COUPLET
After a couple of Tequila Sunrise
so I swap my drink that'll keep open my eyes
so I had a glass of Kahlua and cream
that's a blunder as I fell into a dream

INNER RHYME
I awoke that felt like a cape of good dope
morning sun I think of myself as undone
but what finds me amiss is what all of this
all awry the land slants slights but not the sky

END RHYME
No matter where I roam sand sea smells like home
glad I be if it's true but sad though I knew
a place that's all new naught a place where I grew
I walk and I moan knowing I am alone

RHYME
Flowers of blinding beauty scents that steal souls
sandy beaches where surf surges and tides ebb
eddibles and delectables island naturals
but minus the faces I know ease my schlep.

Coffee Crumb Cake Critique

Coffee, dawn's waker-upper, cause to rhyme,
The second cup broadens your eyes, sublime,

Noontime, pot perking as penning moves on,
Performing phrases ... possessed noumenon,

Evetime trance poured milk and Kahlua,
Like Jericho's walls, pen falls ... Joshua.

Covid Sad, Covid Bad

It's a new day, a new Christmas eve party streaming live
 when Santa had to drink, Kahlua and cream, tequila to survive
to warm him up, have a little trust that the world is still alive
 as covid-19, coronavirus shiver, quiver all his vibes.

There's the tree, decorated with syringes and vaccines
 goodwill is sparing, feelings and emotions quite mean
but Washington is well and quite alive ringing the Wall street bells
 lying, deluded, and denying the party's really going quite well.

There are Mitch and Lindsay, Jim Jordan and Matt Gaetz
 waiting for the Donald, bowing is never too late, don't hesitate
to do the last tango in White House once hallowed halls,
 whimpering and shouting, demanding for election recalls.

It's all unfair, fake news they create to dispute the majority at will
 ready to secure their historic infamous places on the hill
and Santa (he doesn't really exist), don't resist
 as he slips in quiet, cautious as a mouse thru the house
 without a present for these lice, foolish integrity deprived louse.

They bully and they banter slipping in and out of reality and time
 not one Christmas gift beneath the tree will they find.

Black crow surveys
Two sparrows chat;
Food for thought

~~~~~~~~~
Air-con leaking
Messy affair;
Slippery pathway
~~~~~~~~~

Two toddlers laugh
Playground adventure;
Proud parents chit-chat

~~~~~~~~~
April showers
Thundering rain drops;
Wetness blooms
~~~~~~~~~

Moments freeze
Swirling slowly;
Rainy day moods

~~~~~~~~~
By my work desk
Piles of paper books;
Hoarding feels good
~~~~~~~~~

Telephone call
Old friend chuckles;
Brief encounter

~~~~~~~~~
Chocolate ganache cake
Home made delicacy;
Out of this world
~~~~~~~~~

Time and time again
Same old complaint;
Not enough time!

~~~~~~~~~
Kahlua and cakes
Tea time conversations;
Mingling sighs
~~~~~~~~~

Stone bench moments
Old man resting;
Sunny sparkle

~~~~~~~~~
Bamboo leaves
Spiky ornaments;
Oriental scene
~~~~~~~~~

Arithmetic means
Weak economy;
Tighten your belt

~~~~~~~~~
My Girl
That's my girl, wanting me!
Because I'm not you.
I don't leave her feeling blue!
Is that my girl, glaring at me?
stereo-typing me?
That's my girl, pressuring me!
Is this my girl, trying to change me?
Keep me under lock and key?
Live a life of mediocrity?
My new found girl,
selfish in her insecurities.
She'll never dim this light,
I come with a certificate of authenticity.
That's my girl, sitting next to me!!
Wanting to be with me.
Warm in her Snuggie,
collaborating on some poetry.
Sexxy as can be...
That is my girl, light complected coffee girl!
Hazelnut stare,
Kahlua scented hair,
beauty like this is rare....
That's my girl, wanting ME!!
Your jealous and I don't care!!!
Kahlua drizzled on top
Ice cream sliced like pie.
Dark fudge floats in the center.
Crumbled oreo crust
Floating in hot fudge.
Ambrosia
Gentle Tinkle Dressing Bell
Rusticated granite  Great staircase
Mistress of a vast wintry country estate
Drew in a breath brilliant jewelry  poodles
Soft wooly sun warmth wash over her body
Mahogany gold mouldings red flocked walls
One sausage two small potatoes green peas
Borche pears in brandy dollop of kahlua cream
Tall  windows  green upon green of countryside
Double storeyed space balustraded gallery level
Full length portrait carved peir glasses fireplace
Eat  the flesh and throw  the stem into the fire
Smell  his aroma  eminating from her body
Radiating like a slow tide on a flat beach
Pronounced flush rush of heat building
Hand on her knee Waggling a finger
Smartly pared  the fruit humming
Pina coladas, problems soon forgotten.
Quince liqueur, if I have the time.
Rusty Nail, the kind I don't mind if I encounter.
Sex on the beach, now that's always fun.
Tequila one, tequila two, tequila three, tequila floor.
U-238, the only bomb I wanna be blown away by.
Velvet Hammer, can pound on me anytime.
Whiskey, Irish whiskey, preferably...goes down smooth, doesn't burn.
***, the Molson that will wreak havoc with my head.
York Peppermint Patty shot when my breath needs refreshing.
Zima, for something to break the ice.
