So you fancy that you know the poet?
I for one, wouldn’t dare make that claim!
Poets have ventured where few men have been,
And the poet is no stranger to pain.
Poets don’t live on the same plane as most,
Theirs is much deeper and higher.
They have dipped their quills in the blackest of ink
And climbed farther than most can aspire.
In a way, they are like a reporter
But their stories do not come second hand.
When their words bring to life vivid scenes of delight
You can bet there’s more gold in the sand.
The poet who writes of the joys of a puppy
And paints pictures of frolic and play
Has watched his companion grow old and pass on,
And thanked the good Lord for the days.
The man who rejoices at a burgeoning oak
Just breaking forth from the brown
Has sat in the shade of a towering red wood
And wept when it fell to the ground.
When the words of a bard touch you deep with its truth
And ring in your heart like a bell
You can bet that they paid for that seed with their youth
Or snatched it from some unknown hell.
For ‘tis poets, not fools who will quickly rush in
Where good men and angels refrain.
Only there do his cryptic words yield their meaning,
Only there can you feign know his pain.
A map's a guide to find a world
Knitted by angels,plain or pearled,
And though you need a map as guide,
Keep your own eyes open wide.
I spent a year caught in a map
Until I found a big enough gap
I crawled out through this exit slit,
So here I am,like some half wit.
Words can act like heroin,
You live so high ,where I have been.
But onto earth I gladly fall.
The air, the sun, the rain is all.
My senses are my lovers long-
My ears,my eyes,my skin my tongue.
The winds caress my naked flesh,
To dwell on earth is all I wish.
I'll live with mice and birds and plants,
I'll share my food with miscreants
I'll keep my words inside a tin;
And only, now and then,go in.
I'll live with cats and spiders three.
And like a wild flower grow quite free.
I' ll give my words to those who hear,
And eventually I'll disappear
Earth to earth then ash to ash
When soaked with rain I shall disperse.
My atoms wing like butterflies,
And to the Flower I'll fly, disguised.

If only I could give this world my best,
harbored in this port of call of restless
desires deep inside a ship in raging foam,
I’d find a way to make my way back home.
Digging deep into my sleep and slumber,
never more would I ignore the wonder
of sunrise colors painted on the sky,
or seeing your perfection through these eyes.
Peering past tomorrow’s whispering Titans calls,
to hear the ring of angels sing for all
lifting you above the dew and dreary,
weightless and devoid of feeling weary.
To pass God’s gift from underserving lips,
to stranger, lover, friend, who may begin
finding solace, meaning, that does prevail,
would fill my cup and lift me up in sails.
If only I could give to you my best,
I’d pray that every day brings happiness
to you and those who love you like a rose,
the scent of all your goodness, I suppose.
My fellow pilgrims on life’s path,
I greet you here today
To share a tale of gratitude
For help along our way.
Our best route is the straightest path,
And narrow from the gate.
But most of us went crashing through
As though we couldn’t wait
To see the things in store for us,
The sights that life would bring,
Not knowing that the track is steep
And dangers wait to sting.
A plethora of vistas wait
For those with eyes to see
But fog can sometimes block our view
As daylight starts to flee.
It’s in these dark and tricky parts
Where angels come to play,
With lanterns born above their gaze
To light the hidden way.
And when we pass beyond their light,
Another’s overlaps,
Until we’ve reached the sun again
And crossed the risky gaps.
These angels are but humble souls;
A neighbor down the road
Who walks their path with righteous steps,
And shoulders others’ load.
God bless these lantern bearers!
Without them I’d be lost
And never find my way back home
Despite the distance crossed.
How far from earth are heaven and hell?
And which way do you go to get there, pray tell?
Did God create a GPS for the soul?
Or did he give little devils or angels the role
to escort you to the place where for eternity you'll dwell?
It was so hot, my nose melted off my face.
It was so hot, my blistered feet got fused in place.
It was so hot because of an infernal fire
that God eternally stoked to fulfill his desire
to flash fry those who'd refused to be in a state of grace.
If not for this fence, there'd be no shade,
and we'd be burning up watching this hellscape parade
of hellhounds and lizards ~
and three-headed wizards ~
and griffins with gross gizzards ~
making the little kiddies afraid.
Come, winter, once again,
the way you came to me when I was young,
and with a handsome boy as we took a little stroll
along a country lane, our love new and pristine
as the wisps of white that gently drifted
with whispers of the wind. It seemed as if
sugar crystals were being sifted by the angels
from heaven above!
Oh, those soft pearls swirling in the dusk,
blanketing immaculately all the terrain.
We felt no need to speak, for it was so amazing.
As we continued on our way,
alabastine was the tread of our boots
as we inhaled deeply sweet quietude and peace.
Soon the soft flurries transformed into
much larger flakes of snow that seemed
to tumble from the sky.
We turned to walk hand in hand back to our cabin,
anticipating the warmth of its fireplace
before the dusk would turn into a pale blue night.
We spied three cardinals decorating
one of the many frosted trees along the lane.
As we hurried on, I stumbled at one point.
My gallant caught me and held me close.
We stood a while gazing into each other’s eyes.
I lightly brushed some snowflakes from his glistening cheeks.
When we arrived at the cabin made cozy by a fire,
we snuggled on the sofa, still watching out the window
as snow accumulated more and more.
Oblivious to mundane woes, we embraced
each other as we also embraced the serenity of that day.
Our new love was glowing and growing
like that December’s first day of snow.
Oh, come to me sweetly, winter,
as you did so long ago.
Inspired by a moving storyline. May our prayers and beliefs guide our lives and life purpose. Life can be challenging. But love, hope and faith are powerful beyond human understanding. Stay blessed and take care.
Like a prayer

Like a prayer to the Lord
In supplication I bow my head
So many thoughts in my mind
I'm trying to pacify the dread
Every day is another struggle
To embrace Fate and Destiny's collision
Observing in slow motion
But impossible to prevent its friction
Talking to God and His Angels
Answers to questions being asked
They want me to be strong
Not accept any defeat or harm
We cannot presume to know
What the Universe ultimately desires
We must valiantly play our part
And focus on our learning spirals
Like a prayer we speak to Heaven
Powerful and eternal lessons entwine
May we be blessed for evermore
Experiencing our divinity through time

Your wrongful sins – your mind can’t wrap itself around it…it still denies
As my racing thoughts keeps asking those ridiculous why's
I tried my hardest to protect you from your own mistakes…leave the past behind you
(hit the brakes)
Don't let me go, please...I know our time is almost up
Don't cut me off...don't rage wars in your mind...suicidal fatality fills your mind with plastic relief...
It will bring grief upon us...so, don't say those words...
Tell me one thing before you go away forever leavving me in grief
I'm hanging on the branches...tomorrow is way too far away...let's embrace our young spirits
Like dying angels we fly away apart like birds
YOU shattered me with thoughtless words...the beat of your heart...is thumping so absurd...releasing herds (of distress and stress and pushing me back in my emotional mess)
You once was my hearts dearest
You're so far...yesterday's tomorrow shines on like a star...
Dream on wherever you are
You once had my mind and heart at it's very clearest
Nightmares will fad
fade*
and something else will be at ease and heal - that scar...
You pushed me so very far
Right now, let's do what we should've started long ago
Give me a scar that I can show
We got right now...we're running out of time...go with the flow...of the blessed breeze...and be marinated in the sun's glow
To remind me to save myself from what I thought was bliss before we both must go
There's no use of crying nor is there any excuses for lying
I grieved you as I watched you slit your wrists - painted red with shameful lusts...and I cried...cried...cried...
For my loving heart and caring ways are all slowly fading and dying
A R i v e r
Sick of pretending that I have the ability to keep on flying
But I must keep on trying
Save me
Believe in me
Reflect on me
Pain hurt and disloyalty to me you only deliver
You smoked me out like a cigarette
The moment I said yes, I submitted to pleasure, then regret
From your corrupting ways I felt I still fret
In those primitive times of long, long ago
when behemoths wandered the land
when mankind was wicked and ruthless and raw
and battles were ever at hand.
An unruly unrest reigned on the earth
and rebellion was wild and free
for God turned His back on the people he made
and regretted what they came to be.
On the blackest of nights, on the darkest of days
fallen angels were cast from the skies
then entering into the daughter's of men
a new race began from on high.
So the Nephilim roamed, those aliens of old
a people of lusts and desires
warriors all, great giants so tall
reigning with blood lust and fire.
A ruthless tribe, with dark hearts inside
in chaos, they spread misery and hate
but in due time, God's patience was tried
hence, the Great Flood would seal their fate.
In a humbler man, a new chapter began
for in Noah, God renewed all mankind
with a rainbow so bright, and a heavenly light
filled with hope and new promises to find.

Angels are busy in the sky...I think!
Rolling giant golden barrels to give these desert lands a drink.
I hear the barrels rolling, oops! One tossed over the side!
A flash of gold was spotted, and it brought with it a tide!
Crashing! Splashing! Water!
With every barrel drop,
Cascading in a current over Mother Nature's crop
"Keep em' rolling lads!" Thunderous laughter ripples hills,
Dead rivers rise to life and flow
The basin quickly fills
Gold barrels tossed and clouds embossed, then silver
Poured on earth...
The dormant seed refreshed at need
Gold flowers glow,
Rebirth!
