someone
As you write - you live
As you live - you write
You can always reach far
if it is not narrow
into the door of your heart
That writing poetry can have a therapeutic function
True and good words about friendship, joy and sorrow
Thank you for sharing

All the Best

ALL THE BEST PEOPLE HAVE GONE HOME

	all the best

 people have gone home

	when i go

 i'll not return, oh no

well i guess, i am next, the hereafter-show

all the best people have gone home

	a change of

 scenery doesn't hurt

	it's all about,

perspective makes things work (work things out)

like a jealous wind, where am i to begin?

a change of scenery wouldn't hurt

i've made mistakes, one made me think twice

should i die today, would tomorrow be alright?

all the best people have gone home

	there's no need

to enter like a thief

	show me your

hunger, show me your greed

take some more, take anything you want from me

there's no need for you to enter like a thief

i‘ve made mistakes, one made me think twice

if i die today will tomorrow be alright?

it's a quiet place, in death as in life

would it be okay if i turn out the lights

all the best people have gone home

When the sad eyes sink at depth of dark to see
light in the sanctum of soul, still like deep sea,
find where do the tear drops you shed go to lie
at the edge of scorched heart till they are dry.

Mind then comes out of mist to glide with glee
at silky pace like the fleet of clouds sailing free
in sapphire stretch of no end in the seamless sky
where beguiled life spreads wings to soar high.

Tinged rays of the new sun glint the face of gloom,
the revived buds of wasteland plants again bloom,
splash of hue wafts to the soul that shines bright
as it gets suffused with the divine glow of inner light.

Premium Member Children

Children are all the same continent to continent.
Innocent, impressionable; full of youthful exuberance
                              And wide-eyed wonder.

They're endlessly curious about the world
                     Around them; sponges absorbing
All that their minds can conceive. They internalize
Things said, repeat words they hear, imitate
                             Behaviors they observe.

To raise good children, parents must teach them
Family values, proper etiquette, good manners,
             Communication skills required to function
In today's society. They're receptive to acts
                       Of kindness and compassion.

Children are all the same continent to continent.
Innocent, impressionable; full of youthful exuberance
                            And wide-eyed wonder.

They all want the same things: reassurance, freedom
To explore and discover, love, comfort, encouragement,
Protection, guidance, attention. They need people
      To play with, be it other children or with grown-ups;
                          Preferably their parents.

They imbibe virtues such as respect, fairness,
And honesty, regardless of national origin, race, religion,
Or language. They comprehend gestures of genuine
Friendship, and they're perceptive enough to immediately
Detect hints of insincerity or instability.

Children are all the same continent to continent.
Innocent, impressionable; full of youthful exuberance
                               And wide-eyed wonder.

Fuzzy Socks and Crocs

Fuzzy and hairy that is what he was, a cuddly big bear. She
Undressed shyly before him while he took his own sweet time
Zesting it up with cologne before a mirror, what a nervous boy
Zorro mask in place he naughtily asked," can I use my whip ?"
You can do anything you want but leave my feet alone

So there they were two hotties revving for the big big night
Oh Oh Oh she wailed and moaned, " how I love the big wild horse"
Caressing her like a velveteen he croons into her ear, "Oh dear "
Kiss me, canoodle me but don't look at my feet Tiger, cuz if you do ?
So slowly ever so slowly he peels the blanket off her quivering body

And as he looked at her feet he took in the blue socks and crocs
Nascent desires squelched, she was no longer a sexy wench ,
Darling, what in Gods name made you wear something like that he cried

Cuz I wanted to be hot stuff for you, but my feet are always cold
Roaring with laughter he took off his mask & she noticed his brows
Oh my stars you shaved your brows! "Didn't want to be a
Caveman my dear. She giggled and squeezed him tight. I love it
Sexy Zorro. Two lovers doo whopping it, with hot sexy love...

Bad Is Good

If there were no bad days, we would never realise the value of good ones
If we are never sad, we will never appreciate the joy of happiness
If we don't fall sick, we will not realise the value of good health
If we don't have any enemies, we will never realise the worth of good friends
If there were no autumn, we would not appreciate the beauty of spring
If there were no death, we will never enjoy life fully
Juxtapositions make life interesting, propel us to count our blessings
But for them life would be so boring!

Premium Member I Think of Life With An Elegant Man

I think of life with an elegant man.
I see a man whose hands are silk to me.
He's stunning in a suit (well-groomed is he).
He loves to read and maybe plays Chopin.
He whisks me off to Paris or Milan.
His dwelling has divans and a nice settee.
We meet the afternoons for chat and tea,
then ride inside a chauffeured black sedan.

Such a man a mystery shall remain.
For me - champagne to my accustomed beer.
I steered toward one whose words and deeds are plain.
He has no care for things that I revere.
For art and culture my man has disdain.
He's strong and bronzed, though, and his heart's sincere.

Premium Member In the 70's

I just realised
I never said goodbye
I never thought
About you again
Never did you cross my mind
Just gone
Like a thought
Caught on that wind
What brought you back
Back to the fore
Richard Clapton
He came on the radio
It was like
You whispered to me
Way back from the 70’s
How nostalgic
How dorky
I had to laugh
At you
To start
Then when
I thought more
I wanted to cry

How the world was worth fighting for
Back then
How we use to live
In the lucky country
Everything was further away
Further still today
Everything has changed
But
Nothing has changed
Except
Whether it’s worth
Still fighting for
I wish
I wish I could go back
And just sit with you
Talk about anything
Anything you want
Maybe sow seeds
That would stop you
Doing all those dumb things
Sow seeds of courage
So, they might make you
Do the right things
Just put my arm around you
Around your shoulders
And tell you
Just to love yourself
That can’t happen
I know
Once you left
You just kept going
Like you were running
You never looked back
At
Myself
In the 70’s

                                                It is ...
