Kahn Poems

Premium MemberKubla Cant

After beginning Coleridge’s dream,

    (exotic fields, great heights, in juicy Kubla-kahn),

lungs met nefarious opium pipe,

quickly rendering Samuel’s tale unremembered

via wicked Xanadu’s yawpish zephyr.

----------

yawpish - hungry
zephyr - a west wind

Premium MemberMy Obsession With Coleridge

Samuel Taylor Coleridge, depressed since his father passed when he was ten.
Friendships with William Wordsworth and Robert Southey off and on again.
Literary critic, philosopher, theologian and poet whom I adore.
Wrote my favorite poem “Kubla Kahn” when he was a depressed poet of twenty-four.
His poetry so lyrically delightful, and supernaturally insightful.
The fact he was an opium addict, to me is simply rather frightful.
Born in 1772, his poetry has had a profound effect on me.
I have loved all of his missives since I was a non-poet of twenty-three.

Vanish Into Thin Air

Vanish Into Thin Air

Into thin air she wanted to vanish;
Never knew how to Speak Spanish;
Mark did miss,
Being ludicrous;
Was with anguish being outlandish.

Perpetuity and Congruity

We propose that purpose of a perpetuity,
Is to encourage ambition in a community;
Minds expand;
We do demand;
It can promote unity along with congruity.

After heating Mr. Kahn about Constitution
and his son and family.

Bell

It is a story of long ago
Story that is passed by wind blow
Genghis Kahn ordered is golden horde
To use bows spears and every sword

To go forth
And attack Europe west and north
The European knights tried to fight against the golden horde
But lost battle of Legnica battle which loosing they could not afford

However golden in this context
Never completed the conquest
What drove them away?
Historians cannot say

There is a tower of a church
That was stopped by the golden horde in their march
And by the order of the king
A tower bell would ring

Was that the reason golden horde tailed tail
It is a possible tale
But what about the bell would ring
By the order of a king

What was the song it would ring?
What about it would sing
In my opinion the story about witch bell would ring
It was true final hidden theory of everything

Letting My Hair Down

~Letting My Hair Down~

Feel the paper slightly rough between my fingers
Play with the corner before I turn devour the words thoughts do linger
Sometimes romance - sometimes to learn.

Bubbles popping around my neckline
Steam rising high, perspiration falling
Flicking pages this time is mine-there are no voices calling.

Stretch the full length and feel free not tied
No need to watch the clock
Minutes pass - but my time I bide, this time is mine no one will knock.

I feel clean, complete, renewed
A new vigour, clean body, clean mind.
Time to get out and stop the kids at feud, time to get back to the daily grind…

For God's Sake Man I'M a Doctor

My one attempt at marriage
Was like a union between McCoy and Kahn
Both a wee-bit dramatic
Like living a full fledge grand opera

(McCoy)
"My God man, we're living a circus
And you have jumped off the deep end
What you're proposing is lunacy
I'm a doctor, not a barbarian!"

(Kahn)
"Have you heard the Klingon expression
Revenge is a dish best served cold?
If you want to make this marriage work
Then damn you!!!! Do as you're told!!!!"

(McCoy and Kahn)
"For God's sake listen to yourself
What you're saying is just plain crazy"
"From hell's hot I stab at thee......
For hate's sake, I spit my last breath..........at thee.........."

[no, the marriage didn't work out, haha. And last night I ran into my
ex-wife. She had the gall to speak to me. So I just wrote this with
genuine laughter in my heart.]

Chaos

My anger and pain cried vulnerable soft rapid tears,
My unexpressed love will end the grief of the dark cruelty,
For my self I touched that pain of shame,
My extraordinary fire and desire wouldn't calm the nerve of might
But soft changes cloud the patiently longest reward
Still going strong as colors cause chaos
Havoc keeps rearing its great turmoil
Just like the blood that flows thick as red
I had a dark figured phantom next to my bed,
I’m also known for lyrical disaster,
Mind of a weird shadowed Kahn master,
Now to introduce the modern day poem
The Pope laid to rest, as his spirit remains in Rome,
Thinking and sitting locked up at home,
No friends of the real, all bogus as fake,
Havoc is coming for goodness sake!
