Loveliest blossom of my life:
All you have done is mending my life.
From you victory to your happiness,
It was my esteem and your radiance.
As you curled around in a motion of dance:
Your happiness gave me a desire to prance.
A prance of happiness, full of proudness,
For my heart raved at the spectators’ loudness.
When you closed your eyes and sang:
My heartbeat raised and with you, it sang.
When I see you as you smile along:
I even forget my darkest days of all.
My darling, you showed your spirit to me
Where only honesty, truth, and humanity are free.
But the world outside…be careful, please be:
For that’s where anger, hatred and pain roam free.
My Angel, I tell this to you because:
One day you’ll go there, without my comfort,
Then bad may come to you, without a cause,
So be careful: you’ll obey, I hope.

You tried to win her over
with dark chocolate and daisies
Passion on beds of clover
always works with the ladies
So why her indiscretions
She revealed it with a sigh
You didn't ask the right questions
the rule book doesn't apply
See beneath all that glitters
her cool choreographed style
It's not hidden in twitters
try looking beyond her smile
Her love you cannot purchase
She can sense if you are fake
Do not play on the surface
dive down deep into her lake
Once she's truly discovered
surely passions will run deep
The depths of her uncovered
whispered secrets you must keep
She'll give you what you wish for
there is magic in her soul
If you just reveal your core
together you will be whole
Don't ever try to change her
that person she'll never be
If you try, she'll leave for sure
for that girl needs to be free!

I remember the first time I heard the word college, a word unheard most of my young life,
Asked my daddy what it meant, you do not need it he replied because you will be a wife.
I persisted this quest at the age of sixteen, because I knew teachers had to have it.
Quickly and fully understanding there was no money for it, unless I did my bit.
I worked after school every day, weekends too, at the local grocery store Old Blue.
Only spent one check in three years, and knew I would have to work the summers too.
Saved fifteen hundred dollars, should have gone to a junior college, instead of one with a U.
Thinking they all cost the same money, I kept working and saving a lot harder than I needed to.
Forty eight years later I have raised three daughters, none of them were ever told to wife.
They got their education young and fast, seeing the pain of mine as I went through all kinds of strife.
It took me twenty-five years to get my education, and they watched me struggle, hard and true.
We never wanted to work that hard, they told me, and my suffering helped them sail smoothly through.
Remembering back I do not blame daddy, his eight grade education fed and clothed us well.
As to any missed opportunities, I smile. My college degrees have taken me through heaven and hell.
Remembering that knowledge is power, and a work ethic is difficult to instill without work,
I am glad to say I lived a great life, that taught me to value an honest day, and did not allow me to shirk.

THE SLANT RAINS
They grew up in the same sprawling city
Didn’t meet until they became neighbors
He was struck by the radiance of her beauty
The first time he saw her in twilight hours.
With fantasy of love months passed him by
He couldn’t muster the courage to talk to her
Except for uttering smile-laced passionate ‘Hi’
Whenever they chanced to cross each other.
She didn’t know when his dreamy eyes
Lit the candle of love in her heart’s corner
Beyond measure it took her by surprise
When she craved for his arms to hold her.
Coming home on a cloudburst night they met
Under the dim street light in a desolate corner
In his arms he felt her warmth in the body wet
The slant rains fused the two hearts together.

AWE WITH YOU
I am amazed
Filled with astonishment
Surprised
Filled with amazement
And I'm in awe with you
Of all of the things you do
I am in awe with you, I am in awe with you
I'm astounded startled
Filled with wonder
Lost for words
Discomposed
None of this has to do with luck
Stunned thunderstruck
And I'm in awe with you
Of all of the things you do
I am in awe with you, I am in awe with you
Unable to believe one's eyes and ears
Wonder struck shaken up
Taken aback flabbergasted
Dazed filled with awe
I was bewildered bemused
Flummoxed floored knocked for six
Bowled over Lord God blown away
Mercy me I'm gobsmacked staggered
I'm in awe, in awe, in awe ahhhh...
Lord God, I am in awe with you
And I'm in awe with you
Of all of the things you do
I am in awe with you, I am in awe with you

Star of Wondering
By Mark D. Stucky
Luminous mystery in the night,
are you supernatural light?
Or a supernova
shining bright?
Or a planetary conjunction
in iconic constellations?
Or a comet with radiant tail,
leading Western a procession?
Or only an ancient tall tale
spun from myth and legend?
Two millennia passed since your visit,
yet still we’re wondering
about your physics.
Astronomical anomaly?
Mere mist of myth?
Or dawn of divinity?
First Christmas star,
we’re still wondering what you are.

The night wait for its dawn, a new day bringing new hope
Tomorrow sun will again shine, bringing thousand opportunities of its own
Being a mortal, we can only hope, main thing is in the hands of God
Seek the God, for verily in His remembrance hearts and soul find peace
Do not lose heart nor fall into despair! You shall triumph if you are believer
Surely the help is on its way, waiting for you to accept Him as your Lord
Indeed with hardship there is ease, the greater the hardship the greater the peace
Apart from Him, I will also be there for you, as a advisor, friend as well a brother
And Soon these lips that are persue in depth, will have smile of their own

“The kids are fast asleep,” Bob whispers to
his wife.” Ann smiles and mouths, “That’s great.” They go
to get some snacks and drinks before they start
a movie, with the volume set quite low.
It’s chilly, so she whispers, “Honey, hand
me that fleece throw? Come closer; we can share.”
They watch and cuddle, sip and munch, and laugh
about the silly movie but don’t dare
get loud. They must not wake the kids. This is
their time to be alone. Then halfway through
the show, he whispers something in her ear.
She says, "I love you, Babe." They hurry to
turn lights and TV off—the second half
can wait. They’ve better things to do! Each time
he whispers those sweet nothings in her ear,
she knows the night they share will be sublime.

I love you! Your flowered eyes get bright
To see me simply walk into a room.
They follow me and keep me in their sight.
How I adore those pretty eyes in bloom.
My love, words uttered from your perfect lips
are precious pearls, fair treasures from the sea.
Each syllable in honeyed cadence drips
a nectar which is sustenance for me.
My love, you are the moon and stars to me.
I’m mellowed by your aura’s softened glow.
There is no other face I long to see.
Come lie beside me now the lights are low.
This night with you I have been dreaming of.
Let's make of this sweet night a dream, my love.

Motivate
I have been carrying a planet on my back for so long, it’s still trying;
Because every time I make it to near the top of Mount Mind,
I am destroyed; taken from mine.
A seed falls from a leaf,
As a once upon a time witness,
To the being that was, or is, or could be me.
I am stood here waiting for a reason to carry on;
But I cannot carry a world when I stand alone as one.
So I will share my burdens with you all;
Help me to help another, or help another,
If you hear them call.
We all need good neighbours,
I must get to know mine,
But time flies!
People lose belief in everything,
Shaded beneath the mango tree.
Nothing even matters anyway; right?
I just cannot see a way into the light.
I cannot motivate, nor can I hate,
When all I feel is in view for you to rate.
I cannot motivate myself to improve my health;
I need help to find a better way to leave this Hell.
Eating better, but still smoking;
I would laugh, but I’m not joking.
Fictional love behind the steering wheel.
Driving force in need of being healed.
We begin again too many times to make a difference.
Waiting on your world too many times to be of any consequence.
I took control of my own life,
By taking down the fences.
Waiting on your world to change.
Your TV no longer shows happy days,
When I am in need of being mended.
Waiting on a world,
Whilst I am trapped inside your zoo.
Without loving words we will remain as two,
When we should be as one;
Not gone.
One thought, one mind;
A sign of the times should shine.
Sing the sad tunes and remain in the dunes;
The claws in your back has not and will not be removed.
Skin too tough to ever be just right.
Life is our basic instinct.
The caged minds hide all their sunlight.
One move, one fall and all this goes away;
Away into eternal night.
This is no time for wishful thinking.
This is the only chance I have to live this life.
