Summer Challenges

The sun rays from above come into play,
Causing men and beasts alike look thirsty;
They care to stay well-watered every day,
And to protect even each plant and tree.

People opt for light-colored, loose textile,
So they can easily breathe the fresh air;
To aid their body contain heat hostile
Of the scorching sun that's too tough to bear.

Smooth skins apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen,
Wearing hats and sunglasses for their eyes;
They seek shade under the leaves vast and green,
Thanking the sun behind the cloudy skies.

Summer makes us learn symptoms of heatstroke,
Heat-related illnesses say no joke.

Premium MemberRide of the Fairy Queen

A regal fairy queen rides by
upon a puff of air,
her silky garment billowing
in wisps of soft blown flair.

Beneath bright beams of golden sun
she rides through meadows green
upon a tiny unicorn,
but so seldom are they seen!

Her light-colored horse is elegant,
a beauty such as she.
Exquisite in its form and grace
as all magic things should be.

A lovely metamorphosis
beguiles the path they take
as blooms soon bare new sparkling hues
wherever hoof beats leave their wake.

Bright crystal droplets on silky threads
soon cross the meadow's floor,
pixie rainbows follow them
it is a sight one can't ignore.

When flowers lift their heads up straight
and turn into the wind,
look for the signs this fairy brings
that far too soon rescind.

Serenity and joyful hearts,
Will bless those who are nigh.
Enjoy the feelings that might be
before the moment passes by.

As dusty air soon settles down,
so does one's magic touch.
So tarry and don't hurry off
for the blessings that are so much.

Death

I detest You
I love you
Your pick
Far-famed to all
Light-colored or dark
Affluent or impoverished
Young or aged
No one breaks free
You vicious but just
You don’t compromise
When it is time
You appear like the sun
You rob on daylight
You leave contusion, ageless bruises
You Rob in the dark
I speak to you cruel but fair
Why didn’t you give me a chance
A chance to say good bye
You so cruel but fair
I dislike you
I love you

A Fool's Death

Drop after drop
my calm burns by the cold fireplace
like the rain on the glass, reminding
me of a taping dance.
Patience is the bastard son of virtue
running in short supply.
The wind is adding to the window's torment,
impatiently watching my sorrows
etched on my forehead.
I go out, drenching my haunting fears
adding to my quarantine torment.
Can't leave the house cause I have
a compromised immune system unallied
with my self-restraint.
Sky's clear now, water cleaner, the
bitter chill's definitely over.

Not wearing your mask, that's alright
we 'll fix you with something light-colored
to wear, good now lay your head back
and let me be clear, your fool's act
has cost you your life and now we're in the air.

Premium MemberCanada Geese

Visited the lake today with my ever ready walking pal
Saw gatherings of floating geese savoring early morning joy
With eminent elegant black necks and heads with striking white cheeks
They were dabbling in shallow waters with heads dipped down for a morning feed
Swaying in a long line in a playful manner
I saw many pairs enjoying squawking, honking and flapping with an amusing demeanor
Light colored breasts and dark brown feathers
Drawn-out curved necks and webbed feet bottoms
Socializing with bobbing necks while making spherical breakers
They looked absolutely dazzling frolicking and whirling in the lake waters
I enjoyed the scene while playing fetch with my lab
Was glad to see that her swimming and fetching didn’t disturb them at all
Being compliant, they moved away a little from the shore
Giving the lab some room to carry on the game that she adores
They kept relishing twirling in the lake showing their cooperative communication
Teaching me about important family values of love, care and compassion

Rainbow Colored Camouflage

Rainbow colored camouflage

I wonder if it would be see through?
Say it were such case, my
goodness, gracious . . .

My personal fave...
   I'm partial toward indigo.

   Yellow
Now that's a light colored little
   fellow.

"Dude I think saw a woman's nipple. Worse yet, it's an untimely time too..."

I must admit, but I had myself
   watching the clock.
No worries homie, I'm fitting to do the exact same thing you about to be doing.

Watching the clock?"

Oh all hell no...you be trippin' foo. Matter of fact the clock
   watches me.

"How could you possibly suspect an inanition, like a clock, for instance—
personally am soon to become a clock—
To be watching . . .
Indigo
 Yellow
Rainbow colored camouflage.

Blue Eyes

I first caught a glimpse of you at school on the bottom of the stairwell. Your eyes were so blue they literally made my heart melt. You gazed at me deeply but I turned away quickly because I couldn’t picture a you and me.
A week after that you told me you liked me. I laughed at the idea of someone thinking I was pretty. We talked all day, through the twilight of the night. All I could think about was the color of your eyes.
You had me head over heels. Just the thought of your name couldn’t keep me still. Your touch was so warm it calmed all of my storms. You were such a smooth talker, which drew me in more because I was a writer.
Yet still I didn’t think you were the one. My friends tried to convince me ‘til my ears drew numb. Still I didn’t understand why I liked you, as you were quiet young.
I never drew interest to boys with light colored eyes and a curly topped head. But your soul had something different. Different from the rest.
I felt this was destined to create a huge mess. But when I’m with you, I feel my absolute best.

Premium MemberLove of My Life

I have heard that all women listen to Your words
Those captured by You, smell like myrrh and You.

I would call You, Sampson, but Your hair is more like wool
There You stood, clad in light colored hand woven garments.

I could see why women would await Your presence
Your yes is yes, and Your no, is no.

You're known to take Your women from rags to riches
Your servants know You calm contentious spirits.

One woman sat strumming on her polished guitar
Another with tapestry, was content You were near.

Other women waited your arrival with glee
They had already rested their case with Thee.

I wanted to be a part of Your crowded caravan
But it wasn't up to me; Your eyes took soul searching stance.

I could feel it in my spirit you agreed
Those untamed parts of me, were Yours to tame.

Something Mexican About Her Love

I guess them fine
and sexy eyes.
Got me going
that long beautiful.
Black hair sweet
smile blocked my mind.
Brown light colored
skin made me almost.
Sin with that soft lovely
round tail on you babe.

A Ripple of Some Emotion

She received a belligerent and suspicious stare,
from the dark demon of hatred and fear,
the dark demon was once an Angel,
he had no wings,
sharp shoulders hunched,
and sharp teeth that stings,
a ripple of some emotion
washed over her face,
she sensed the demon’s motion,
but she wasn’t afraid and there wasn’t a trace
the demon stirred, purred, almost like a cat,
face deep, dark, and looked like a bat,
her strange light colored eyes
flickered, sparked,
when the demon released the flies,
from the stench his body gave out,
she turned her head,
but nothing was said,
the dark demon just fell to the ground,
not breathing, completely dead.
