Iou

A novel, that was different, to everyone
Timeless, yet eternally grateful
He left thanks, for all those he loved

Just below, 2 dates, and his name
Sat the letters, for all those, who came
Once read, they wrote, their stories

reddened by a vibrant sun
infinite, treasured, playful trips
of youth perfected, minds begun.

Drivel
fueled creativity in our veins
more effective than any lecture
more durable than the double AAs
powering flashlights at bedtime.

Drivel
was never
just
Drivel.
