What I do not like

I do not like psychologist
that proclaim
they know the intra me
they did not feel or see

They proclaim they know
Yet they are far
Away from the practical show
A show deliberately created

I need not speak
For the owners of these
Deliberate plans
Know , for now

I rest in the comfort
The love God offers
For His Love is truest
Above All.

My will

I will not be subdued
by either the
Inter or intra
Fears of this world

Those fears send from
The external
For clearly and
With own eyes
Seen not internal

The internal are
Natural in all
Provoked by the external
To conform

My will is to trust God
Alone and Faith
My pillar
To do just that.

Premium MemberLife As a Blowhole Like a Whale

...with apologies to Ogden Nash

You think you may have missed the astounding
part of you.
The high tide.
Thoughts and things you had missed,
because of you, little gifts not written down.
Lazy, never-to-be-spoken poetry.
Perhaps an intra-personal disagree
caused an absolute apogee.

And so high the low whale, wary of the deep,
but also, the shore,
will speak forevermore.
A whale of an idea for those
terrestrial walkers of beaches,
and for those who walk inshore.

I offer something more…

If you find nothing you can hold in your hand,
then think again.
And pray that the last gasp from
the blowhole of a whale
will bring you back to high tide,
and pull you back in.

The cichlids patrol their 48”x18”x18” tank and
though this country has been officially metric since
April Fool’s day, 1975, I still measure fish and tanks
in inches, feet, ounces, pounds and gallons.
A mix of African cichlids, from lakes Victoria and
Tanganyika, but tanks are the only world they’ve known.
Cichlids are of interest to me because of their diversity,
they're the fish equivalent of Galapagos finches.
But I really keep them because their bright colours and
constant motion especially at feeding time provides
a brief respite from the humdrum.

Each species more or less keeps to themselves,
establishing ever shifting territories in the
nooks and crannies of the rock wall I built,
that runs through the middle of the tank.
There is a balance of density and species,
which I never quite manage to maintain and
as they mature, intra and interspecific aggression
becomes a factor and every so often, I’ll find
a beat-up loser floating at the top of the tank.
But other times they breed successfully and
if I separate the mouthbrooding female early
enough, I can raise another generation of fry.

A Recipe For Fun

A RECIPE FOR FUN
Author: Dennis Howe
February 2001

Take ten
seasoned ball players and throw
in a large pinch of leather and aluminum.
Put the mix on a dirt field in the shape of a diamond
and add some green salad grass for color. To this, add
another ten seasoned ball players with a large pinch of leather
and aluminum. Raise the heat slowly to about 80 degrees, with a
few clouds for partial shade. No mud. Slight breeze, but no wind.
Add two pitchers of medium grit. Marinade some team spirit and
sportsmanship. Dice some Twinkies, sunflower seeds and chewing
gum. Sprinkle with water and soda pop to taste. With a yellow ball,
at game time, stir all these ingredients together with grounders,
foul balls, fly balls, base hits and home runs, and garnish with a
strike-out or two. Do not add sliding. Sugar, sweat, and verbal
spices can be chopped in at this point. Scoring is to taste and
recorded for future reference. Pour these flavored items
in to a large softball bowl, and then separate into
individual servings on Saturdays at Jaycee Park.
Finish with a handshake, pat on the
back, and a hearty..............
"see ya next week".

Premium MemberResonant Nonjudgments

I would not judge someone
and then some dreadful thing
or some nasty place
or some too distant time.

Let me, instead,
invite judgment from
that one relationship in real spacetime,

Until we each and all resiliently find
what we need
and want
for healthy wealth co-acclimation

Open,
free of negative judgments against,
free to
and for cooperatively changing transubstantiation
known and felt
into warm seasoned creolicizanation
for solidarity
of resilient vulcanintegrationalization,
intra-
and inter-nations.

I would instead be judged in wealthy favor
by some singing simpler one,
healthier flavored for some wavey-swinging hyphenated thing,
abundantly resonant for some pleasantly compliant place,
rooted in solid resilience
for 4D mind-maps left multiculturing race
and emotive time's
right mind
rhythm seasoned grace
pace of timeless space

Let us inside trade instead,
invite outside gratitude from,
that one perennially cooperative nutritional relationship
in real bilaterally timed Earth space,
timeless intrapersonal place,
humane-divinely transpiring
turning
twisting
twirling
teasing
untruncating grace.

Premium MemberI Wear Many Hats

Life can be strange indeed. I, for instance wear many hats. I am a husband, a father, a grandfather, a Christian, not a Christian, a musician, a poet, an Intra faith proponent, an artist, a worship leader, a sinner, a naturalist, an evolutionist, a skeptic, a scientist, a creationist.......... etc....... .Generally, I question everything, and I happen to think that that is healthy. So, for instance, to make my point here, when I am a poet and I wish to express a concept or a string of thoughts, I can at times feel restricted by say, the Christian hat, or the scientist hat. It should, however not be that way. I should be free to express myself without constraint, should feel free, because we have freedom of speech, or do we? Do you get what I am getting at here? Any comments would be appreciated.

To add something else here, some time ago now, I was reading about Zen Buddhism, and I liked what I was reading and could identify with it. However, because in my circle of friends and acquaintances I am generally known as a Christian, I was restricted in expressing my joy and excitement about what I was reading about.

Banking

Leaving banking, I am thinking about banking. When the red humour from the human system drains off, we irrigate the haematic fluid inside through vein-channels. ‘Blood Banks’ with sanguine loans come to our rescue. In cases of renal malfunction, we ransack kidney colonies for mercenary donors. Or don’t we eye greedily at the safest vaults for the bean-shaped organ - at the healthy kidneys inside the frames of our beloved ones? For grafting damaged skin, happily we become clients of ‘Skin Banks’. Those banks supply us with new apparel – bio-RMG, culled from the *****sapiens. In needs cellular, ‘Tissue Banks’ help us consummate the transaction. Aren’t ‘Eye Banks’ the last resort of the visually deprived or underprivileged ones? To cater to cerebral needs, there are ‘Brain Banks’. ‘DNA Data Banks’ through gene cartography help us circumnavigate the vast continents of bioinformatics. Oh that we only had a ‘Philanthropy Bank’ to supply us with liquefied humanity for intra-venous infusion into the sadistic, misanthropic minds!

Irritability, the Moose of Conflict

I interrupt him and he chokes on the words
I don wanna hear your sugar coated words
To me your kind is more vile than crack
Talk of crack its there but its Okey..
for a stitch in time is a rigid proccess
Rather better you snitch its Okey..

Talk of enlightment bujas get real
Its real dark it real sad it night
Daylight knocks and mine eyes
see light once again

Defender you almost destroyed
Whats sacred you almost spilt
The sacred wine - blood
Defender they hurt you but
But you had to let go

Now you have to write
Write a novellette
luis lee are you not
Not the master lee

Defender i got a visit
From the moose of war...

Defender i embraced
Conflict albeit i didnt end up
End up in the abbyss..

Intra-personal conflict
Is the kettle soup of creativity

Premium MemberGlobal Drama of Medical Marijuana

I feel as if walking inside
an impressionistic painting, that too in 3D
as far as I can see, a world of dots and light
the same as what I’m made of.
I see summer in spring.
My eyes touch the sky and sky me.
I feel people staring at me
but why don’t they ask me about my Glaucoma.
My optic nerve, the cable, is damaged
And sends visual information to the brain
And can cause slight vision or even blindness
And am advised to take marijuana,
The most controversial choice
though there are alternative therapies.
I know smoking marijuana has been proven
to reduce intra ocular pressure
and prevents optic nerve damage
but takes a heavy toll
as one has to smoke multiple times a day
for the consistent results
adding to the global drama of medical marijuana.
I am trying it out but…….
Feeling the side effects of depression & exacerbate asthma.

Replenish the Earth (End Line Word Poem)

Replenish the Earth

Every atom, element, molecule, non-living and living were created by---GOD
All things, from intra-atomic “dry” parts to creatures, and man, God----- COMMANDS
These, He planned, created, ordered, organized, and blessed to benefit---MAN,
Even before His work was made fully formed, God said, ------------------“REPLENISH
Earth and man now know: limited resources, extinct creature, and…------THE
Needs: conserve resources, and protect wildlife; we, must replenish------ EARTH…”
