Irascibility Poems | Examples

Premium MemberYou Don't Belong Here

This woman is unlike anyone I have ever seen.
She keeps pumping her money into the machine.
Her displayed irascibility is causing quite a scene.
A casino is a place that she should not be.

Lady, just because you are losing, don't take it out on me!
Just get up from the machine, and get yourself free.

Premium MemberLess Than Dandy Sandy

There was a great big storm named Sandy.
This behemoth was something less than dandy.
How she displayed violent irascibility!
Most of us never saw such a devastating entity.
With her wind and rain, much of New Jersey was laid waste.
Residents were forced to leave everything behind in haste.
In the aftermath of this destructive weather,
we are putting the pieces of our lives back together.

Premium MemberGood Riddance

Nobody is going to shed any tears for you.
This has been the last time and we are through.
I have tolerated your egregiousness for too long.
It is easy to see all along, you were wrong.

It seems since you have decided to roam,
I can at last attain a peaceable home.
The walls show the marks of your irascibility.
Impetuous actions have damaged indelibly.
How could you attempt to keep me on a shelf,
when you could not even control yourself?
It seemed like your abuse was going to last.
Thank God all your actions are now in the past.
My attempts to conciliate were to no avail.
I do not care if you rot in hell, or in jail.

Premium MemberAdios

I can live without a troublemaker like you.
I don’t owe you a thing. There is nothing due.
“Give me this, give me that” is all you ever say.
Nothing ever changes. It’s the same from day to day.
Now I see a different woman today with my eyes.
Believe me, I won’t flatter you. You are no prize.
I am sick of your selfishness and your irascibility.
Nothing will please me more than seeing you move to another city.
Right now, the way I feel, I would rather kiss a toad.
I would like to throw you out the door into the middle of the road.

Premium MemberYou Are Out of My Life

You have the most capricious personality.
You are a woman who is unpredictable and flighty.
When it comes to resources, you display profligacy.
There seems to be contempt whenever you see me.
However, that is nothing to your irascibility.
There is something I now know with great certainty.
It is all over. You are not the right one for me.

I can easily see that you have inexplicably changed.
In a short time, you have become unstable and deranged.
You have driven me to the brink with the way you treat me.
Anyone can see that your behavior is unequivocally,
the most concrete definition of cruelty.

For being the ultimate example of a virago,
I have no alternative but to let you go.
I want you to know that I have taken all I can.
I will allow you to become a problem to another man.

History Will Judge Me

History will judge me I'm finally told,
when greatness will be mine to behold;
this naked truth has always reflected my intent...
nobody has ever been able to muzzle any sentiment.

Negative criticism can't eat away my spontaneous creativity,
and diminish this inwardly intricacy;
and if irascibility seems irrepressible...
no irony is found in relevant words that are totally irrefutable.

History will judge me for my free will,
examining my morals and authenticity,
and by its own standard, acclaim me as they will...
even for my fluent and expressive verses of sincerity.

Belying is not the mendacious creed I profess,
intolerant of inequality, inflamed by fairness...
expelling deeds of duplicity that impinge on truthfulness;
and the imbecile, like the scoundrel, still practices insolence.

History will judge me for my temperament: sad, jaunty,
jolly, jocose, comical, querulous, lonesome and moody;
and should it immortalize me among its chosen literati...
this honor I will accept with acclamation and dignity.
