The moon is a silver lavaliere,
Hung in a navy blue sky.
As I walk the quiet streets of town,
I give a gentle sigh.
All is finally quiet now,
Restful, peaceful, still,
And looking up I see a sight,
That gives my heart a thrill.
Countless stars adorn the sky,
Like diamonds lain on velvet,
And I alone am witness to,
The heavens treasure secret.
All others locked behind their doors,
Lie in peaceful slumber.
They miss the beauty that I see,
They miss the silent wonder,
Of the diamonds and the silver,
That decorate the sky.
They miss the matchless beauty,
That chills and thrills my eyes.

The moon is a silver lavaliere,
Hung in a star spangled sky,
And the breeze in the near by evergreens,
Gives a softly scented sigh.
The benighted pond sparkles brightly,
With a thousand twinkling lights,
Reflected off it's surface,
From the night sky's velvet heights.
A light snow's falling softly,
Upon the quiet streets,
Sparkling like diamonds,
Beneath my booted feet.
An owl gives his sentry's call,
Who goes there for there's few,
Who ventures here this late at night,
No one else but you.
But I love to walk the streets alone,
When all is quiet, still.
Just me and God and my two dogs,
To hear the night bird's trill.\

Welcome from the heart, Oh Brown
Oh how sweet angelic your love!
Oh Brown
Today's your breeze
Perfumed Musk and Saffron
O Brown
Your night aromatized rose and ambergris
Oh Dear best hope and desire on
Oh Brown
The essence of your lavaliere diamonds
To you the best felicity on and on
Oh Brown!
