Latoya Poems

The School Boy

Love and laughter lifted the lukewarm and lethargic lad. He loathed school and took with levity its lessons. Lady Latoya let him understand that formal tutelage keeps life buoyant. She helped lessen his livid nature. She made him know that leeway is not a license for laziness. Everyone lauded Lady Latoya.

RIP Olivia Newton-John and Latoya Jackson

*Repeats of lyrics - basic free flow ...

Take a chance on love
Cause it's from above
Take a chance on Him
If you believe in Him
If you feel to ... just let go
You're in the flow; you feel yourself pass go
You'll feel the glow
(REPEAT)
Take a chance on love
Cause it's from above
Take a chance on Him
If you believe in Him
If you feel to ... just let go
You're in the flow; you feel yourself pass go
You'll feel the glow
(REFRAIN)
Take a chance on Him
If you believe in Him
You lift up higher
Where it is brighter
Cause it's much better
(REPEAT)
You lift up higher
Where it is brighter
Cause it's much better
Crystal springs and skies of blue
Having everything brand new
(REFRAIN)
Fantastic
There are lots of things to do
Having all my dreams come true
(REFRAIN)
It's all bout you
Just let yourself go
(REPEAT)
Take a chance on love
Cause it's from above
Take a chance on Him
If you believe in Him
If you feel to ... just let go
You're in the flow; you feel yourself pass go
You'll feel the glow

Blank

Latoya got her new man now
Her new beau, wow
He calls her babe!!! Aww

I don't see Latoya anymore
We used to be like two peas in a pond
In those days
Well, just a few months ago
We were inseparable, girl!
Watched movies together, dinner and lunch, shopping
          Etc

Her new man came after my old man
Me and my old man, nothing has changed, same s#@t
Her new man got her some diamonds for her five fingers, I guess he has the dough
Word!
Well, me and the story of my rings, trust me there are no diamonds,
Is a story of another day

My life goes blank

Alliteration--Luke and Latoya

Luke Laker locks lengthy lovely letters and lollypops in a
locker lying at lonesome lounge in learning field, linking
lake Lawson to the left of Larry`s law school.Lady Latoya a
Latina licks Luke Laker`s lollypops , looks into and reads his lovely
letters with levity.Luke Laker loses his cool, lashes and lunges
for Latoya and their lips locked in... a long lasting kiss of life,
just like licking lollypops and lemonade.
Later Luke weds Latoya legitimately in a large littoral land zone.

Umi My Mother

Umi ... queen of hearts! Nature's rose. Giving me life's inspiration everyday. Upon your head I place crowned jewels. My God .... blessed me with my mommy! Champion in my eyes... won deaths fight just to stay with me. God blessed the surgeon's hands who repaired your heart. My momma... here for me daily! Royalty gave birth to 3 Sarah, Latoya and... me. Momma ... there's nothing on this earth I wouldn't do for you! Praising the ground you walk upon and so does the concrete springing flowers at your feet. My mommy! Stronger then a force in the universe because when odds raise against you God has you in his best interest, granted another day of restoration! Mom... no words can describe this dedication! I just want the world to know that you are my everything, my soul motivation! Mother Earth to a nation. Happy Mother's Day!

Kim had funny hair when we were in second grade.
She made bad grades and sometimes got paddled
for being late to school too many times.

She wasn't good at jumprope
she was the last picked for any team.

She wasn't someone got paid attention to,
by those of us that got paid attention to.

Kim was white.

Latoya was dark skinned, flamboyant and poor.

During recess, some of us were hanging by our knees from the chinning bar.
Latoya decided to join in.
She never had before, but she
had some athletic ability
felt an urge to show off.

Yep, she hung there exposing her poverty through
the holes in her underwear
because she trusted our urging her to participate
to be sincere recognitions of her
talents.

They weren't.

We made fun of her
in cruel ways
we were seven or eight years old.

Kim, dear Kim, gently approached Latoya and said,
“Come with me, they are being mean to you.”

I learned kindness from Kim.

You Can'T Wow Me Like They Do

You can’t wow me like they do

I am so bored with you

You take me out to the boring restaurant where all they do is slow dance

The other guys buy me expensive clothes

They wine and dine at expensive restaurants, and not fast food like you do.

They let me do what ever I want.

They don’t mind if I dress sexy.

They know about the other men that I date.

They don’t say anything.

They drive the spots cars and they live in the Hamptons.

Each night the come one by one to take me to the club and they let my wild sexy

Dance comes out.

You just want to slow dance

I love to get wild and let my hot dances come out

Your to boring and you like this
