Premium MemberThe Derided Inventor

An independent inventor, Stanley Meyer
Delved into his innate cauldron of genius
Thought ingenuously out-of-the-box
He’d revolutionize the automobile industry.

He claimed to have designed an engine
That he designated as the water fuel cell
Using the established principle of electrolysis
Of water making hydrogen, burnt to generate energy.

Although the concept in theory seemed feasible
Meyer couldn’t demonstrate that it really worked
Skeptics branded the claim pseudoscience and fraudulent
So, water as an engine fuel remained a myth.

Meyer’s innovative design interested some investors
His effort and idea upset the influential oil companies
It’s unclear if his untimely unusual death was connived
Or he actually succumbed to cerebral aneurysm.

Meyer failed to give the world unlimited supply of fuel
But he survives in mystery as a derided inventor.

Sold Out

Sold Out

Wasting and investing, the time limited, we conversed.
We exchanged them like goods in the fair,
You brought few, emotions I had reserved.
The left out sold out, you delayed, in despair.

Appeasing and teasing, the approaching heart, we smiled.
We displayed them like the care for a purchased device,
I remember the ones, I found ingenuously compiled.
The left out sold out, when unnoticed, to disguise.

Discussing and thinking, from the thoughtful mind, we dreamt.
We colored them like the canvas before a kid,
I remember, the ones those evolved, need attempt.
The left out sold out, without hope, in to the pit.

Convincing and conflicting, the transparent identity, we walked.
The hidden we saw like the autumn droplets scattered,
Few those matched, in aspiration pot, we collected.
The left out sold out, like the vapors, disappeared.

Premium MemberCool Water

You are blameless to not swim,
Where water is ingenuously cool,
Too cool for fish to frolic,
Whoever heard of a Procrustean waterbed?
I am taking swimming lessons at the J.C.C.,
From Pasternak and Yevtushenko.
Cool water with cool air generates no breeze,
Calm as a dish.
The pen is mightier than the sword,
And even works as a good oar,
When there is no wind,
And sails luff.

Premium MemberTraveling To Yuliya

What a delight to realize,
While on my way to Leningrad,
You've given me my first 'White Night' -
A day stretched out before my eyes,
A night that won't exist for me,
As 'out of time' as love can be.

The clouds that stretch out without end
Are dusty white and indistinct,
Yet textured like a spongy fleece,
Like water ruffled by the wind
And frozen then, retains a view,
Abruptly shorn of azure hue.

Much like a child the haloed sun
Ingenuously tries to hide
Though brightly dressed against the cold.
Invisible but just for fun,
From cloud to cloud he's pleased to roam
While playing in a park near home.

With sudden shock I understand
What must have once been truly clouds
Are now pink fields of snow below,
Illusion fading as new land -
Dark sculpted, rocky slopes suffice
To shape the glacial flows of ice.

The stagnant sun prisms its light
Piercing a million floating shards
And cold coagulated clumps,
As frozen rivers end their flight
And spend themselves, collapse, give way,
Into the depths of Hudson Bay.

Journey Towards Greatness

Oh, seek you so freely after greatness
Amidst the lands of thought and realties;
Dare you with cupped hands, drink deeply of wisdom’s waters,
That the brain not be found inebriated by false ideologies…
Thinking, from within the vast Pied-à-terre of your brow,
Discovering, self ingenuously endowed.
Mind over matter vs. matter over mind,
Explore now the winds of fact and fiction,
Let your spirit soar and true knowledge you shall find.
Speaking with candor and clear articulations
living not for want of foolish desires;
yet, for the wondrous joys of learning -- aspire.
Think beyond the box that once pained the mind, being set free.
Stand firmly in silence, hear and embrace knowledge
within a continuity of will, filled by hopes, strengthened by certainty. ~ Believe
O’ acumen’s root liken to the growth of the tiny mustard seed
Which fostered properly spreads into the strongest of trees.
Open the eyes of your heart‘s being, freely gifted by this love
Continually enduring throughout the generations
Accepting in truth receive of the Empowered One
Then may you find, the greatness you seek…

The Early Last Post

At close distance sounds the bugle,
melancholia conceived and born,
notes eschewing warmth in
the dewy shades of dawn.
Of this sadness, numb and heavy,
laden with ingots of lead,
symbols of speechlessness
for words that never were said.
They hang black anvils in our minds,
weighted notions that descend,
dispense regret for time laid waste
our sadly absent friend.
We knew of his illustrious flame,
commemorate the smiles he gave,
and send our love ingenuously
beyond the refuge of his grave.
And ringing in our ears
the early last post euphony,
spreads sails of grief and lore
as but for the Grace of God go we.
