Jingoism Poems

Victim of War

A victim of war

His country had gone to war ostensibly against a fascist state
which Gregory the 19 years old man, found strange it was
his country doing the invading.

The propaganda had been relentless, the great patriotic war
that had killed millions of people of his nation, made it clear
his destiny was to help win this war.

The pressure from his family was strong the jingoism strong
the propaganda that vilified the enemy, bore fruit
Gregory who hated guns and violence finally joined the army.

After training as a soldier, found himself in enemy territory
marching towards a town he had never heard of, someplace
on the enormous expand land for growing wheat.

Somewhere in a hollow of this landscape bushes and a few trees
he was glad to see greenery and looking up the sky was blue.
Gregory didn’t hear the shot, he died with his boots on.

I Can'T Breathe

I am tired of trying to be cool
I am tired of crying like a fool
I am not born to be silent
I am not born to be violent
But the fact that I'm dying
Is what I can't keep denying.

I can't die for nothing
So I will live for something
I am not a thug, let me be!
I am not a slave, set me free.
If I am treated like a predator
Expect me to act like a dictator.

Let me choose my reaction
If I can't change your action.
I can't quench fire with fire,
Can you stop starting the fire?
If my skin colour scares you
Your shadow is ashamed of you.

There is a place for every race,
Give black race some breathing space.
Racism is certainly not patriotism,
Add justice to your jingoism.
All lives matter when justice is served,
No race deserves to be severed.

Drowning in our incubus sleep,
phantom enemies are devised.
Easy answers for night terrors.
Social purgatory for the stranger,
Our river Styx for the brown ones.

Our fortress must wall them out.
Brown poverty is culpable.
Starving families must be criminals.
Racialism winking and nodding.
Jingoism sneering and taunting.
Everyone knows the words.

ICE round up the suspects.
Our delirious sorcery making police raids.
For us wall builders, it is always midnight.
For us distracted, there is never safety.

We are detainees of our nightmare,
POWs of our wraiths.
The smeared tirades offer glaucoma.
The duplicitous liars supply our slumber.
The scapegoating harangues support our night blindness.
Yet, we always awaken sweating
in our witless twisted sheets.

Jupiter’s Juturna could not have been here without you,
Twenty pages of J words in World Book dictionary,
I am amazed at how many of your words express some form of joy.
Jubilee, jestor, jokester, jackassey, jublilate.
Jeepers, J, you are so awesome!
Jingoism and jiggery pokery should have been re-named.
They do not fit your joyful jewel-laden jambalaya.
Jovial joyful Jolly Jubilant Jay, I am in awe.

Solace

Thorns of liberty,
Street of massive enmity.
Pinnacle of unseen threat,
Nausal,chronic and offensive pets.
Path to menace
Solace!

Cat feed on cat; happy hour.
Wealth varies to poverty tower.
Deflowered road,heightened corruption,depression,
Economic degradation,death,sheol,recession.
Inhuman,omission,partisan jingoism,
Imperialism,racism,colonialism and all 'ism',
Insanity,antisemitism,lethargy,
Symphonic,alienation,kinky absurdity,
Neo colonialism,post colonialism,Africanism,
Beggy beggy-lism,olosho-lism,maxism,
Indiscipline,indecision,invasion in our axis;
Gives us solace!; Oh our solace!

Premium MemberDrench Me American Sky -

They want to burn the flag today
to them America's blood born banner
represents jingoism, a false heroism of a broken day
a culture illegitimate in divine manner,
feeling excluded from rich spiritual deposits
cursing the color of a People truly progressive
a breed disinterested in the Marxist and Maoist,
feminists and racists come to set fire to Liberty's starry votive,
impudently waving the national rags
of failed narco states and theocratic tyrannies
chanting dystopic glories of thuggish brags
with savage violence assaulting children, women, and men with American identities,
have they ever bothered to read the 1st, 9th, or 13th Amendments
will they ever realize the illusion of ideological hatred,
in our land they live with victory's compliments
yet grown fat on the lies they've been easily fed,

We, Americans, have a heritage, and citizenry
composed of good natured, disciplined hearts,
educated, informed, and compassionate to humanity,
folk, from every continent, creed and diverse smarts,
Come, you ignorant miscreants
come and burn this flag I wear with honor and pride,
come burn it,
Over My Dead Body!

Dialysis

I walk with my sister and we are young
And her knees are less broken; they swallow
petrel calls and soon we are
equivalent. I call these my oceans. I
shriek with my sister, we wished the
evenings would take our wolf-like sounds
and make us un-speeched.
We are straight and know the meaning of
artificiality. It is this:
jingoism, pesticide,
beaches steeped in rich, naked men.
I promise to protect my sister from optimism,
and together we are impatiently
consumed by mosquito thirst. When we grow
pale, I offer her dirty laundry,
grass stains. In her mind, she is already
past alternatives, and has forgotten
those rhythms. Beneath the ocean, I am
subdued and I am drowning in inanity
And there is a chain wrapped around my sisters
foot; really it is a snake. I am
bellowing the chains, willing her to acquiesce,
but she whispers to the snake,
sweetly, and it slackens, and she is walking
into naked beaches.

The Prologue Poem

O love! Tell them, the good men,
In your own old melodious tone:
Let’s again—Return to Nature.
Whatever little or large is left,
Let’s re-adorn her.
And if they won’t!
Let’s—You and I.
Hand-in-hand walk away of the city:
Biharis stay by the smelling slums;
Laid-off-addicts stand in long queues; or the clerics kiss the petty politicians on brows.
Where monsters: War-weopens, Jingoism, Globalization, Modernity, and Machines,
 Have spread havoc!
And find our abode, there,
Near the breezy woods, in the calm country;
Where well! I can meditate,
And you’ll have all that childish fun…
Running after the flies, or fighting with the bucks,
Dancing in sultry summer’s bursting rain,
Or mimicking a singing bird.

Sober

My heart over-flow with sadness
Having no one else but loneliness
as my partner
For belijorants surround me.

In my heart,
dubbing takes place
Sober I feel for
belijorants surrond me.

A hullabaloo in my head
I feel so humdrum
Why was I humdrumed at?
Maybe they are belijorants.

On a mire I stand
Sinking deep and deep
Loneliness I welcome
For I am sober.

Through a loophole I move
logically lopeared
Unto a maple I grip
A maxim of wickedness.

A megalomaniac I become
faced with mediocrity
A migraine attack I recieve
For belijorants surround me.

Here I am, sober
loneliness I embrace
To obliderate sadness
A motif of jingoism.
