i dreamt for awhile
im walking down the aisle
with eyes watching alongside
as they look at me as the bride
their eyes spark in admiration
breath and a moment in cessation
i walk in slow motion
feeling each step in exultation
holding my bouquet of white roses
my face beaming senses
of pride; of nervousness; of joy
as this my day: MY DAY
nearing at the end
a man offering his hand
a dust of magic wand
that, finally we'll be one
i am his..
he is mine..
we will say our vows..
not later but of now..
ill look deep to his eyes
he will see nothing but love...
we will share our first kiss
the time will seize..
We have a friend who grew up in the house across the street
Laci is the name she goes by…
We watched her from the time she could walk
until the day she learned to fly.
I suppose if there is one wish we have for our children
all children everywhere…from New York to Singapore…
It’s not only that they learn to fly…
but one day…they will soar.
Laci made her way to the Alaska Raptor Center in Sitka
where she helps birds who are hurt and have forgotten how to fly
she nurses them back to health…then returns them to the sky.
It is Laci’s and the Alaska Raptor Center’s plan
to take in any bird that’s been injured…
whether in nature or by the hands of man
Eagles, owls, every bird regardless of their color, shape or size
who’ve been hurt or injured in any way
and nurse them back to health…then watch them fly away.
It’s amazing to see the pride written on their faces
as they watch birds they have cared for fly off to new and unknown spaces
When I think about Laci and the Raptor center…
sometimes I’m at a loss for words….
to describe my admiration for the ones who save the birds.
When I look around the world at human behavior…
often finding it absurd…
it makes me wish humans treated their fellow humans
the way Laci and her colleagues treat the birds
Think of how many of our children
would be soaring in the sky…
if we treated everyone like Laci and her colleagues do
in the place where eagles fly
“How long has he been here?” said the other voice which Dumpty could see now that the dawn light started to grow, belonged to a largish Owl perched on a tree branch, near the sleeping cat. “Oh, I dragged him in just the other day” replied Dumpty, “the poor thing he was holding onto that large green flagon over there, could hardly get a word out of him he just nodded most times, and he has a glazed look in his eyes, I would say he has been deeply traumatized.” “How is he normally?” “‘Oh he is a most cheerful soul, full of energy, helpful to others and so
on; and he can be quite brave, I can remember when the clog-dancing Dutch mouse, fell down the stair.. she had to have bed rest for 2 weeks, well he volunteered to look after her kids and he did! As it so happens Siegfried and Roy were touring, well one of their panthers got into the backyard of the mouse family’s home and he was there pegging out some washing you know one of those young mice came down the back steps and the panther headed toward it... well this guy here he sorta made every hair on his body stand out stiff he looked over twice his size, and then quick as a wink he jumped on that bad ole panther, he jumped on his head and got his claws up its nose, he hung on like glue while I flew off to raise the alarm, poor old puss here took some punishment but he saved that young mouse alright, and that old panther looked really the worse for wear when he was recaptured” well I can see he does not like bullies observed Dumpty with a note of admiration in his voice, I do so hope he gets well I
would like to get to know him..!

Since industrialization there’s been agitation frustration palpitation trepidation vociferation
And unequivocal asseveration in favour of our planet’s welfare glorification and protection
Premeditated or not, the results on the planet are nothing short of brutalization and martyrization
Damage is irreversible and orchestrated with acceleration towards matricide and genocide no question
Axiomatic domination exploitation contamination violation decimation decapitation
Take their toll from appropriation to deforestation, amputating earth’s lungs without arbitration
Patronizing politicians greedy for ovations ignore aggravation assassination brutification asphyxiation
Not fooling anyone with altruistic motives of lavishing ones with undue admiration and accreditation
We’re beyond allegations and accusations of criminal irresponsible desensitization and legitimation
Way beyond denials repudiation vacillation and claiming a convocation for immediate restoration
The truth is we’re an actualized and glorified civilization cohabitating with vegetation and crustacean
We claim to have more intelligence yet all we show is irreverence greed alienation and agglomeration
The truth is the damage humans have created in the last hundred years amounts to irreparable laceration
Optimists say it’s not too late to opt for self-preservation with inspiration adaptation and indoctrination…

One day,
I’ll be able to look at you and not cry.
One day,
I’ll be able to look at you and smile.
One day,
I’ll be able to actually look at you with,
Nothing but hope.
Nothing but admiration.
Nothing but appreciation.
Nothing but gratitude.
Nothing but love.
But not today
And tomorrow might be the same.
But one day.
One day,
I’ll be able to look at you and not break down.
One day,
I’ll be able to look at you and not feel my heart breaking.
One day,
I’ll be able to look at you and say, “She’s so beautiful.”
No hurt.
No pain.
No tears.
No sorrow.
No regrets.
One day.
On this day of love and joy,
Two hearts become one, oh boy!
A union of two souls so pure,
A bond that will forever endure.
The groom awaits his blushing bride,
With love and admiration in his eyes,
She walks down the aisle with grace,
A smile on her face that lights up the place.
In the presence of family and friends,
Their love story reaches its happy end,
A promise to cherish, love, and hold,
For better or worse, in sickness and gold.
As they exchange their vows of love,
A peacefulness descends from above,
A union blessed by heavens' hand,
Sealed with a kiss and wedding band.
With love and laughter, they celebrate,
The start of a beautiful, joyful fate,
A life of love, trust, and togetherness,
May their love grow stronger with every caress.
May this day be the beginning of a beautiful life,
A love that transcends every trouble and strife,
A journey of endless joy, adventure, and fun,
A love that shines as bright as the sun.
In shadows dark, where evil dwells,
A tale unfolds, of twisted spells.
A figure roams, with eyes so cold,
A narcissist psychopath, stories untold.
His charm deceives, a polished guise,
A predator lurking, behind those eyes.
With silver tongue, she weaves his web.
To feed upon the souls unaware.
A master manipulator, she plays her game,
Toying with hearts, igniting flame's.
She craves admiration, her ego supreme,
A thirst for power, a narcissist's dream.
She preys on innocence, with no remorse,
Leaving scars behind, an eternal force.
Emotions shallow, devoid of empathy,
Her heart a void, the hole unfilled.
She weaves a web, of deceit and lies,
Drawing victims close, with cunning guise.
Her cruelty hidden, beneath a mask,
A wolf in sheep's clothing, an arduous task.
But the facade shall crumble, in time's cruel grip,
Exposing the truth, as darkness grips.
For a narcissist psychopath, cannot hide,
The scars she inflicts, the tears we cry.
So beware the one, with an empty gaze,
A narcissist psychopath, lost in a maze.
Guard your heart, protect your soul,
From the depths of such darkness, one can't tell.
REDEMPTION FOR SOMETHING
THAT MEANS SOMETHING
ONLY TO THOSE WHO ARE INVOLVED
BOWING BEFORE MEN WHO
WISH YOU TO SEE THEM AS SUPERIOR
WHETHER YOU ARE BETTER OF BEST
BEYOND THE FEATS OF STRENGTHS
BEYOND THE RECOGNITION OF
A PAST THAT MADE YOU GREAT
THEY THOUGHT HIM BEATABLE
THEY REFUSED TO RECOGNIZE
HIS LUSTER
THEY SPOKE OF HIM AS DULL AND UNADMIRIBLE
THEY HONED THEIR SKILLS TO COMPETE
BUT SPOKE HIM AS A NOTHING
AND FIGURED HIM TO BE BENEATH THEM
WHAT CHARISMA HAS HE THAT THOSE
WHO WISH APPEAL FROM MASCULINITY FINDS HIM
UNWANTED AND UNEXCITING
CRAWL BEFORE THOSE WE WISH TO BED
AND LABOR TO BE DEFEATED AS THEY ARE WISER
TO LOVE THOSE WHO LOVE THEM
YET THEY SPEAK OF HIM CHORING FROM BOUT TO BOUT
AND HIS LABOR NON-INSPIRING
THOSE PAST GREATNESSES SEK
FOLLOW-UP AND THOSE
WHO WISH HIM IN OPPOSITION
DO SO TO STRENGTHEN THEIR OWN NEEDS FOR
ADMIRATION AND ATTENTION
WHAT NIGHTS AHEAD HIM
THAT HIS DAY OF WRECKING SHALL FIND HIM
TO BE SEEN AS BETTER THAN OR BEST
MIGHT EACH CHALLENGE FIND HIM
TO ONE DAY LIVE OUT THAT DREAM
HIS BODY HAS MADE HIM AFFORD
MIGHT THE GREATEST WORDS
EVER SPOKEN BE ABOUT HIS LABORS
THAT HE IS BEST
AND THOSE WHO HAS OPPOSED HIM
HAVE DONE SO THAT THEY ARE EQUALLY GREAT OR BEST
The older we get we realize…
although we have the same amount of time each day
it is hard to get together with people we love…
as so many ‘things’ get in our way.
When it comes to our nephew and his wife…
this was a trend we wanted to defy.
The solution it turned out was quite simple…
our mutual admiration…for pie
So we made a date…a chance to meet…
to look each other in the eye
to talk about our lives
our adventures
and to do this over a slice of pie.
And we did…
we met…
we talked like we always do…
we shared a laugh…
a cry
and the conversation went down smoothly…
just like that slice of pie.
As we talked…as we reconnected…
how quickly time flew by…
and before we knew it we had finished…
our conversation…
and our pie
And I thought how wonderful it was to meet this way
as we hugged and said goodbye
and how easy it is to share the beauty of life
over a slice of pie
We decided to do this again and soon as possible
(not to oversimplify)
because we know time spent together with those we love
is about much more than the pie.
Ted liked to ride the rodeo,
it made him feel alive inside,
but he never had that much luck
taking bulls on eight-second rides.
He wanted to reign like his friends,
take home some of the prize money,
so he doubled-down and he placed,
made the top three regularly.
Still, he did not top the rankings,
dnd he was not so pleased with that,
until the day a small cowboy
came to ask for Ted’s autograph.
Stunned at the sheer admiration
in the eyes of that tyke tow-head,
Ted supposed that he should be glad,
not many men bat .300.
Pedro had a gift for making sales,
he could sell sand to desert states,
was going for a big bonus,
the money he could almost taste.
But it went to a co-worker,
who had notched up just two more sales,
Pedro went home in a foul mood,
to his girlfriend, and he railed.
Until he heard a phone message,
fe brother Juan had been let go
from his baseline clerical job,
he he’d survive, he didn’t know.
Juan had barely made thirty K,
so Pedro could no longer see red,
and thanked God he still had the chance
to go out and hit .300.
Chen was said to be the smartest
person in all of his high school,
the kind of knowledge that made all
of his teachers appear to be fools.
At the Physics Olympiad
he thought he’d be regional best,
but Chen’s ego was smashed that day,
he only came in second-best.
You have to see a geek enraged
to appreciated it fully,
then getting fast-food driving home,
Chen ran into his old bully!
The job had truly beaten him down,
and later when Chen went to bed,
he felt quite thankful that his mind
was able to bat .300...
